The Triumph Tiger 900 GT PRO is currently the best motorcycle out there. I Have tested this up against my old BMW GS 1200 (2015) which is my previous motorcycle. NO doubt the Triumph Tiger 900 GT PRO is better in every way. More refined and so on. I have had mine now for two months. Do not regret the swap. LOVE IT IN EVERY WAY :)
My brother road GTpro as a possible replacement for his 800Xrt, he thought it was better, but not enough to warrant an upgrade. If you want a bargain (same horsepower) also consider the out going 800.
Thank God. What a relief coming back to this channel haha. I just spent 25 minutes watching a review, and the guy spent the entire video talking about heated grips and the switches on his Tiger 900 GT. This channel starts out immediately with a review of the engine. Yay!!!!! My sanity is returning!
Another great review! Passed my Mod1 test on Tuesday, and now have an impatient 3 weeks till the Mod2. As a fellow Triumph fan, I have my dream bike, a 2016 Triumph Thruxton 900 waiting for me in the garage, but now seeing your review of the Tiger makes me think it'll be perfect for a first 2nd bike..
I just checked the only two Triumph dealers in my area, Anchorage and Seattle ..both show a starting price for the 2020 Tiger GT pro at $16,400.00 add on to that a hefty $550.00 destination charge plus taxes , license and other random 'fees' and your in the neighborhood of $18,000.00! Better be well heeled if you shop for one!! I guess you get what you pay for but I dunno...at that price point, I would definitely look at All contenders seriously before committing to purchase. Thanks for yet another great review. Cheers!
I think you are right, me too use to watch 800 to 1000 adventure bikes but lately prices on them made me change my mind So now I really consider a versys 650 with luggage at 7400. That’s a pretty good deal I believe, if the power it’s enough that is.
Thank you TMF, great review. I’ve had my GT Pro for three weeks now, loving it, awesome bike, comfortable, all the power I need, all the bells and whistles and looks great too.
Thanks again for yet another professional review of another great bike. Other reviewers should pay attention to how you communicate and your bring us these reviews where it actually feels like WE are riding. Take care, friend. Happy trails. 👍
Awesome review TMF, I think like a lot of people have commented the price of these are crazy, they have the top of the line GT Pro Rally at the dealer and it’s the same price as the 1200 Tiger when I bought my Trophy SE three years ago, so the smaller model is priced the same as the bigger model used to be. The 900/800 market is ok for single riders but two up loaded down with gear for long trips it’s just too small. I try to buy English built products as you know, 3 mini coopers in the garage and my Trophy, but when I heard mass layoffs and shifting production abroad I’m hesitant giving them another $20K of my money. I’m leaning towards the Africa Twin for serviceability and it’s cheaper here than the Tiger. Dealership network in Canada is 600 miles west or 800 miles east, which is a little worrying when you set off with the wife on the back. Awesome review as normal, it would be nice if Triumph could comment about the future locations of production. It reminds me of an Apple product “designed in California” written all over it but made in China.....
I'm so excited that you did a review on this. I have a Rally Pro in white. Unfortunately the green was back-ordered for my area (100 miles) for 5 months. If you do get to ride the Rally Pro here are some differences you are going to notice; Can't flat foot, might be close though (i have a 32" inseam, its not to bad with boots). The center stand seems a bit of a hassle to use unless you take off the passenger foot peg (its right in the way for where your calf wants to go when pressing down)... however once you take that peg off it goes up unbelievably easy. If you do take it down a green lane, its going to be really confidence inspiring. The suspension is not electronically controlled, but is really soft and yet you can still really lean it into corners and never feel like you lose any grip. The rear break can be adjusted up by simply lifting up and rotating it to make it easier to use off road (not going to lie, its going to be a pain in the butt the first time you try to do it). One thing you did see or note, that took me a while to realize, is that they only put one sticker on the beak of the bike to tell you what model it is. I just find that funny and weird at the same time. Since you have the bike for a couple of weeks one thing you'll find is that at 65+ mph the screen at the high position will cause buffeting, but in the low position its perfect. If i was to give my two cents on the things I don't like about the bike its really only two things, one is if using GPS through the Triumph app it only gives you turning information and not a full map on the screen even though they use google maps. The second is that the screen needs a rework of the way the rpm is displayed. Honestly both can be fixed with a software flash so its not like its not achievable. Other than that I'll be excited to see the next video on the bike! Great job as always!
