I really miss Team battle. was always a more fair event playing agaisnt my non-tekken head friends becasue i only know 2characters really well and the rest.was fair game in terms of who was gonna win. ALso being able to play a tekken team battle online would be so unreal. imagine picking your 4 best or even 8 best/favouriter characters. I would defintely be more interested in a team ranked system than the solo character ranked system thats in the game atm
It's really meant as a pressure tool. If b+4 were jab punishable then this would probably all make sense together but since it's safe you can run people down with no risk to yourself. No matter what they do, they can't stop you directly unless you do something clumsy afterwards (being at -8). So they lie on the ground, they get flipped and are in a bad oki. They try to stand up they get hit (probably in the back) and it has a wide hitbox. They try to wake up kick they get CH'd. They actually respond properly they block the move but it can't be punished. It covers all scenarios and the Devil Jin player is never exposed. Plus the interval between when you regain control after the u/f+4 and when Devil Jin is in range is extremely short, meaning you have to be able to respond on reaction.

Omar Gholam ouch, i was yaksa/ryujin most of the season so its mid level i guess. But yeah now that you mention it kazuya doesnt have any good escape moves. I just never noticed since i always defended against him. Either way i would rather fight dj over kazuya every day but maybe its just a matchup thing.
Just some things I experimented with the new hellsweep damage buff. It is actually decent as a combo ender which spikes the opponent on the floor and gives good oki if they do not quick back roll. Ewgf, ff4, ff3, 1, 1, dash, cd4, 4 gives 70 damage, 2 less than ending with b2, 1uf in infinite stages. It can also be used as the hellsweep combo for 2 less damage than b2, 1uf in infinite stages. Alternatively, it can be used in floor break stages if for some reason you want to consume 1 less hit by not using b2, 1uf, same thing, 2 less damage.
Diablo Jin is the most frustrating to fight. You have to guess a mid that deals 80% of your health or a low that deals 60%. This shits not fun, Id rather fight Kaz anytime
so i know i will probably get some hate on this but some of these buffs i do agress with the d+b 2 was alwayd weird when you got a counter hit cause you really couldn't do anything with it except for a last hit or just to break momentum. Also a big thing he doesn't touch on is dvj is very execution heavy if you are not a wave dash pro and perfect electric you are not able to fully use his kit and his combo dmg last season was low he would do a 8 to 10 hit combo for like 60 to 70 dmg and ppl like bryan, paul, heiachi, kazuya and jin would get the same or better dmg with like 4 to 5 hit combos. So all these buffs are for ppl who are mid to low skill level with dvj yeah i can see in pro level this will just wreck high level gameplay, but at high level i think those players have indepth game knowledge so they are more aware how to punish and have high execution
I mean I'd rather have someone who is probably the protagonist of the mainline story be the God tier character over a guest character from a 2D game so I don't really see him buffed that big an issue, and again his execution demands are quite high, so there is a bit of balance in effort to reward ratio.
Oh i forgot don't forget that season 4 kazuya d1+2 is buff huge on hit +3 and their ass are on the ground and have high crush properties and the best part of it is u can also react and cancel the move and u can do big boy combo as well on counter hit.

And Devil Jin will be no where to be seen except qudans and maybe Knee when he feels like it. So do not worry, no one is going to pick up this hard asf character to play. There are many easier to use characters that are straight monsters. He is still too hard against others for similiar results. But still he is monster on his own, don't get it twisted, he is top tier. infact, if you are in the know, why struggle to master devil jin, Just play easy mode God Bob, he is a mishima with more tools and less execution required lol.

