there's a specific distance between the hop unit and the middle screw if you do one turn to many causes mag release issues and bb position on the chamber so anyone attempting just please check those tolerances.
You are 100% correct. My setup is all aftermarket parts and has been custom fitted to perfection so I forgot about that possible issue that may occur on a lot of setups.
doesn't that make your hopup too close to the cylinder? when i just screw in my outer all the way it makes my cylinder scratch up my hopup unit. AA cylinder set and AA hopup. maybe it's just tolerances
Not for me. The hopup unit can be moved slightly back and forth before tightening the screws for the hopup block in most outer barrels to adjust for this.
Gary Gora i filed the edge of the outer barrel just enough to complete the last turn and have it in the exact right position be tight to eliminate any movement between the outer barrel an receiver.

I’m trying to get the right thread and pitch of the outer barrel… M30 but not sure if it’s a 1mm pitch thread.