Just bought a 2021 Red with added Arrow can crash bars and a few bits and pieces for £13,000. A sort of impulse buy with itchy fingers to go touring again. For the money I thought it was a steal and I can join the TOMCC again which I missed. I am engineering a Clutch Fluid bottle as I agree with you on that one but an Italian chap makes top quality screens deflectors to order and I had one on my last Triumph which was superb. Bigger and wider with a few strategic slits and a slight centre spine to push the air round you. They are quality products.
G'day TMF, I have ridden the Rally Pro and it is amazing! The handling is great on twisties considering it runs a 21 inch front. My off road usually consists of fire trails and solid tracks so the Tiger would suit me to a Tee. On the highways, it is so comfortable. Now I have a drama in that as I'm getting a little older (61), would It be a more practical bike to own than the R1250 GS Beemer that I have always admired. At least I have a little time to weigh up the pro's and con's of both machines, as the bike I choose will be a retirement pressy to myself. Great stuff as usual brother. Have a good one.
Every since my 95 Triumph Sprint set up with all 3 monokey cases I have loved me a Triumph triple. I think this will be my next bike. Especially with all the nice features being factory and not after market. Definitely a plus when the features (both heated seats, heated grips, cruise control, usb ports etc) are calculated during engineering you know they are meant to all operate together going down the interstate. I have had most of the name brand motorcycles at some time but have always been partial to Triumph. Great review!
I'm getting a 900 GT (to replace my V-Strom 650) in a couple of weeks. My regular pillion (her indoors) found it easier to mount than the Strom. Was going to add Triumph connectivity as an option but gone for shift assist instead, reason; prefer phone nav (Osmand) to turn by turn.
I had the pleasure of test riding the Rally Pro yesterday and was blown away. I am a fairly inexperienced rider but, wow, what a bike. The quick shift is amazingly smooth. Went straight into the shop afterwards and placed an order, all sold out of that “green” though. Went for the white....
I traded my RT for a GT PRO a year ago and am loving it. I just finished a 3600 mile loop on the CA coast and Southwest USA…effortless…beautiful handling.
Absolutely stoked for these. I've got almost 3 years of restriction ride out because australia, but man when i get that full license there should be a few used ones of these coming up - silver linings!
Had the 800 and now the 900 and yes the indicator and joystick do slot into muscle memory so are not an issue. If I could of done so I would have kept the 800 (still get the 900) as the "eagerness" of the 800 was fun but the 900 can be ridden very lazy (as if it were just a twin) if you wish to do so. Definately more low/mid range grunt will pick up from 25/30 mph in 4th or 5th without complaint.
Hello mate, just wanted to ask a question if you don't mind. I was in the market for a new 900 Rally Pro, however that might now be more realistic in another 18 months. So based on you're a previous 800 owner, would you (if in my position), consider an 800, with the fact I could pick up a fully loaded second hand XCA for less than £9k, saving me a whopping £5k and be happy with it, or would you wait, be patient and go for the 900?
Hi Andy, after being smitten by the good looks, watching the reviews and reading the specs for this 900 GT Pro, I was convinced that this was to be my next bike. I rode my T120 via my chosen test route en route to the dealership and then retraced it on the GT Pro. I loved the suspension and flickable handling, kept looking for higher gears that weren’t there and was surprised how skinny the hand grips felt in comparison to the Bonneville’s. The seat felt plush initially but it wasn’t long before I started to try to find a different position to sit on it. The real crunch was how tiring the vibes through the bars were, I haven’t ridden the 800, which is often described as being “buttery smooth” so I can’t compare but the new T plane crank and firing order didn’t do it for me. Riding home on the Bonneville felt so comfy and satisfying in comparison and I’ve never been so disappointed after a test ride in well over 50 years of motorcycling.
