- It's time to look at a new DLC character, it's been a while since last time, but now that the next fighter pass is live. There certainly will be more to come. Today's fighter is Min Min. Certainly a unique character. This character is pretty complex, and has a lot of moving parts. There are a lot of things to cover, so hopefully this will cover most of it.

Sorry about the audio being low, I'll have it figured out for future videoes. But for the time beign you'll just have to turn up the audio.
Do bowser
It's fine it's good to know you found out how to fix it great video btw
I wish I could but even at max it is still low.
I suggest having the audio average at around -12 decibels. It about what I was taught to be industry standard.
sorry to bother you. I was on your discord server, and apparently I posted something that broke your rules last time. I eventually joined back a couple months later and exclaimed that I’ve learned my lesson and won’t do it again. However, the mods still decided to ban me over a past mistake, even though I did not break your rules when rejoining. I am really interested in smash hitboxes and your channel, and I would like to be apart of your community. Please consider inviting me back. I know banning someone for a past mistake technically isn’t a violation of your rules, but it does seem a bit scummy, don’t you think?
"Hey, imagine if you could edge-guard both ledges at the same time."
It would be so crazy
@@NanamoriYT plz change ur Pfp
Just wanted to say that her up throw is the 10th strongest in the game. It kills a few % later than a samus up throw.
This
You can back throw at ledge->f smash Lazer to kill most at around 15-30
@@imperialphoenix1229 thats not a true combo
@@imperialphoenix1229 yeah not true combo
Ok so back throw and down throw for percent and up throw for kills
I feel like the training mode hitbox thing should have been in the base game. It would have been a cool way to show how moves work. At least we have modders.
They have it in games like Brawlhalla so it's definitely not impractical for nintendo to do
rivals of aether.
Should have hit boxes, hurt boxes, and frame data. Also damage and knockback info.
The best way to make a game more welcoming to casuals and accessible to newcomers is to help them improve. Info like that is very useful.
For real,even Brawlhalla shows them
The fact that they still use Captain Falcon as a base to build off of is cool
As he was built off of the original version of what smash was before Nintendo was stamped over it
I've heard most dlc characters do that too, and some other ones. Probably just speculation for some
The "Dragon King" fighter model was given to Captain Falcon.
His moveset is 100% original for Super Smash Bros.
The anime came out AFTER smash 64. Smash 64 is the origin of Falcon Punch
"Dragon King: A Fighting Game" would still have been a Nintendo game. Sakurai thought it was a good idea to put Mario, Samus, Fox, and Captain Falcon over the models when he first showed it to higher-ups; because before that point he had been making it on his own time, hoping a greater chance of approval for the game. Nintendo liked their popular characters in one game and greenlighted that project instead. Sakurai was happy with this
All returning characters will be based off of themselves
I kinda wanna see Joker Falcon Punching someone.
It's a need piece of trivia
I’m pretty sure min min’s up and back throw kill
Definitely do. I think up kills around 150%, back a little lower though if at the stage's edge.
Back air leads to f smash to dragon beam off stage and it kills at 0
@@milk1187 Not scientifically possible
@@milk1187 I know you mean back throw but that's still nowhere near true
Extremely DI’able so with decent DI it doesn’t kill untill around 190
5:21 “None of her throws combo or kill”. HA can’t wait to see his reaction to her easy throw, smash, and blast 0% death combo video
It isn't true.
5:15 Min Min's grab is tied for the slowest grab in the game. She's tied with the Samuses (normal and zerosuit)
Is the slowest in ultimate but at least not in the entire franchise, nothing can beat old Pac-man's grab
Juan Rodriguez 64 Samus's is slowest
Juan Rodriguez what frame was sm4sh‘s pacman grab?
@@juanrodriguez9971 I mean S4 Pac Man's grab wasn't that slow to start.
It just had an entire decade of endlag.
@@sonpham3438 Frame 12 with 76 frames total. Grabboxes was frame 12-14, 22-24, 32-39 iirc. (I mained Pac-Man in Smash 4 btw and it was torture.)
