  • This MK7.5 is back for some upgrades. We removed the DBV2 and installed the new Garrett Pmax S2 turbo. We did a custom tune with EQT and even on our trashy 91oct it didn't disappoint.
    This one will be back no doubt when we turn it up with some good fuel (Ethanol).

    So the compressor surge is real. You can clearly hear a bit

    • @COMotorsports
      @COMotorsports  2 года назад +1

      Yep, it's there for about 1k. This is around 32-33psi. We need the boost as timing has to be very conservative on this fuel.

    • @Zharsergey
      @Zharsergey 2 года назад

      @@COMotorsports If you would want to get rid of the surge, would have to drop the boost a bit in that rpm range?

    • @COMotorsports
      @COMotorsports  2 года назад +1

      @@Zharsergey yes, but the boost is only fluctuating like .5 psi during that range so it's not noticeable in the power delivery or driveability. Higher boost in that range and it would be more noticeable for sure.

    Anyone try the apr dtr kit with mpi/high and low pumps? Im on a full apr/Ei stage 2 build, ohlins and a ton of other goodies. Next step would be turbo and fuel. Going e85, was hoping for 450whp but i dunno if thats to high of an expectation?

    • @COMotorsports
      @COMotorsports  Год назад +1

      The turbos good for about 450ishwhp. APR just posted one that made 45xwhp. Expect fueling mods etc to get there.

    • @andrewcampbell9136

      @@COMotorsports thanks for the reply, i got all the usual stage 2 stuff intercooler, intake, turbo back exhaust, hi flow boost hoses, throttle pipe, tubo inlet and outlet pipe, coil backs blah blah. So when APR says 495 crank power without those other supporting mods i figured something in the 550 crank / 450whp would be achievable. Hopefully.... im gonna rock the full DTR/MPI/HI/LOW fuel pumps. Ill post a video when its done
