For that amount of money it’s so worth it. Even if you include an exhaust and intercooler plus the mods for a hybrid you’re looking at $7k-$8k for a car that will make over 500 to the wheels
Imo I would go XL. The standard is perfect for fast spool and 500ish hp but for only $100 more you get a turbo capable of more power that still spoils quickly. I LOVE how the xl feels tbh

The DQ500 is probably the main thing you’re missing out on going with an S3. But the value proposition is incredible on the S3 MQB platform.

The power you get for the money makes it easily worth it. A lot of power to be had in a proven platform on an unopened engine. Hard to beat

At this time no I don’t find it necessary as the car isn’t driven hard all the time and doesn’t consistently see redline since I don’t autox
