Hi i bought one just recently, it already has 20230320 firmware installed. How do you know if it's the chop tones version? Both firmware versions on the NUX website have the same version number and file size. Thanks in advance
Hi, you can see from the IRs available. The choptones version has only 18 slots for use IRs as the first two are filled by choptones ones. In any case I am not expecting a factory new device to include the choptones firmware, it if very likely you will need to update it
Thank you for your tutorial. However, I ran into an issue after I had downloaded the firmware and launched teh Device Updater, as you showed in your tutorial: Regretably the Device updater did not found the device, after I start up the device in Update mode. I used the original (good quality cable). The device lit up in loading mode so connection to my Mac was coorect. What can ik do now?
Hi friend, may I ask you if your device connects to the Mac with the regular software? Which version of Mac do you own? Did you upgraded to Sequoia (which is known for permission issues)? The easiest thing to do is try with another PC (from a friend maybe) as firmware upgrade is a rare activity
The asio drivers are required to allow windows to recognize the device as a usb audio interface. It should be possible to install them without connecting them but much easier if you have the device connected. I hope I replied to your question
Very helpful. Thanks. My device (mighty plug pro) during the update blinks in orange, not in yellow. That’s the only difference.
Thank you

Thank you...a question please..
I update first firmware 3.0 for Windows and after the firmware of ChopTones but I don't see news...is it possible ?
Check IRs block. You shall see 2 "CT" IRs, as far as I know that is the only difference between the two versions of the firmware.
Merci beaucoup
De rien mon ami
Hi do I still need to connect the device when I install the asio driver for windows?

@@TutoJam Thanks anyway, but I already installed it without the device a while ago, it turned out fine.
I am happy to hear that. Good holidays, ❄️

This is just a guide about how to upgrade the firmware. Was not related to a specific one