@@applecorp I test rode both almost back to back, and while I loved the changes to the ergonomics/seat and the engine torque, those vibes were absolutely clear, and I doubt I would stand it on long days. At least with cruise you can let go of the bars slightly.
Been waiting on this vid for ages. Top shelf 1st ride review as expected. Without a doubt its markedly above last years 800. But alas I’m head over heels in love with my 2019 800 XCa. Bought and set up for off-roading. Still learning the skills to return home alive. By checking the vin # I’m told my bike was made in the the UK. Major PLUS in my book. You rock TMF 👍🏼 😎 🇺🇸 🌎
I do like how it sounds and even how it looks, even in the white. Nice standard features like the heated seats etc, although be better as you say if they remained on unless draining battery.
Great review been waiting for this one. I test road the gt pro whilst my speed rs was in for service work. Loved the sound and grunty feel compared to the older 800. Defo will consider one of these at some point. I’ll need to try the rally though too.
Now that could tempt me to buy a new bike. Good price for the high spec and I think it looks great in the white colour. Look forward to the continuing reviews.
I've sold my 2019 800 xrx low. 5 things done under warranty within a year! Not happy at all with Triumph, they really don't like negative feedback so I hope you don't like it after the 2 weeks (corrected in my next comment, that sounded wrong) 😉... their employment attitude sucks too apparently, I know several employees/ex employees. Will do an upload soon. ☺
@@TheMissendenFlyer that's good news. Such a shame though. Tft screen totally packed up, cam chain tensioner went on both our bikes, condensation in headlamp and indicator and paint wore off the switchgear where my 25 year old Pan European is fine. I didn't mean I hope you don't like it, I meant I hope you don't have anything too bad to say. Lol. That sounded so wrong. ☺
Top review. Agree that the colours are bland ☹️ & the tft doesn’t have a circular rev counter 😢, guess I’ll keep my 2017 r1200gs for a bit longer until both Triumph & BMW sort their colour schemes out.
Great review thanks. This bike Just launched here in Brazil surprisingly cheap at ten grand u.s. in this scorching heat the last one overheated a bit. Let's see how this one behaves
I did the test ride on GT 900 basic version low seat and the GT 900 pro . I agree with you fully. Just one aspect I would like to say - when I see throw the fly screen it is blurred. The plastic is not good to view through it. I am 5’4” touch the ground with toes. Short riders would view through it. I have 3rd party fly screen in another bike which is very good to see through it. I may go for this or BMW R1250 RS.
Another great review TMF! Always a pleasure to watch 👍🏻 Do we need to have another comment about getting on a Harley-Davidson? If I can suggest a HD to ride I’d love to see what you think of the heritage classic. I haven’t ridden one but it’s the bike I like from HD.
I road a heritage classic on the whole of Route 66 two years ago , all fantastic , so comfy, enough power , except the brakes are just not up to it with the weight of the bike. In America with their huge long roads it didn’t miss a beat but with such tight twists , room etc in the uk environment, I’m sure I would not enjoy it as much. Me and my mate were really sorry to hand them back after 2600 miles of sunshine riding. Very expensive just to take out in the sunshine.
Good video as per TMF. That’s nice, I like that 👌 Just a little note, the ‘wait here’ sign is used in a similar way to a solid white line. You’re fine to filter (if safe) up to the sign as long as you’re still behind it of course. Richard
Had a Tiger 800 for 9 years , loved it , no problems, waited for the 900 but after the test ride preferred the 800 triple over the 900 so bought the last 800XRX in the country , happy days. If I wanted a twin I would have bought one , but I prefer the silky 800 over the grunty 900
Another great review. Having been a bit a bit underwhelmed by my 2017 Africa Twin, my last foray into the world of big adventure tourers, I must admit this looks a great bike and pretty good value, considering the spec and cost of one or two similar bikes.
