Got to see Trivium live at Knotfest AUS last night, was such an amazing experience, specially when capsizing the sea started to play and I knew exactly what song was coming. This cover sounds sick and that tone is on point!
So guitar skills, great hair and facial hair, impeccable music taste, great range of guitars, what's not to like here? Also damn, that tone for Corey's part in the solo with the half cocked wah was amazing
I'm going to start a new trend, forget about Torn Between Scylla and Charybdis, when are we getting a Broken One cover, other than that another amazing cover!!
Nicely done! All of your covers are sick AF, your channel is a gem. (If you ever get into Finnish black metal, my wishlist cover songs are Vampiric Tyrant and Kunnia Armageddon 🙏) Keep rockin' 🤘
Got my first midi keyboard recently and was wondering, did you have to split your keyboard into two different octaves to get the bass and the high notes? Or does yours just have a bigger range cos mines only got 49 keys
Yo so I was looking back at your community posts, and i saw that you learned kirisute gomen the old fashioned way, watching live recordings and slowing down the audio, but how do you learn songs that haven't been played live? Like the storm? Is it just listenig to the song and going by ear, or is there some other method I'm missing out on
If a tab is available I’ll use it as a guide as it’s the fastest way to learn, if something sounds off in the tab (usually always) I either reference an existing cover/playthrough/live performance and see what they are doing, if that still doesn’t work I have to resort to slowing the song down in my DAW and use EQ to get the guitars to stand out more and using my ears. The more you do it the easier it gets. Helps if you are familiar with the bands style and formula. For the Storm there was a good quality one available so I referenced that and it helped me hear stuff that was going on, especially post solo. You’ll have to just listen to the song again and again and again and hone in on parts that are blended/buried in the mix. For Kirisute I’m pretty sure I had to study live footage and slow down the song. It didn’t help that Matt never plays his solos live the same as the studio version.
@@curtiswardley6312 Am I the only one who gives more of a shit about pull harder on the strings of your martyr than torn between scylla and charbydis?? 😂😂
Hey Curtis. Long time listener, first time commenter. I can clearly see you used two different shots to do your paino and aren't playing all the instruments at the same time. Talk about cringe amirite?
Nice! I remember seeing them live on the In Waves tour... it was a great show. Can't believe this album is 10 years old already.
You are the only channel that I hit the like button as soon as the video started. Quality assured!
Bless you King 👑

You can hear a "chu chu" at 2:35 lol

This is how you do a cover.
What an absolute unit
damn!!! curtis plays also something that is not guitar! proud of you, great job
The best about it is that his eyebrows lift when he bends the string in the main riff
😂😂😂
As soon as read that I couldn't not see it
Idk what. but something tells me that Triviut is his favorite Band.
The turnarounds in this song are my favorite of all time dude

You are an absolute legend. I'm gonna start twitch streaming soon singing Trivium songs. Mind if I use this giving you full credit?

I swear you covered this already. Or is this just a redo?
Yeah a redo, the first one was from years ago and was trash plus I wanted to do the intro as well as put off doing Torn Between even longer
@@curtiswardley6312 You basically covered In waves twice before covering Torn Between Scylla and Charybdis?
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!?!?!?!?!😭

Is there a instrument you don’t play?
This doesn't look too hard... Lol do you think someone just starting to play could play this (excluding the solo of course)?
