this encore is insane, how does the guy bust out a 40min virtuosic concerto and still have the CRAZY bow control for recuerdos de alhambra 😩

Hadelich shows how this should be played!

The encore was a gem. I've played this piece countless times on the guitar, and hearing it on the violin was bizarre and beautiful (and it's probably ten times more difficult to play on violin).

Obviously Hadelich is the best but most pleasing were the principal woodwinds players exercising their expressions of pleasure playing their parts, particularly Clarinet, oboe, and bassoon. BRAVO. They love their jobs.

This man is a genius. But I’m sure I’m not saying anything new. His playing is so exquisite, in every way - so well thought through - with an astonishing technique which is a means for him to express his artistic voice - the greatest I have rarely heard in any medium.

The way his hand moves across the instrument 😮

  • @DrMomoyama1801

I've never heard of a violin interpretation of Francisco Tarrega. Wow, it is just amazing. Thank you, Augustin for such an amazing performance.

    クリスチャン・フェラスを彷彿とさせる美しい音色。カラヤンが聴いたなら、共演を望んだのではないでしょうか。本当に素晴らしいバイオリニスト、芸術家ですね。

He's one of the greatest violinist of this time. The way he stands his ground - literally - is a marvel to watch. He takes his energy from the ground, transferring it directly to the string.

  • @brendaharrup5706

His phrasing is sublime and his fingering is perfection.

Oh, this guy is everything! The orchestra - beyond glorious! (By the way, when the concert master gets up OUT OF HIS CHAIR to shake your hand - especially from an Orchestra with the storied history that the Finish Radio Symphony Orchestra has - you have indeed earned their respect. That was a HUGE gesture.) Back to Augustin: I love how he provides such a soft and light touch to certain phrases. Where most violinists attack, Augustin finesses.