TMF, great video. That quick shifter sounds like a hoot. While you have the bike, could you try it on some twisties, the motorway and well-maintained unpaved country lanes? I think this GT could do all three very well.
I'm absolutely staggered at the cost of that bike, with that spec as well! A triple, all that equipment, lighter than the older models, looks like the Tiger is ready to pounce again. Brilliant stuff! Perfect morning viewing if you ask me haha 😁👍
I will be waiting for your continued review of the bike. I currently have the '18 Street Triple 765R and hope to add another bike to the stable within the next year.
I liked this review and look forward to your follow ups. I was hoping to have bought one this year but the pandemic has delayed that till next year.Have a Bonneville at the moment owned for 6 years 17,000 miles without issue so obviously not a Friday afternoon bike. Only criticism which a lot seem to express are the colours surely not to difficult to offer more options. Looks like Black it will be.
I’ve been trying to understand why Triumph have gone back to the old style mirrors on a completely revamped bike. I had those style of mirrors on my Tiger Explorer and swapped them out for the newer style as they were constantly undoing themselves on the second joint.
G'day from the land down under. I've gone from a 2016 Triumph Explorer 1200 XCA to 2020 Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro (black) recently. It's the best decision for my 64 year old body (mainly due to a heavy bike issue). This is a brilliant Triumph! 👍😁
Very small detail between the 900GT over the F750GS: The Triumph has bosses for paddock stand bobbins. This is especially important if you get the lowered versions, because they don't have center stands.
Another excellent video, many thanks. Nice bike too, one that shorter people like us can reach the ground easily on and more importantly, having a comfortable seat for a change !!!.
Great video. I've taken this bike for a test ride back to back with a Ducati Multistrada 950 S and the BMW F900XR. I eliminated the F800XR right away because I didn't like it much. I really enjoyed the Tiger GT Pro. I think it has the best quick shifter in the market and the standard heated seats and grips are awesome. The Ducati definitely looks better and comes with the spoked wheels and it is actually a cheaper bike in the US at the moment ($3,500 cheaper). I watched your very positive review of the Multi 950. How would you compare those two bikes and which one would you pick if price is not a factor. Your help is appreciated.
I'm also looking at those two bikes. I've got a Multi 950 now (non S). I'll take the Tiger GT Pro out for a spin in the next couple of days. However, the only dealer here doesn't have any 950s in stock at all, let alone a test bike. Also looking at the S1000XR (test ride tomorrow) but I'm not expecting to be figuratively blown away. The Tiger's colours and graphics look quite poor though, but so are the BMWs in my opinion.
Excellent review as usual young Sir. The pillion grab rails are a huge improvement compared to the bulbous and ugly ones on the old model plus the top box rack is also an improvement.
Recently rode one when my 2019 Tiger 1050 sport was in for service after lock down. I was very surprised with the performance of the engine. Having not ridden the 800 I wasn't comparing it. It was light and very responsive. May a strange noise at idle and low revs but sung once it was revved. Enjoyed the heated grips and the quick shifter. Plus no need for brakes as engine braking is amazing. However when I got back on the 1050 sport I realised how much smoother the engine is in normal firing order and the road handling was far superior. For general ROAD riding which is what the majority do in this country and the GT Pro targeted for; the 1050 is so much better if you can sort the buffering off the screen. You'll also be harder on the brakes as the 1050 doesn't match the engine braking of the 900, but you'll quickly adjust. Yes it won't go off road but who really does. Also discovered recently that whoever invented a single rear swing arm should be knighted as changing a tyre was a doddle. Good review. I bought the 1050 on your recommendation and very happy ( still fiddling with the screen though )
@@TheMissendenFlyer oh yes. Currently on my 3rd screen with not much luck. However 1/4" tap washers seem to be working the best. Increasing the rake by placing the washers under the standard screen has improved the buffering. Need to get a longer bolt though to put on a couple more. Still noisy but no itchy nose. The issue is I have a tall seating position as I'm 6ft but short legged. Lol. I've thought of the lower seat option but tap washers are sooooo much cheaper.
