    What is required to install the 6.1 heads

    • @jerveypreston2743
      @jerveypreston2743  4 года назад

      They're a direct fit. You will need an eagle or 6.1 intake however and your compression will be higher at ~ 11.25:1 so you'd want to address that in the tune, better gas or thicker head gaskets to bring down the compression.

    • @alexiscoronado2730
      @alexiscoronado2730 4 года назад

      Jervey Preston what thickness of head gaskets

    • @jerveypreston2743
      @jerveypreston2743  4 года назад +2

      .050. The stock is .028. However most people just sandwich the head gaskets by using your old ones with new ones making 5 layers instead of 3. Just putting the added steel shims in. Cheap and effective way of lowering your compression.

      @@jerveypreston2743im doing the same set up. 91/93 would be safe to run and did get thickers gaskets?
