WE WERE SO LUCKY TO HAVE A MAN LIKE "DICK CLARK" LEADING THE YOUTH IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. I MISS THAT TODAY.
I wish I could lived that too. I'm 50, but these songs are to me my parents musical legacy that will be with me until my final day.
Why are they all modern versions?

This is my first time to find this Playlist, but its funny bc I was born in 1991. Im thinking of my dad today, who passed in 2021. We used to ride to his different job sites in the 90s, listening to the oldies from 50s and 60s. I can still see the red interior of his old school truck. Some of my favorite memories ill ever have.

Beautiful music reminds me of my parents. Every Saturday was clean house and listen to music while doing so. My mother and my father would start dancing and we would stop to watch them. They were great dancers. My they both be dancing in thgreat dance floor in the sky. RIP😊

What a beautiful and heartwarming memory.
I love this! My parents sometimes did the same thing, dance. When I was visiting my mom in Texas a couple years ago, she would have been 80, I got her to dance a couple of her Charleston, Jig, whatever she was doing. She showed her grandkids a couple things. Then she got tired and said that was enough. I get her to sing and dance. I'm the only one who encourages her to do so. Out of her 6 children. Fun memories!

You're right that Ricky Nelson first recorded the song (in April 1958--fully 66 years ago now). And that is the track we hear, I believe. But the Fleetwoods did cover it, in 1962.

Every artist,every song in the 20s. I know every song made in the 20s. Bessie Smith & loui Armstrong. They were best friends. Ii feel like I was born in 1920 & died in 1959 Reborn in 1960.
