Interesting to see comments on these two. 99% made by those who’ve driven neither. I had the 63s gt 4 door for 5 months. Swapped it for the Porsche turbos S. simply put as a daily driver in a variety of road services the Porsche is better made, feels safer and is a different league in ride compfort. Mercs great but it rattles inside- centre console, the Drivers tech is phenomenal ( self driving better than Porsche), it has an amazing gearbox. But Porsche really had the duality the mercs never managed. I was influenced as many seem to be by RUclips and drag results, I’ve learnt they’re poor guides to whether you want one or the other. Everyday of the week I and my passengers would opt for the Porsche. Merc is a hoot but only really does loud and aggressive well. Porsche satisfies the gt remit way way better.

The Panamera Turbo (non-hybrid) Sport Turismo would be the better option. More boot space, easier access, and the rear hatch would accommodate the stroller more easily. Also a lighter car, so more dynamic
OKay.. so.... a few things, 1. the stroller always goes in sideways. 2. The sport turismo would be a better fit for a young family and the I'm surprised the e-hybrid went up against a non hybrid. I'm sure the Panamera Sport S would have been fine.

The BMW M5 would be the weapon of choice, quicker than both and a more rounded proposition. Whilst its not the direct rival for these 2 being a sedan the BMW M8 grancoupe would also work nicely.
Not sure why they didn't use an amg s gt 4 door. That's got more power. No one buying an AMG GT 4 door isn't going all the way and not getting the S version
The comparison should have been made using the Panamera Turbo, it has the same V8 4.0L with 550hp, without the electric hybrid (e-hybrid) system, which adds 300kg of weight and because of that, the Turbo has a bigger boot with 500L, instead of 405L… 😎
@@mafioso8582 that would defeat the purpose of my comment, because the GT4 63 has 585hp and the GT4 63S has 639hp, which means that it should be: Panamera Turbo Vs. GT4 63 or Panamera Turbo S e-hybrid Vs. GT4 63S
The height of the load lips on these cars is ridiculous. What were the designers thinking? Also has this guy forgotten about the E63 & M5 Touring, RS6 Avant?
All these giant batteries hybrid versions of cars are a bit of sham. Because it adds so much weight, in the real world it's not really any more efficient unless you plug in and charge your car and go for short trips mostly. Nor is it any faster than a conventional 4.0L twin turbo V8 without the hybrid because those are 300kg less in weight. What they should have done was something like the Audi R18 etron. ~24kg of weight and you have the capacity to deliver 80+hp of energy. You only need a tiny energy storage to absorb your braking energy and release it back from 0-50kph to give you a lot of acceleration torque, the part of the acceleration phase that wastes the most petrol. You get all the fuel savings, more performance, and almost none of the weight penalty. Almost 10 years ago, they said they could do this by putting such a system underneath the passenger seat or what not. And the only reason why it hasn't been implimented is probably because people don't get tax discounts, since they aren't "plug in hybrids"
