I needed to make a bigger size so I used a bigger hook. Worked out perfectly.

I just finished finished my 1st sweater. This was so easy. I changed the sleeves to a little puffy and added bobbles and pockets. Already started on my 2nd for my daughter. (not giving her mine) :) I love the mini version you are working with!!!

Thanks Alva, I definitely understand you and I did actually do the medium size like your video. I did think myself that it must be something to do with the yolk, so I started to undo all the body last night 😒, only trouble was looking at all that work unravelling 😆😆. I just couldn't do it so now I am redoing the rows that I unravelled !. Your sleeves fit to the arm where as mine are hanging down like sails on a ship 😝. I did try two times last night to redo sleeves and do more decrease rows do you think I should try every other row, I'm still learning so I'm still unsure of myself. Can you come and live round the corner from me and then I can come see you for lessons 😉😉😍😍. Thanks for tip on stitch counting I never thought of that lol xxx

Maybe a little suggestion maybe you could tell us how many stitches we should have at the end of increase rows would be a big help x
Sure! If you are increasing 1 stitch on each corner, you increase 4 stitches on each row. So if you have 60 stitches on the first row, you should end the second row with 64, the third with 68, etc :)

@@shaistaakhtar2716 did you ever figure it out? I too would like to know the measurements because I don't know if the largest size she shared the pattern for will be large enough for what I need. Some creators large is fine for me and some large are a little to tight. I just made a mistake a week ago while making a holiday sweater for myself. I made a large and the measurements given should have worked fine but its still a little tighter than I like so its now my daughters Christmas gift so in the long run it wasn't a waste of time but would have been nice if it had worked the first try. Luckily I know what to do to make another 1 size large even though the creator didn't give the pattern for a XL I paid attention to the multiple LOL. Merry Christmas!

Hi Alva. I am now onto the sleeves of this lovely jacket but they are ending up as wide as the top at the bottom. I am decreasing as you say and I have followed your pattern from the very start, can you suggest where I have gone wrong ? Also there seems be to very large holes under armpit is this correct ? I know you are very busy with all your other work (which is amazing, you are so talented) but please could you try and reply to the questions people send because it saves me from asking them 😂😂😂. Don't pay any attention to rude people that pick you up on your English grammar by the way I think you do really well and maybe they are jealous and I bet they don't speak a word of Spanish 🤗😘
Hi Ann! Thank you for your words! If you want to make the sleeves smaller, you can make more decreases, making decreases every less rows. If you are making sizes bigger than the one that I am making in the video, the armholes are big, because of the yoke shape. You can separate the sleeves earlier, and continue making increases after the sleeves to get the size that you need. I don't know if you can uncerstant me :D

How many chains do i do for a size large i did the medium it was to small and did the big it fit but the sleeves was to big or make the sleeves smaller can I use a smaller hook for the big sweater sleeves
I made the large size with bulky yarn and the 8 mm hook and the jacket comes to my ankles. It also seems that the stitches are looser than the pic. I tried to tighten them up but it is still huge. Did I do something wrong?

Dear Lana, in your jacjet/coat tutorial are you counting the chain 3 as a dbl crochet, and are you dbl crocheting in the top of the turning chain 3 at the end of the row...please reply!
You can count it or not, the difference at the end is only 1 stitch, and you can make the first dc in the stitch that you prefer, you should pay attention and make increases only where the pattern says. Try to not increase if the pattern is not increasing :)

How many yards or meters did you use? The grams is the weight which does not help with measurement.

Hi Darlene! I only have the pattern for this size of yarn, if you change the yarn, you should addapt the pattern :) You can start with the first dc where you prefer, but pay attentions that you are making only the increases that you need in the pattern

Hi! If you make 76 stitches, you will have to increase at the first row every 19 stitches, but the fronts are different, you have in the front moreless half of the sttiches that you have on the back :)

I say in the video that I am making a small sample to show the shape on the camera and how to make the stitches. But using the yarn that I am using and making the number of stitches that I say in the video, you get an medium adult size :)
