Sigma 28-45 seems right up your alley bro, any thoughts?

I like the idea of a 1.8 zoom, but I really like the 28-75 so I have that extra reach. The 28-45 is like a 35 with a little more on each end, just a bit limiting for me.

I have the Canon R8, I like it but dont love it. I also own the R6 and I LOOOVEE that camera because of the body.
That being said, bodies features are very important to me, I don’t like stripped down cameras, give me some buttons and dials and keep it small.
I am thinking of maybe selling my R8 for a S5ii just for the open gate.
What’s your experience with open gate?

I used it a few times, and I see how it can be useful for sure. One thing I just tested was the 5.9K and the open gate for sharpness just for giggles and If you punch in you CAN really tell the difference in sharpness for sure. So the great thing about open gate up is that you can reframe it and your getting more bang for your buck as you can adjust it up or down if framing was not right. Or up and down if you do social media. I dont really use it for that, but definitely is nice to have the extra sharpness and reframing capability. I used to have the R8 and it is a great camera for the money for sure! I will say the s5ii having a fan is huge to me and the ability to grow into it with 5.9 k is a great bonus. Thanks for commenting and watching man! I appreciate your comments and feedback!

I think I might be the only person on the planet who HATES the look of S-Cinetone. Maybe it is my monitor??? But for some reason the skin tones look a bit muddy to me. (Don't get me wrong: I can find faults with Panasonic's picture profiles, but there isn't one that I dislike as much as I dislike S-Cinetone). On the other hand, the rest of the world seems to really, REALLY like it. In the end, if / when I get an S5 II / IIX, I will almost certainly shoot exclusively in V-LOG since it appears that the noise reduction on the S5 II / IIX has hyperactive noise reduction, and then has edge sharpening turned up to copensate for the lack of detail. Similarly, if I were to get a Sony camera that shoots 10-bit, I would most like shoot in S-LOG 3.
Oh, one more thing: Since Sony cameras in general are so much more popular than Panasonic cameras, I think that a new user would find a lot more helpful tutorials on youtube for Sony cameras than for Panasonic cameras.

Yeah Slog 3 is really good in my opinion. I just like S cinetone for normal shoots just because its easy to add a litlle color or contrast and be good to go, but everyone has his own flavor! Great comments, thanks for checking out my channel!

Zeiss is NOT pronounced "sise", but "tsise". The German zet is a sharp sound, that starts with "t". Got it? Thank you! (you should have known that, before making a video!)