Looks a nice bike looking forward to the long term review, just an observation but try adding what your inseam leg size is rather than you’re 5’8” not everyone has the same body and leg measurements. This would be a lot more accurate sizing for all I think. Great vid keep up the good work.
Sold my 2019 GSA 1250 and bought a 2020 tiger rally pro, no issues with the BMW have had several of them ....I basically sat on a tiger, riding position was perfect for my 5’10” height and said I’m in...I would summarize the tiger as just really fun to ride and has more of giggle factor than the BMW....Also for the first time ever I sold my BMW bought a new triumph and put $8k in my bank account, first time ever that’s happened ! :)
Would have upgraded my 2016 Tiger 800 XRX but loath the asymmetric headlights... Why do they do it? Every time I see a twin headlight bike with only one illuminated I think ‘bulbs blown’.
I'm so happy this is available. I had my eye on a 2018 Tiger 800 XRT, and I'm assuming with all the great reviews this new 900 is getting the leftover 800s should be getting discounted. I'm sure the new 900 is a fantastic bike, but a two year old, top of the line 800 will do for me, especially if the price is a few thousand below the 2018 price.
One thing I didn't see mentioned was the heat on your left leg, I test road a carry over 2019 xrt 800 and loved it except for all the heat coming off the radiator on your left leg. How is the heat coming off the radiator on the gt pro 900? Is it more balanced with the dual radiator setup? The xrt 800 is $14,600 OTD and the gt pro 900 is $16,900 OTD here in Montana USA.
Great review, my father is considering buying one so this is a great review! Can you also make a new review of the Ducati 821 because i'm thinking to go for that bike....🙌😋
I rode the Tiger 900 Rally Pro. I was amazed how confortable it is, handles fantastic and brakes, wow. Solid bike in every way. It didn't have the power that my 2019 Tracer 900GT has, yet I was fine with that. If it wasn't for the extreme amount of heat directly on my knees, I would have traded my bike on the spot.
95bhp is more than enough with a lightweight bike. Enough torque at the rpm’s you mostly ride in is more important. I like my eyes and ears out of the wind and resonance. It sounds like my old Suzuki V-strom 650. This bike is definitely on my list when I would need another bike. Next to the Suzuki V-strom 1050, Kawasaki Versys 1000.
You might want to experiment a test recording with your microphone raised up a bit from the current position to significantly reduce the 'poofing' sound which sometimes is harsh in this video. Thx for the comprehensive review as usual.
Thinking of "downgrading" my Explorer 1200 to the new Tiger 900 as I'm not a tall bloke by any means, I think it just makes more sense. Loving it by watching videos, I'll try to test ride soon.
Waiting v patiently for my new GT pro .... agree with all you said - brilliant bike, cannot wait to get it. Thanks for your excellent review and await your good, and bad points !
You'll have a garage full of Triumphs only soon the way your going ! Does look like a great contender , I'm considering an adventure bike next and will definitely have a test ride on the trumpet Great video Best regards Shaun .
This is the review I’ve been waiting for! I’m actually scared to test ride one because I know I’d want to chop in my trusty 800. The mirrors are a backwards step though, and although I would personally choose black anyway the colour schemes are boring. Ironic considering the great paint jobs Triumph have done in the past! Also disappointing that the service intervals are still 6000 miles when many rivals are longer.
I’d been waiting for your review of the Tiger 900, but when showrooms reopened I couldn’t resist a test-ride. The difference between this and my 2017 800 XRT was night and day. I was that smitten I gave up on my shortlist and bought it!! I concur with everything you said, and I’m happy it seems to have your endorsement! Loving the new engine sound, low down grunt and handling over previous. I have to say I’m having issues with the connectivity side of things and I’ve given up on it for now, but other than that I love the new (white) bike. Green is definitely the best colour, but didn’t want to compromise the road handling by going for the Rally.
