This song breaks my heart since he passed away. Knowing he and Janne will never trade solos like that again, after all those years playing together. Oh well, can't dwell on it! Great cover, keep it up!
On the other hand I am glad that someone appreciates it. Thank you 🙂I feel warmth in my heart. Yes, Alexi's music will live forever. He is a legend. I have been listening to Children of Bodom for circa 20 years and I still have the same pleasure from listening the same songs all over again. Especially this one. There is simply something special in his music. I could talk in superlatives more, but it would be really long text. I also picked up the guitar because of Alexi... Its simply well of guitar wisdom 🙂
@@mightyhell6498 thanks, but I still do some mistakes with right hand I am trying to avoid. You can notice in my latest video Platitudes and Barren Words. But its a long run not to make mistakes with right hand. And I noticed it just after I started recording myself.

Im thinking about buying the guitar you are playing in the video, how is the gain booster and how does it work? Awesome playing btw! On of my favs from I Worship Chaos! :)

@@larsu-gx579 thank you. 🙂 I use Elixir 10-52. Lots of people think, that 52 is not thick enough for drop B, but in my opinion its completely fine. I think Alexi himself combined two sets of strings for drop B. If I remember corectly he used 3 lower strings from .56 set and higher 3 strings from .10 set.
In contrast I would say a 52 gauge gives way too loose of a string, very low tension, I'd use it for a C# at best personally. I use a 56 gauge for B and even that feels floppy and am going up to a 62. It's all preference of course but Im surprised to hear of a 52 gauge being used for B
@@tortyreus2384 I would say it might depends on a brand. Elixir strings have special surface layer and the string itself is not that floppy. Elixir strings are also more expensive because of this and they last much longer. I think back in the day I used some ordinary Ernie Ball strings and they didnt last that long and were really loose in drop B with the same gauge. I should try 56 set anyway, thats a good point with no doubts. By the way I retuned one of my guitars to drop A and I have got the same strings there and its still playable. 😅 But I can slightly feel, that when I play roughly then the dropped string buzzles a little on the frets.
@@VladimirPoliacek that's true, perhaps saying the 56 is floppy on B is a tad exaggerated as I did use it for quite some time before my tastes became more specialized. I also play Elixirs by the way, the only strings I'll use without a doubt. An A with 52's is very impressive however haha, but yeah give 56's a try if anything, personally I like the feeling of a tighter string. I'm actually putting a 62 on soon on a new guitar I'm buying, my "main" B standard guitar, should give roughly 18lbs of tension which I highly like on my 3th and 3th strings currently
@@haydenmoore584 to be honest I have 4 guitars and 3 of them are low budget Jackson JS32T, one is with tremolo and I can honestly say, that with quality LTD is way better, like waaay better. On my approachable guitars I changed pick-ups for active ones and LTD has passive one. It depends what you like more. But you can make nice sounds on both types. Its matter of taste. @@VladimirPoliacek interesting perspective, I have an yngwie malmsteen strat so scalloping is fine, I play quite lightly on my fingers when I’m shredding. I think they have never played it live. Its a song from an album called "I Worship Chaos". Alexi Laiho always composed songs based on his actual feelings and I can imagine, that maybe he didn't want to return to the problem even in live shows? Or maybe the fade out was the problem? Or the fade out might signify unresolved problem? We can just guess why things happened as they did.
