Just a shout out to Scott Bradlee for not only great piano playing but for arranging all the PMJ music to all the different styles and making them work brilliantly! That takes talent! The sound is only 70% or so of enjoying a PMJ piece. The obvious FUN the performers are having together can't be missed.
Okay, how come every single person in this video is a musical genius??? Everything about the arrangement is bloody perfect. The harmonies, the different leads, the doo-doos in the background, the funky piano player, the steady beat, the AMAZING high notes of the leftmost guy. Not to mention that everyone looks like they are having the time of their lives. This is what music is supposed to look and sound like! Congrats guys, you killed it!!

Postmodern Jukebox FLOORS me with these covers. ALL OF THEIR SINGERS ARE WORLD CLASS and the Scott's old skool arrangement of these modern songs is literally genius level musicianship. BRILLIANT doesn't even begin to describe their work.

All four of these guys are fantastic. I watch this video all the time and to see them perform just lifts me up. Kenton, Luke, Matt and Mario, you are having so much fun with this, you should sing together more often!
Not only is this cover awesome in and of itself, but this take on the song is especially perfect because the inspiration for the mmmbop chorus did in fact come from '50s doowop :D So many people think that mmmbop is just some silly, nonsensical song, and I'm always like "no, it's really not- the lyrics have meaning, and the chorus is just the way it is because the Hansons grew up on a lot of '50s music and had a lot of doowop influence!"
So yeah, I love this cover and feel like it would be very much Hanson-approved ^__^

His range though. First I wasn't expecting the smallest guy to be doing the lowest lines. Yes I know some of the smaller guys can get down to the basement, but still. He makes it seem so effortless. Maybe for him it is. I would say baritone (not sure) to that high tenor? Amazing. And then at 2:45 going from that high right back to the bottom. Wow!