Lovely vid, I get the impression you like this machine. It took a long while to hot the streets (vid). Virus probs? Still could do with a HUD. I think I will invent one!
Thing with smaller engine bikes on tour, I find them a bit buzzy. You have to really wind them up to get the touring speeds on the motorways etc. The 1200's we use chug along at 2.5-3k revs when cruising, how was the 900 at cruising on motorways vibration wise?
Hi now that you have tested all three bikes im interested in what one would you get out of the Triumph Tiger 900 GT pro, Kawasaki 1000 SX Ninja and the BMW R1250RS. Usage is mainly commuting and weekend days out. Thanks in advance.
Hey TMF! That's a good looking machine, well done for bagging that for a few days! Love the engine note and fabulous TFT. Triumph have really nailed this bike I think. Will be interesting to see how many GS's get looked over for this in the next few years. Have a good one! Cheers.
First up, loving your videos. High quality. What's your perspective on the new engine and the slight increase to vibrations? Have watched a lot of reviews and most experienced riders, such as yourself, seem to take the view that it is still pretty smooth even with the update to gain more torque and traction.
I took one out for test ride before lockdown and got a lot of wind noice/bufeting and realised the side wind deflectors were misssing and sales man said they were waiting for thwm to come and be fited ?,off topic a bit but i see you were wearing a dane jacket, any thoughts or video coming for that ?,i have been riding with dane clothing for 3 years now and think its great.
I haven't used the new jacket in winter yet, but once I get some proper use out of it I will do a review....initial thoughts are it's a brilliant jacket, expensive but you tend to get what you pay for!
In your opinion, how does this go up against the likes of BMW F 850 GS, KTM 790 ADVENTURE, and the new Honda Africa Twin. Also, which one would you choose among these ?
Amazing coincidence, I just got back from a tiger 900 test ride and you've got a video on the GT, I'm going for the GT, it meets my needs.
The Triumph Tiger 900 GT PRO is currently the best motorcycle out there.

Just bought one of these beauties - it eats up the Sydney roads and potholes - absolutely love it!
Love your reviews, unfortunately it's only yours and Fortnine's bike reviews we can actually trust. Lovely and refreshing as always though :)
I appreciate that!
TheMissendenFlyer You’re very welcome! Any other tip-offs of unbiased reviewers I haven’t had the good fortune of stumbling across yet?
Cheers TMF! What a great sound she's got! The way bikes are changing us bikers will need a pilot license soon...great review as always!
The thought of you "fiddling with it" in your garage, has much restored my good humour, after being suicidal from viewing the Fillingham!
I couldn't possibly comment......
Congratulations!
I traded my RT for a GT PRO a year ago and am loving it. I just finished a 3600 mile loop on the CA coast and Southwest USA…effortless…beautiful handling.
Great to hear!
Another great first impression. I have a 18 XRT and I love comfort features like heated grips, seats and cruise control. Thanks Andy.
Absolutely stoked for these. I've got almost 3 years of restriction ride out because australia, but man when i get that full license there should be a few used ones of these coming up - silver linings!
Thanks for the review - testing one on Thursday!
Have fun!
As always, an INCREDIBLE review TMF! 😍
I appreciate that Gar - thanks....
Hi Andy,
after being smitten by the good looks, watching the reviews and reading the specs for this 900 GT Pro, I was convinced that this was to be my next bike.
Thank you Brad - the 800 was a great bike, the 900 is even better!!
12.56 thought my speakers went funny 🤣
Nice bike and great review 👍thanks
Good improvement over the 800 tiger by the looks of it, can’t wait for the next videos you do on this bike and your final thoughts 👍
Loads more to come Simon!
I do like how it sounds and even how it looks, even in the white. Nice standard features like the heated seats etc, although be better as you say if they remained on unless draining battery.
If they sold it in that grey you can get the Street Triple RS in, I’d be tempted to upgrade immediately from my Tiger 800
Great review been waiting for this one. I test road the gt pro whilst my speed rs was in for service work. Loved the sound and grunty feel compared to the older 800. Defo will consider one of these at some point. I’ll need to try the rally though too.
