I love the idea of a mid drive e bike with the battery and controller on your son's bike but in the larger bike frame an as I travel a large distance a lot of times to and from my hunting spots a 49 cc gas engine with a jack shaft add to it for both power and speed would be perfect for me. Can a bike be built that has those features be built with a 49cc 4 stroke engine that will haul a bigger person such as my self at 5 foot 10 inches tall and weighing around 240 lbs and pulling a lite weight game trailor forvhunting?

Possibly. You would have to check the maximum capacity of whatever bike you choose to modify, then do the math of your weight plus the engine. It sounds like a fun project. Good luck with it and let me know how it turns out.

I have been following ( Subscribed) you for about a week . Your Vids and Info are Great and well researched ! I have a few questions on the Black Bike. I saw the links for sourcing parts to build one of these. Which battery pack did you choose & any idea ( estimate) how many miles it will go on a charge ? Did the power rear Hub fit the bike with the stock Tire supplied with the bike ? Showed your Vid to my wife & she Green Lighted me to build us a couple . Thanks Craig

First, thank you for subscribing and the compliment. In the description, I list the parts in order. First the bike, then the kit, and third the battery used for that bike and kit. What you see in the video is the exact parts I used that I linked in the description. As far as the charge goes, I haven’t ran one until it died I generally charge it after every use. My kids and nephews, however would ride my first bike all over town over the corse of a week. I would say road driving at full speed probably around 30 to 40 minutes or approximately 20 miles. In the woods it’s tough to go full throttle so half the power twice the distance and time. When I use the cart to haul equipment or deer I would say it cuts the run time by about 1/3. So probably 20 to 30 minutes under full power. But being in the woods you don’t usually go full power the entire time. Hopefully that helps if not let me know and I can do a video to try and better provide the information.
Thanks again for watching and have a good one.