Isn't it called "ram-ram"?
No, it's called Hot-ring. You can watch Sakurai's presentation, he says hot-ring
Younes Layachi No, it’s called ram-ram, you can check the actual game
@@koltenarcand7781 yeah but I can't go one day without people telling me I'm poor for playing the game and that it sucks so there is a chance they hate the game
In Japanese it's Hot Ring, but the name in English is Ram-Ram
@@violetsfiasco7703 there is this thing called Wikia, you should use them.
You should've talked about how the tracking works with the Dragon Arm's laser. Like the maximum range that the dragon will tilt its beam.
Plus focusing on how long the Ram Ram hitbox lasts. A few times, it looked like the returning Ram Ram should've connected when my opponent was right in top of me.
Wait, you don't even need the neutral air to t-pose?
"None of her throws combo or kill."
Uhh... have you not heard of the back-throw zero-to-death?
Technically not a zero to death. You can DI.
Min Min's D-Tilt is faster than Joker and Clouds in both frames and endlag.
Cute. Fitting for a DLC fighter.
Can you look at Ganondorf? Especially the hole in his f smash?
Hole?
Lysparks there’s a blindspot
Good idea but I just hope ur not complaining about it
i also want to see ganondorf, been one of my favourites since melee
DDD has a bigger blind spot
Min Mins dash attack reminds me of the last thing they do in the end of “Be A Man” from Mulan
Dair saved me so many times when playing her. That landing hit box doesnt mess around and is a good 'get off me' tool when popped up in the air
I absolutely love this character! As one of the small few who likes ARMS, I’m glad it got a playable rep in the game-even if it would’ve been better to have them in the base game. While Smash has turned into a celebration of gaming, it is a Nintendo All-Star first in formost, and I love when they incorporate their more niche IPs into the roster, each iteration has had at least one of them!
Can you turn up your volume? Every video you have is super quiet, making me have to max out my volume and then hopefully remember to turn it down when it's done to not get blasted by the next vid I watch.
You have to max it out? Halfway is plenty of volume for me
Thank you for the sauce to my raw ra- *min*
The volume on this video was kinda low...
The volume on all of his vids are low. I have to max out my volume just to hear him.
It's a little annoying though
@vicefulder did you even look at the pinned comment
1:18 - (uses a throw)
Dragon Arm: "You have entered 𝐏𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑 𝐃𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐄!"
Minmin has made me switch to claw grip and remap grabs & jump to new buttons. :D
Her up and down Smashes, are just absurd! That jab as well! It reaches so far away from her actual model and animations! They REALLY wanted people to like this character, and giving really generous hitboxes is one way for sure.
Back throw f-smash is a good confirm when you are at the edge of the level
Explain Min Min's magnificent legs.
“Quite a few tricks you can do with nair” *T-pose intensifies*
I literally only came to see what her recovery range is coz it's so deceptive.
Any one knows where j can find it?
Idk if it's up yet, but you can check smashultimateframedata.com and they have the area that up b can be used from
It's not available yet. But from playing her I can tell it reaches very far upwards and a bit in front, but not a ton
@@MeesterTweester definitely less than Byleth and Joker
When he said that the grabs dont set up for kills i got back trow to dragon fsmash flashbacks
Thank you.
''Min Min has two arms''
Me frantically: write that down, write that down.
Pretty sad that every character has a better version of the Belmonts moves. She is a better Belmont essentially
But she sucks at up close options, which the Belmonts still do that better than her, and personally, Belmonts still have a better overall ledge trapping kit than Min Min with her arms...
@@Shiny_Rayz yeah... The Belmonts will keep you at ledge and rack up damage, Min min will straight up KO you lol
Honestly I have played an ass ton of Belmonts and unlike min Belmonts are infinitely better at dealing with folks getting in their face. Can't ignore some of the best projectiles in the game... They are really even with regards to areas they threaten, axe being able to cover more options/stage positions than min mins arms.