This is the one I’ve been waiting for TMF, want one, need one. Another great vid, take care.
Right on
Now that could tempt me to buy a new bike. Good price for the high spec and I think it looks great in the white colour. Look forward to the continuing reviews.
Great review again TMF, always look forward to your very balanced views, especially as I'm a short arse as well.
Oh dear! Sorry to hear that...I have two modern Triumphs and have only ever had a good experience with them...(thus far!)
Sounds like you got a Friday afternoon bike Russ....
@@TheMissendenFlyer 😂 😂 😂 😂 like that saying 😂
Plus one.
Top review. Agree that the colours are bland ☹️ & the tft doesn’t have a circular rev counter 😢, guess I’ll keep my 2017 r1200gs for a bit longer until both Triumph & BMW sort their colour schemes out.
TMF. A very good informative video. It's the 100cc's we always wanted!!
Great review thanks. This bike Just launched here in Brazil surprisingly cheap at ten grand u.s. in this scorching heat the last one overheated a bit. Let's see how this one behaves
What beautiful countryside you have the privilege of riding around in. The walkaround was just stunning.
Placed an order for the 2021 in red today. Looking forward to get crackin on this crackin bike!
Absolutely great review Mr TMF! Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it
Took the 900 pro on test run last week and loved it. All the reviews are praising it. Looks like it’s time to trade in the v-strom for a tiger.
Yes nice upgrade....
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Ténéré 700
Yes I like the look and sound of them I must admit....it’ll happen one day!
Thanks for the video, i was hoping for one about the 900 GT PRO. saving money to get one :)
Good video as per TMF. That’s nice, I like that 👌
Just a little note, the ‘wait here’ sign is used in a similar way to a solid white line. You’re fine to filter (if safe) up to the sign as long as you’re still behind it of course.
Richard
Thanks for the info!
Looking forward to as many Tiger 900 videos as you can pump out!
Lots more to come, stay tuned!
Fair enough...
Another great review. Having been a bit a bit underwhelmed by my 2017 Africa Twin, my last foray into the world of big adventure tourers, I must admit this looks a great bike and pretty good value, considering the spec and cost of one or two similar bikes.
Yes Triumph are on to a winner with this I reckon....one of my current favourite bikes.
Cheers LIKWID - always appreciate your kind words....
@@TheMissendenFlyer not a problem at all sir! Always a pleasure 😁
Well observed!
Glad I’m not the only one to notice that. The ‘18 on mirrors looked quite nice, maybe they had a job lot of the old style mirrors to use up!
I shall definitely get a test ride now the dealers are open. I haven't heard you so enthusiastic over a bike for a long while🙂
Nope I haven't been, this one is a gem....
Great review as usual TMF, I cant believe you missed the no entry sign use the next entrance when you parked up gor the walkaround 😂
Oops!! Well spotted.....
I concur!
@@TheMissendenFlyer Do you think it's about the same as the BMW F750GS? BMW lists wet weight, and Triumph lists dry, that's why I'm asking.

Very true!
Another great vlog, welldone fella
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you Dennis!
Ordered mine in Paris yesterday. Delivering mid January ;-)
I prefer the looks and road presence of the multi but I prefer the lightness of the Triumph....difficult choice....
Great review sir triumph definitely on the radar similar Wright to the Honda’s the wife and I have nice low seat height and heated how great is that !
Great review and another new channel for my list! How tall are you buddy?
I’m 5”8’ ….and welcome along!
Excellent review as usual young Sir. The pillion grab rails are a huge improvement compared to the bulbous and ugly ones on the old model plus the top box rack is also an improvement.
I'm liking "young sir"
I sent you an email with suggestions for a future video....
Is it better than the BMW F900XR on motorways or as a tourer, am not discussing offroading.Purely as a highway tourer which amongst the two is better?
Good first look TMF. I really like the GT model
What is its weight carrying load limits? Unable to find this one bit of information. I would like to ride with luggage and pillion.