It is not even as good as it was before. Only 100% follow up when the enemy is close. At max range you dont get anything 100%. Enemy can just backroll away.
Imagine unnecessary nerfing Jin but making Murray's Diablo Jim a god without a good reason other than not understanding balance. In S3 I decided to switch from Miguel to Jin but after Leroy I completely lost interest. Now they screwed him up and made Diablo el easy mode. Thanks =/
So bf2,3 as u said is a great move for DJ as a second main DJ player i can said that this will change a lot his neutral because df2,1 use not to get a huge damage from it but this new move df2,3 will hurt a little bit and if they don't quick back roll b4 is guarantee it's a hit conformable move because as u said ff4 is a high and f1+2 is slow all DJ players use bf2,1 to lockdown sidestepping and now bf2,3 great damage..
I can't wait until offline tournaments start up again, so that people can tell their T.O's they were knocked out of bracket from Devil Jin's counter hit db2 into rage art.
Make sure the 2 electrics are done as fast as you can. Then IMMEDIATELY do ff4 after you know you've recovered from the last EWGF. It takes quite a bit of practice, and it's generally considered not safe for online, but great if you can perfect it.
Also, you have to note that the ff4 might not connect if your first electric connects at tip range or at certain off axis. Therefore in most situations, you might still want to go for the standard staple.
Also I have noticed that its not entirely about doing two fastest ewgfs. You can actually do the come with 2 regular wgfs. Its hard but the key I found is the timing of your ff4 after the last ewgf, its got to be an instant buffer. But doing two immediate ewgfs will make it easier. Nonetheless like Zack Ong said, it can be inconsistent on certain axis, so its definitely not my staple bnb

The issue with the u/f4 now is that the b4 can be tech rolled out of . That wasn't the case in seasons 1 and 2
And the range varies depending on the angle and range of the hit. Sometimes it can send them just as far as s3 uf4

There are many easier to use characters that are straight monsters. He is still too hard against others for similiar results. But still he is monster on his own, don't get it twisted, he is top tier.

@@lastburning oh yeah becaue top level tournaments are overun with devil jin like Leroy, Fak, Geese, steve. etc. LOL you won't even see him in a tourney till qudans. Even in Pakistan, where there are sick Devil Jins, they won't rise above the others. Same story, Devil Jin gets buffed, main main stans cry and nothing hapens with the game meta. Maybe if he was good and easy enough to use so that he could affect the meta game. But there is always super sick characters that are way easier. why risk fucking up with devil Jin when you could be perfect with Bob? Only Devil Jins that play in tournerys are mains who actually like the character. And only qudans and knee have shown they can even compete at a high level with him as well lol.

Devil Jin is S tier definitely but too hard to be consistent with at high level. So he will not see any increase in players. its jus the same people who have always been sick with him. Hey can you look into this t7s4 glitch....my rank has reset twice....s4 day1 my ranl reset from tgp to emperor, today i log on and recieve and error message...then immediately after my ranl gets switched from emperor to mighty ruler...no im fearful of turning on the game and getring the same error and reset again
The first one wasn't a glitch, it happened to everybody. The second one tho, i'm not sure about how that happened.

It is not even as good as it was before. Only 100% follow up when the enemy is close. At max range you dont get anything 100%. Enemy can just backroll away.

So bf2,3 as u said is a great move for DJ as a second main DJ player i can said that this will change a lot his neutral because df2,1 use not to get a huge damage from it but this new move df2,3 will hurt a little bit and if they don't quick back roll b4 is guarantee it's a hit conformable move because as u said ff4 is a high and f1+2 is slow all DJ players use bf2,1 to lockdown sidestepping and now bf2,3 great damage..

Make sure the 2 electrics are done as fast as you can. Then IMMEDIATELY do ff4 after you know you've recovered from the last EWGF.
It takes quite a bit of practice, and it's generally considered not safe for online, but great if you can perfect it.
Also, you have to note that the ff4 might not connect if your first electric connects at tip range or at certain off axis. Therefore in most situations, you might still want to go for the standard staple.
Also I have noticed that its not entirely about doing two fastest ewgfs. You can actually do the come with 2 regular wgfs. Its hard but the key I found is the timing of your ff4 after the last ewgf, its got to be an instant buffer. But doing two immediate ewgfs will make it easier. Nonetheless like Zack Ong said, it can be inconsistent on certain axis, so its definitely not my staple bnb
