I thought I was the only person with a freezer in a mess lol...I have the half size chest freezer & have tried milk crates..only 2 fit then to tall to layer them..ugh ! So I went & bought plastic baskets..they worked for a while but get brittle & break...I will be checking this system out to solve my messy freezer ! We had a small chest freezer quit working about 5 yrs ago so instead of hauling it off for scrap we put it in our garage to store pet food...mice or anything else cant get in it & works perfectly !!!
When we cleaned our big freezer we put pans with boiling water in it and closed it. In no time it would would have the ice off. Scoop out the ice, add some soap and scrub!
Anyway it happens is what works! 🙏❤️🙏❤️☮️
Yes Jenny that is the quickest way to do it. Plus should use baking soda water to clean the gasket.

Also my dad use to put wax on the top of the lid. It made it really easy to wipe off and keep clean.
My parents use milk crates in all of their freezers. Works 👍 👌

I am curious about this system but I worry about the adhesive coming off after a while. I think I will check back with you in 6 months and see how it is going. You must have the patience of a saint lol.

Good reminder for me to clean out my freezer before my next trip to Sam’s. Unfortunately I only have a tiny freezer as it is only me. I am thinking it was Everett with the stick of butter. Looks good.

This is not our meat freezer. I will show that in a future video. Plus, I will can a bunch of this meat once I know we have a moose.

Hey Lauren. Thanks for sharing this video. My Hubby, Mark, even sat down with me to watch. I kept having to pause when he wanted a closer look at what you were doing. Interesting system. We have 3 freezers too: the smallest connected to our fridge, an upright and a chest freezer... smaller than yours, but still in desperate need of organization... bonus: we don't have the issue with the compressor that you have. Mark said he's going to look into the company and it's products, and see if they have something that'll work for us. Again, thank you.

Looking at your storage shelves, I would advise you to add a couple removable bars across the front of each shelf about half way up, so that if/when an earthquake hits you don’t lose all your stuff... we live in Oregon and have done that in case we get one

Wow ! That system and freezer look amazing . Makes me wanna buy a chest freezer just so I can buy the system and use it . But I doubt they have it here in the U.K .
Watching you clean the freezer made me laugh. I cleaned mine as well last week….but mine was an apartment freezer and when it was empty I just pulled it outside and let the heat do its job. I live in Southern Ontario and I think it was in the mid 90’s that day.

I inventoried my little chest freezer a while back but forgot to write down expiration dates. 🤦♀️ Had to go back in yesterday and write down dates and put the longest expiration dates on the bottom.

Your freezer isn't level.
That and being in your garage with our temperatures will cause the icing but is also harder on the unit.
Now full, won't be easy but you can still level full as the feet should spin.
Interesting organizational option.

i use a wallpaper scraper and a spray bottle of really hot water when defrosting my freezer i spray the water to create a gap behind large chunks of ice the use the scraper in behind to lift the ice and break it away cuts the time down loads, the hairdryer is a great idea im definitely going to try it looks brilliant when its done

I started watching your videos because I shop at your Costco and it was nice to see what they had before we went. you should get a Lil 5 cut frezzer for your folks n te them put your stuff in here til u come home lol. I bought my cheast freezer in 1996 n has metal baskets n still working but I did bought an upright n good lord will it will be del on or around 10/25 bought it 3 mon ago still waiting. tired of digging in cheast but will still keep n use til it dies surprised you guys don't have more freezers

You're actually making chest freezers not bad to consider. I'd still prefer a stand freezer over a chest freezer (I'd only buy a chest freezer if I found one for a great deal, or free) but I am glad that there is a solution to not getting your food lost in the deep abyss never to be seen from again.
