You have so many relationships in this life
Only one or two will last
You go through all the pain and strife
Then you turn your back, and it’s gone so fast
Ooh yeah, it’s gone so fast
So hold one to the ones who really care
In the end they’ll be the only ones there
When you get old and start losing your hair
Can you tell me who will still care?
Can you tell me who will still care?
      Care?
Say oh yeah, and in an mmmbop they’re gone
Plant a seed, plant a flower, plant a rose
You can plant any one of those
Keep planting to find out which one grows
It’s a secret, no one knows
It’s a secret, no one knows
      Knows, no one knows
      Well can you tell me?
Whoa, no you can’t cuz you don’t know
      Can you tell me?
You say you can but you don’t know
      Can you tell me?
No you can’t cuz you don’t know
      Can you tell me?
You say you can but you don’t know
      (Which flower’s gonna grow?)

Agreed! My first gf I ever had was huge into these guys. Superfan status. She wrote fanfic and all that stuff. Naturally, that's all she really listened to, so I got myself a copy and listened to it quite a bit. She passed away suddenly at 18 with no cause of death ever being found. After hearing the news from a mutual friend, I had to revisit the album from time to time in her memory.

Adult me knows the truth behind the song and gets it.
I'm glad we got these guys as part of our childhood. I have always had an appreciation for those who can write songs about something other than love and heartache.

As a dude who hated on Hanson pretty hard in middle school when this came out, it's pretty strange to come back to this song all these years later and realize it's actually not half bad, well written, well played and really the only problem there ever was with Hanson or this song was my own insecurity level.
    Sounded great, Gentlemen.