Love how you idiots make assumptions about Min Min when the meta and the options of the character are barely explored. XD
@@mathunit1 now they are lmao
I'm glad you clarified in the title. I would've thought you were talking about Smash 4 Min Min.
He could be talking about Arms
4:58 I MEAN, THANK GOD, SHE ALREADY HAS THE UNNECESSARY REFLECTOR UP SMASH
That reflector is entirely nessesary, as it is one of her two special abilities from ARMS, the other being her left arm's Dragon Arm transformation. In ARMS, while dashing in any direction mid-air or dashing backwards on the ground, she will automatically kick and deflect any punches that come near her, a trait that can only be represented in Smash by some form of reflector on a kicking move.
The reflector kick is in arms
Ram-rang...
Power Dragon...
The lack of ARMS knowledge is painfully obvious
Welp
That's basically the whole smash community
I was just about to say. The game even tells you their names in the tips, you don't even need to go searching online.
But like, they're clearly better names
Power dragon is basically right
You say that, I bet not even you know the real names of the arms
Dude we should have a bit about the hurtboxes too. Even if it’s just 1 or 2 vids for it all.
Also dash attack reminds me of captain falcon
“Her throws don’t combo or kill”
B-throw f-smash: am I a joke to you?
I always appreciate a little alitteration.
For some reason I read the title as ‘MinMins Magnificent Mintboxes
“None of her grabs combo or kill” you obviously haven’t been grabbed at the end edged of stage
And also up throw kills
dude it’s not a true combo. you can jump out of it or air dodge
Sleepybones sorry? It was a joke it’s mostly consistent I know she’s not that good
Imagine editing your comment and it's still a train wreck that still doesnt convey any sort of a joke
the audio is sooo low
The volume on all of his vids are low. I have to max out my volume just to hear him.
@@TheSonicFan4 I'm aware but this one's extra low.
usually go 3/4 of volume on his videos, this one was at max and was barely as loud as his last video
What lead me to this vid was me playing MinMin and her down smash doing weird random damages
Question: do the arm attacks get stronger or weaker as they travel?
Technically, stronger
I believe the smash tips said its strongest a little after they're launched, and it gets weaker from there. It's also very weak right as its launched. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Almost. From experience, the very beginning and very end are a bit weaker, and during 3/4 extention of the arms, its at the strongest.
I think Min Min is incredibly underrated
Now I kind of want to see Min Min falcon kick mid-match.
"None of her grabs combo"
Are you sure about that?
@Student Rohan Joshi back throw then side smash with laser on bowser (or anyone with bad recovery) at 0%
@@Lightmagician60 That can work but I don't think it's a true combo
@@zapp7938 oh it's not true. But characters with mid to poor recovery just die to the zoning
None of her grabs true combo into anything. However, they do put the opponent into good followup position; back throw & forward throw are the best for that, in my opinion.
Lightmagician60 if it’s not a true combo, then it doesn’t really count imo
I didn't realize her down smash extended out so far
Whats up with the sound?
How big is Min Min’s range?
*Yes*
I know a lot of people never touched Arms so I don't blame you for not noticing but there is a reason why her dash attack was planned to reflect. In Arms Min Min is a rush down character that can close distance really easy because one of her abilities is deflecting attacks with a kick mechanic. The dash attack looks very similar to that move both in looks and functionality so they probably tested giving it a reflective property. It might've been a little too much so they scrapped it and made her up smash reflect instead, because it be very out of character if she didn't at least have 1 kick move that reflects projectiles. I still find it funny that Arms is so odd that the biggest rush down character in the game got translated into a zoner when adapted to smash.
Heh, Forseti
Just started playing Genealogy of the Holy war, and the name always gets a laugh out of me
remember when this seemed huge?
well now we have pyra and mytra
Falcon kick is there probably because minmin’s down b doesn’t have a proper animation (it just changes while in crouch, idle air, etc), so they never needed to overwrite it
where's the t-pose hitbox?
