Interesting. Thanks. Especially the sleeping bag stuff, because I sleep cold, too.
I remember you having a difficult time near Ridgecrest, CA, as well.

Yeah I think early trail I was getting back into the swing of things. There's definitely a transitional period on a thru-hike both starting and ending.
Thanks for your continued support Linda!

Following along with you both was a great pleasure..thank you!
You made a comment in Sierras about despite how "sic" the scenery was.....you still had to go through the routine every day..after day..after day,.,..thanks.. that's really so true.
Congratulations again on your achievement and great trip vlog!!
All the best for your future life adventure 🤗

Yeah it gets to be a bit weird when you're looking at incredible scenery but not all there at the same time.

What do you guys personally think about 8000 permits instead of the normal 5000 or so? Do you think it would be too busy or have a negative effect in one way or another?

If there are more wild fires that cause a big bubble it's going to be a problem for both thru-hikers and amenities in town. Plus Tuolumne Meadows is closing a major resupply camp ground. There are many sections of trail that were affected by fires this year that will more than likely be closed or unsafe. I have no idea if Bucks Lake and the area that was burned by the Dixie Fire this year are reopened. haven't really had time to think about it but now that you ask I definitely think the trail needs a rest.

Who fixed the zippers on the X-Mid when you were in bend Oregon? Did you contact Dan Durston about the issue, thx. 🏕

We took it to a local seamstress/tailor shop and they fixed it for us, however they did not have the double sided zipper heads so they're only accessible from one side. I have not contacted him since the company that produced them was Drop and it looks like he's trying to do his own thing with the same designs. Unsure if he'd honor a warranty or not
