    Great numbers, PERIOD. Love that color, and you can't go wrong with RPF-1's. I've never seen a car that they don't look the part on honestly. Those PCV's are junk to begin with so good call on swapping that thing outta there. Nice thing is the owner can sell the IS-38 to recoup some money, to someone who wants to upgrade their stock compressor. There is a reason Autotech is one of the original vendors from back in the day, still going strong, and they make a good product. The fault wasn't on their end, frankly it could've happened to anybody. Just proof positive how important cleanliness is when working on fuel systems, (especially D.I. cars,) and internal engine parts. BFI FTW. Another fantastic tuner who develops their parts based on real world experience on track.

    I totally feel your pain with the gas situation in Nova Scotia. My RS3 was pulling -6 degrees timing all the way to red line on the stock tune. I've manage to pull clean logs with Unitronic st1 tune now with about ~10% ethanol blend every fill........however this means I have to live with a 55 gallon drum of ethanol in my garage. Shell is starting to roll out 91 e10 and 93 e10 out west, so maybe theres hope for us all.

    • @COMotorsports

      Same deal, recently had a TTRS on the rollers even with stock tune it was hating our fuel. Ethanol will definitely help, but it's not that practical for most around here so we're doing a proper WM setup.

    I'm curious as to how the Vortex XL is getting full torque around 3500 rpm while a couple months ago, the R with the standard Vortex took until 3750 to reach full torque?

    • @COMotorsports

      No the XL is about 4-500rpm lazier when comparing 4th gear to 4th gear.

    • @dirk5950
      @dirk5950 2 года назад

      It was intentional. if you look at the baseline on the STD Vortex at 15:25 in the other video you will see it made 320WTQ at 3000rpm. The XL here is making 280WTQ at 3000rpm.

    • @COMotorsports
      @COMotorsports  2 года назад +3

      @@dirk5950 not sure what you mean by "it was intentional". I'll try and clarify, when comparing 5th gear XL runs it spools the same compared to the STD runs which were done in 4th gear. The increased load on engine in 5th helps it spool and is the same reason why it makes way more torque in those runs. I looked this evening, when comparing the dyno runs between the STD and XL, both in 4th gear the XL spools 4-500rpm later.