It covers the entre screen/stage and it has the same effect as hero's whack and thwack but it always kills at all percents
Nintendo: We dont have a proper up b and down tilt for this character
Sakurai: Eh just give them bulbasaurs' up b and the belmont's down tilt that will do
Well dumbass, Min Min has Cloud's D-Tilt, not Belmont's. :P
"Min Min has 2 ARMS"
Actually, she has 5
Technically true
I now want to see everyone doing Falcon Kick
4:54 woah there where is that going
8:56 Best part of the video
Yee
Probably not going to see this, but I'd love a Mii Brawler or Sonic hitbox video
Cue the "silence, Sonic main" comments
Backthrow into forward smash is a true combo at ledge. (:
Nope, it’s never true, it’s just very likely the player DI’s wrong.
Or forget airdodging is a good move option when at the ledge
“Forehead minmin isn’t real, she can’t hurt you”
Forehead min min: 1:56
Im honestly glad they didnt make her whole arm a hitbox. That would've been overpowered.
“None of her throws combos or kills” *laughs in back throw to smash attack with laser killing at 0%*
not a true combo on anyone
@@launchbase4944 well you see thats where your wrong at certain percents around 5% to 30% depending on the character its a true combo and its easiest to do on heavyweights
4:04 They're also very colorful!
Audio in this vid is way lower than normal. Normally 1/2 to 3/4 works but I had to put it at full in an almost silent room to hear it well.
Just a heads up the audio is pretty low. Probably fine for headphones, but max volume is on the quiet end for phone speakers.
How about Dr. Mario? I've loved playing with Doc in Ultimate and I'd like to see you can find anything interesting. I especially wanna see the Stomp Down Air.
1:51cwe just not gonna talk about her leg not kicking?
Is the Forseti tag a reference to Fire Emblem 4 and 5?
Damn, his volume was so low I had to blow up my phone speakers.
This came out quicker than min min’s grab
I somehow read this as Minmin's insignificant hitboxes
Better belmont in every way but grabs. They definitely have to address the belmonts after.
Cant believe joker and byleth had falcon kick at one point
5:20 none of her throws combo or kill
*Looks at backthrow dragon breath 0-death combo
Oops
Mii Fighters' Mixed Hitboxes
Her back throw kills at not completely unreasonable percents and upthrow kills at much higher percents.
Up throw and back throw kill
MinMin seems a bit more buggy/sloppy compared to the other DLC characters. COVID's likely affecting the process...
Insert "Pit's Pitiful Hitboxes" comment
I NEED IT
The volume here be quieter than the crowd at a golf game
For a character all about ARMS she sure has some nice LEGS.
Hey just want to note that while the dash attack may seem underwhelming, it’s an incredibly important part on min min’s kit
Backthrow does not kill, however it is a GODSEND for setting up power dragon ledgeguards. Just pointing that out.
Unless they do any option like instant airdodge or some DI
@@Shiny_Rayz nah, above 40-60% they are always ready for catching a lazor unley they are pikashit, foxxx, falcunt or ROB. _Maybe_ KK Rool.
I find it funny that people always try to reflect the Min Min’s ram ram no matter how many times it fails.
can we talk about what the actual fuck is that disjoint on min min's down smash on the front hit
it is basically an entire hitbox just thrown on the move because why not
4:00 the virgina hitbox
"human fighters use falcons animations early on"
Wait....
*Zss doing falcon kick?*
Wolfs Wicked Hitboxes
I wish it was just the arms moves that are basically the same, but all her upward normals are too.
Bruh look at her front foot during down smahs
Next up "K Rool's Kruel Hitboxes"...
Hey I tried...
Should've been "Min Min's Miniature Hitboxes", smhmyhead
*actually the entire stage*
Up throw and back throw both kill
I’d still love to see you cover the differences between the three Links
Can you do a video on Ness or Donkey Kong's hit boxes? They probably won't be as interesting as Joker's, or any of the other DLC characters. However I still think they would be interesting nonetheless.
honestly Min-Min with falcon kick sounds scarier
Oh yeah can’t wait for sephiroth
Can you turn your volume up? I can't hear you.
