Thanks for stopping by. I saved the heaviest song on In Waves for last and goddamn it is heavy.
I had a tough time with the solos (you can see my frustration documented here: • OUTTAKES - Watch me fa... ) for some reason that day Corey's super fast solo just kept getting the better of me but eventually we got there, may have to invest in some fret wraps to help mute the strings as tying a sock helped get rid of some of the noise that would throw me off during the fast finger movement stuff.
The outro I'm super happy with, the pickscrapes and all that. I read Matt used a ring to make that strange noise that plays through the outro however I decided to make a noise of my own, so you'll see a shot of me plucking all the strings up right near the bridge with some reverb, +1 octave effect and constantly pressing the wah pedal to get something a bit strange sounding.
