Hi thank you so much for being here!! To thaw our raw milk, I first sit in in some water in a bowl in our fridge. This slowly allow the temp to change without shocking the jars. I do this about 4 hours. Then I’ll move it to room temp in that same bowl of water if I need it pretty quickly to thaw. Or the best way is to leave it in fridge in bowl of water to very slowly thaw! If I have time,I do it this way! Raw milk technically does not go “bad” it’s the cream that goes kind of sour and makes the taste a bit off. So I skim cream to make it last longer in fridge (10-12 days) If cream is left in milk, it is good for about 7-10 Just our personal taste preferences for when it tastes best! Once thawed I follow the same length of time in fridge- usually about a week but it never really lasts that long around here! 😂

what kind of latch is on the side of your upright freezer? Did you install it yourself?
