So much detail and insight on performance is discussed here. An inspiring interview!

First Violin Maxine Kwok-Adams chats to tonight's soloist Nikolaj Znaider about the piece he'll be playing, the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto. Some handy tips in here about which bits you should really work on if you're going to play it in an audition!

Very interesting. And we must keep in touch with our natural instincts along with our taste.

Very interesting comments about Heifetz here and all very true.

It's unfortunate that Heifetz never recorded Paganini or Shostakovich or Saint Saens or Barber or Vivaldi or Tartini or Stravinsky or Dvorak or Schumann and God knows who else.....

This interview makes me sad :D Why did Mr. Snaider switch to Bruch for tomorrow?? :(
I'm still excited and i love Bruch! But also i really wanted to hear his performance of Tschaikowski!