1-3-2 firing order..., OK. But how are the crank throws arranged? Vibration at 75 mph?
Have you tried the MRA varioscreen? Worked on my Tiger 1050...
Nice vid TMF!
Looks a nice bike looking forward to the long term review, just an observation but try adding what your inseam leg size is rather than you’re 5’8” not everyone has the same body and leg measurements. This would be a lot more accurate sizing for all I think. Great vid keep up the good work.
Thanks for the tip!
Nice one!
Would have upgraded my 2016 Tiger 800 XRX but loath the asymmetric headlights... Why do they do it? Every time I see a twin headlight bike with only one illuminated I think ‘bulbs blown’.
Yes that's one of my bugbears too - didn't realise the Tiger 900 did that!
Great vlog btw. 👍👍👍
Ahh, still has the heat issue. Not very practical if you live in a tropical climate. I'll stick with my Tracer GT.
@@Pomoz7 yes, exactly the problem here in southern Thailand. I'm hopeful that a aftermarket heat deflector will be available soon
Totally agree
You might want to experiment a test recording with your microphone raised up a bit from the current position to significantly reduce the 'poofing' sound which sometimes is harsh in this video. Thx for the comprehensive review as usual.
It gets better!!
@@TheMissendenFlyer respect sir 🙏🏽🔥🤙🏼
Just a POV of a P. Sound Engineer (and a sound freak) Biker ;)
Thinking of "downgrading" my Explorer 1200 to the new Tiger 900 as I'm not a tall bloke by any means, I think it just makes more sense. Loving it by watching videos, I'll try to test ride soon.
Makes complete sense! ...I consider it a great upgrade in fact!
Waiting v patiently for my new GT pro .... agree with all you said - brilliant bike, cannot wait to get it. Thanks for your excellent review and await your good, and bad points !
You'll have a garage full of Triumphs only soon the way your going !
Does look like a great contender , I'm considering an adventure bike next and will definitely have a test ride on the trumpet
Great video
Best regards Shaun .
So I’m looking at purchasing a GT Pro 2021 plate. Are you still of the same view about this bike years on from your review? Thanks
Pretty much - though the fork dive is annoying and it’s not so great 2 up (see my current Japan tour for details)….
Yes agreed all round...great bikes these though none the less.
How is this bike compared to a Ducati Multidtrada 950 S?
Excellent review.
Nice one Andy....
Smooooth
Hi now that you have tested all three bikes im interested in what one would you get out of the Triumph Tiger 900 GT pro, Kawasaki 1000 SX Ninja and the BMW R1250RS. Usage is mainly commuting and weekend days out. Thanks in advance.
Stay tuned! ;0) next vid is for you...
Awesome review! Can you by chance do a ride review on the KTM 790 Adventure S? That would be a very much useful bit of information.
I’ll be getting one of those to try later in the year....
@@TheMissendenFlyer Thank you Sir!
Hey TMF! That's a good looking machine, well done for bagging that for a few days! Love the engine note and fabulous TFT. Triumph have really nailed this bike I think. Will be interesting to see how many GS's get looked over for this in the next few years.
Have a good one! Cheers.
Cheers Simon - die COVID I actually got to keep the bike for over 2 months! Great machine....
First up, loving your videos. High quality. What's your perspective on the new engine and the slight increase to vibrations? Have watched a lot of reviews and most experienced riders, such as yourself, seem to take the view that it is still pretty smooth even with the update to gain more torque and traction.
Correct - I found it a great unit, like this bike s lot...
@@TheMissendenFlyer thanks for the quick response. Given how many different bikes you have tested, iput a lot of stock in your opinion. Appreciated
Would it be possible to upgrade the basic 900 with speed shifter, cruise, heated grips, etc... after purchase?
The basic 900 has now been replaced by the 850....
It's by far my favourite of that bunch.....
I'm looking at purchasing an adv bike next year. How does this bike stack up a Ducati Multistrada 950 S as far as value and comfort?
Very well!
