    Love my grinder and absolutely love cleaning it.

    As above. Love my EG1. I deep clean mine monthly. I enjoy it. Just need a class espresso machine to go with my grinder. Thinking Unica pro.

    @WeberWorkshops, I'm trying to reconcile the alignment procedure in this video (where you caution to leave a small gap between burrs before tightening the lower carrier screws) against the procedure in the standalone video you posted about burr alignment only (where you instruct the user to tighten the grind setting until the burrs touch, i.e., zero them out, then align and tighten). Can you please help explain the differing instructions. Thank you.

    I didn't understand in the section om the allignment the part of "check to make sure,no gaps".
    What i need to check?

    Is it true Weber used some zip ties on the main shaft as bean feeder?

    What about tilt alignment? I was wondering if after the vertical alignment, I should close the gap between the burrs to no movement only for tightening the 4 screws at the bottom (to help with tilt). Thoughts?

    does the feather key need more grease?

    • @WeberWorkshops
      @WeberWorkshops  Год назад

      The feather key does not move, so it does not need to be greased. A small amount of mineral oil may be used on it to make it smooth to insert/remove, but that’s all it would take. Thanks!

    I wonder if the grind quality of EG-1 is not inferior to that of EK43, given that the burr is smaller than EK43.

      My EG1 stalled again today at 800 rpm when I put all the beans in together (18 g).....

    • @acdnintheusa
      @acdnintheusa Год назад

      @@zacchiu1171I’m curious: was it a cold start or hot? I’ve only ever encountered a stall once in two years.

    • @movoyemickele
      @movoyemickele Год назад

      @@zacchiu1171 Really? That's something that shouldn't happen particularly considering the price

    • @WeberWorkshops

      so much more goes into the result than just the diameter of the burrs. Alignment, geometry, shifting the peak with RPM adjustments, ratio of cutting surface to overall surface area, blind burrs vs interrupted cutting area for screw mounting etc

    • @zacchiu1171
      @zacchiu1171 Год назад

      @acdnintheusa Absolutely hot start. As for cold start, it stalled for too many times..

    Apologies for the moan, but why does everything have to be done to music.
