Before the doubters come out of the Woodworks, they should realize that most love those performance meters use internal gyroscopes and not the speedometer. That way, Tire spin has no influence on your 0 to 60.
I use the auto meter d p i c Gage to measure my 0 to 60 and quarter mile. Great video, keep them coming!
I was wondering about myself. Is that reading off a Speedo gear in the transmission or a wheel speed sensor or a different way?
Not this one. Soon as the speedo touched 60 on the spin, it registered.
It’s not being a doubter, it’s having knowledge how the timer registers once the speed threshold is reached. You can also see it in the video, the speedo needle sweeps past 60 on the gear change and then he takes his foot off the accelerator. Think about this, 2.6 sec 0-60 on a prepped track would result in a 9 sec 1/4 mile ET, and you think this car will do that on an unprepped street on a DOT tire?… Calebs car is nowhere close to 9’s, I don’t even think he even has a 10 sec slip yet?
@@g8r5oh10 Right that's .3 slower than dodge demon 0-60 at prepped tracks! So he should be well into the 9's with that time. He has to borrow a draggy from someone which has nothing to do with the speedometer and uses gps tracking to register 0-60 so you can't cheat it with wheel spin.

I can't for more of pops car. It's been insightful. I just bought my first foxbody two months ago and have been fixing other peoples mess ups as well so Im starting to understand the frustration of people doing stupid shit to a stock motor. I'm just returning it to stock minus the AC. It was already removed so. Maybe I'll put one back in the future.

Just got back from a couple pulls in my Gen 2 swamped 85 GT had the car 30 years maybe an 18 GT intake manifold is in the works what a rush!!!
That car is a absolute beast and those 0 to 60 times are close enough to perfectly accurate enough for me and should be for anyone else or even " that guy that comments " and if it still isn't good enough for him just tell him to bring his crap and you will show him in person against his Prius that those numbers are real 😂🤣😆🚗💨💨💨 I know that it's not a fox or a Coyote so its not as cool but I'm building a 347 stroker for a 79 pinto and going with 4.10 gears 5 speed tranny t5 pretty much a fox drive train disc all 4 corners cant wait it should be pretty quick as well car is around 2200 lbs factory but can't wait to see what she will do or "Beans" will do 😁🤟🤙👌🏼🚙💨💨💨💨

Try some pulls on a cool September evening without our east coast heat coast humidity!! You mentioned boost, your piloting a guided missle now. Don't get me wrong I love the adrenaline rush the acceleration gives you, keep the car reliable and streetable.

My Dakota digital registers 0-60 3.0 sec. 306 push rod. I have my Dakota Digital in my fox for many years now. I have been wondering for a long time how accurate it is. Thanks Foxcast. This cool. Now I'm going to have to do sum investigating and testing.

GOD!!! This makes me want to Coyote swap my 1994 GT even more. N/A, and 400+ horsepower, in a 2800-3100lb car! That’s where it’s at.
Even better a custom built N/A 427 that can easily make 500hp 500ft lbs torque.
@@rdy2run332 yea but it wont do it nearly as efficiently or smoothly as a coyote will and it weighs a decent bit more too. I know some guys just dont wanna give credit to coyote swaps and theyre traditionalists who want pushrod motors in them but the fact is a relatively stock motor and the smoothness and efficiency that comes with it can really make these foxes move out hard.
If you put a shroud on that single fan, you would definitely have an official 10 sec pass 😂

Sorry Caleb, but the car is not doing 2.6 sec 0-60 especially on an unprepped street. I doubt a GTR will do that on the street. You're getting those numbers because that gauge is picking up the speed sensor spiking when the tires are spinning after gear change. I use the dragy (much more accurate performance meter) and my car did a 4.01 sec 0-60 on the street and my car is considerably faster than yours (mid 10's@130 at the track). That is cool though that the Dakota Digital gauges offer that, it's a modern touch as many cars come with those from the factory now.

I was wondering same thing. My Gen 3 swapped coupe all stock says 3.9 sec 0-60 through the 10R80 and it has to be faster than this car lol no spinning here as I’m minitubbed on 325/50’s bone stock other than headers.

It's a hot air intake, not a cold air intake. That's hurting you for sure. Still a cool setup!! You'll like the dual Contour e-fans. They cover the radiator horizontally but not vertically, not a problem. Don't cut off the top middle tab, it's a hanger.
