    Hey, I'm Mathias Papendorf.
A colleague showed me your video and thought it was funny:-)
I wanted to fight back in the coming days, but since yesterday's update the cars are slower now .

I'm currently reading an absolute sh*t show in the R3E Discord about the new FFB, it's absolutely horrendous what they've done. I've spent 30 minutes with it so far and the cars have no feel to them! You'll know yourself, when you're driving at this level you need to feel the limit of grip at every point of a 13 mile track... but now you can't feel that limit! There's nothing fed back at all, the sim feels like F12020 from Codemasters now! It's awful! Great lap though, I wasn't aware that they'd made the cars slower or if it's just harder to drive them now because of the terrible FFB but I'm gonna do a follow up and see if I can do this again with the new update.

@@NeilCrossy I have to say that after a few adjustments, I like the force feedback.
But you can believe me. The cars are slower now. Raceroom have lowered the splitter by 5mm. You touch down earlier and now have to drive higher.
At Spa you are about 1-1.5 seconds slower than before.

@@nuosimulation3421 Actually yes I'm getting used to the new ffb now, there's still too much of a deadzone in the centre and under braking but after I got some updated settings from the devs it's much more usable. But I definitely did notice the lower cars, the DTM 2020 bottoms out now inbetween Fuchsrohre and Adenauer Forst and you can hear and feel the car slow down dramatically. Strange that they didn't reset the leaderboards again with this update affecting the performance of the cars.

@@NeilCrossy Sorry for the late reply :-)
Yes, I tested the Nordschleife yesterday and on the straights alone I'm sure you lose seconds.
I will write to a beta tester again today to ask them to reset the times. It's not earth-shattering, but the leaderboard no longer makes any sense.

I think Alex probably hates the DTM 2020 :-D. They are now even slower after the DRS fix. Ridiculously slow on the straights. You should drive the Nordschleife again. How the car slows down in dips now. From the ridiculous top speed I do not even speak

So I just did... wow what an absolute train wreck that car is now :( Absolutely HORRIBLE to drive compared to when I made these videos. I've just spent 2 full weeks, I don't know how many hours, dozens, trying to get the car just driveable... then when I do I can't keep up with your ghost on the straights as it's bottoming out, so I adjust springs etc then it spins out too easy, change the ride height and it's been a 2 week cycle of that hell. Finally just beat your ghost by 0.2s but damn was that hard. I made tons of mistakes and I know the setup wasn't perfect, you probably know you could have gone quicker as there were a few corners you lagged behind a bit, but I think there's easily another second to gain. I just absolutely hate that car now though!

      @@NeilCrossy Hey Neil.
You can't hate her that much :-). 2 weeks :-) But I don't begrudge you. I don't feel like it any more :-) Hotlapping stresses me out.
About the cars: they are easier to drive now. On the Nordschleife you now have to put the cars higher up so that they don't touch the ground too much. . then it goes quite well. The air resistance has also been increased
They are more suitable for the masses, because the whole world only wants to drive GT3s. I still drive the DTM 2020 in a league and there was also a large loss of drivers there, unfortunately. Many just don't want to invest the time to adapt. But the coming season will be better :-)

@@nuosimulation3421 Honestly I found the car far more difficult to drive now than before the changes, maybe that's just the Nordschleife. I also went a totally different direction with setup, instead of putting the car higher, I put it lower than stock and stiffened the springs and roll bars. I couldn't find a good aero balance with the car raised above stock so I kept it low, it was bottoming out at some points but the stiff springs helped with top speed and I made up for the dips in the corners. But yea, then I noticed there's a DTM 2021 pack out!

@@NeilCrossy You can believe me. I've been driving them in the league for two years. They are much easier to drive now. And DTM 2021 is unfortunately just this GT3 stuff and not the old Class 1. Completely different
