Bayside Police Officer Injured During High-Speed Pursuit

- Grafton Police reported a locating a vehicle having a stolen license plate which was later pursued by the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office on Interstate 43 before terminating on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. Bayside Police picked up the pursuit and stop sticks were deployed on I-43 near Brown Deer Road. The vehicle came to a stop after losing a tire near Good Hope Road and three suspects ran from the vehicle. Two females that ran from the vehicle were taken into custody but the male driver jumped a seven foot tall fence along the freeway with an officer in foot pursuit also jumping the fence. The officer pursuing the driver was injured when he cut his hand on the fence. He required hospitalization for treatment of his injuries. For more videos and photos, visit / incidentresponse .
Love how polite this cops is while still being injured and keeping his cool while remaining respectful even to the suspect. Over all great job officer Fuller. Hope you recover fully and quickly. Happy holidays.

NEVER stand between a stopped vehicle and traffic on a freeway. A State tow truck driver once told me that. He also said to never stop on a freeway overpass because someone WILL rear-end you. Saving the rim of your flat tire isn't worth your life. Drive the vehicle OFF the bridge or overpass even if it ruins your rim. He's seen too many fatalities. Word to the wise. 36,000 people are killed every year on the highways.
I'm glad this officer wasn't severely hurt. Hopefully, he regains the full use of his hand.
That officer did pretty well for being young. Sliced his hand up and still was able to communicate properly. Didn't surprise me when dispatch responded saying the driver had two 99s.

The title should read officer injured AFTER high speed pursuit. Since he cut it going over the fence.

Stand up cop. Even after getting injured chasing after the driver, the cop is straight forward on still doing his job. The pain from getting cut up by a rusty 7' fence has to be pretty bad. That can do a lot of damage including Tetanus. Could be a life changing career ending injury. Hopes for a speedy recovery. Grafton is lucky to have this guy working on their side.

The female who walked away had time to remove whatever she was packing and toss it in the woods before she was picked uip. Whatever the driver paid the girls, it wouldn't be enough to take a drug possession jail term.
They will trace her steps and search back to where they bailed out of the car. They will find whatever she had.
If he had a handkerchief perhaps he could have wrapped his hand.
A glove would have added compression to the wound.
I still think the Police should have an attack tiger. They have very good night vision, great sense of smell and hearing. And then the tiger can "keep" any meat that he "finds"...

How can a police department not have a K9?
Depends on scheduling and availability.
A K-9 is costly. Remember, most criminals are trying to defund the Police. They are tired of being bit.
Where the hell have you been? Come on man.
This area is a cluster of smaller agencies. Typically they don’t have the manpower or resources for a K-9 unit. Which is why they rely on mutual aid so much. I believe only one of those small agencies has a K-9 unit and they’re not always on duty. However it’s surprising that the sheriff didn’t have anyone to spare.
A drone with an infra red camera might be less costly than a dog.

I jumped a chain link fence and the little wire tie holding the middle up snapped, I had one leg on the fence itself, once that tie broke I did a split and my foot slipped. I was stabbed by the barbs in 2 places, one damn close to the boys down stairs. That was 25 years ago. I have scars from it still, that area has no feeling at all, I’ve had issues with that leg just giving out since I did it. Those damn barbs ca fuck you up bad.

This officer is a beast....he took for ever to call for an ambulance and then canceled it ....pretty good possibility he has nerve damage so canceling was probably not the smartest decision he's ever made but awesome job

Officer Fuller may have saved those two women from having to do any more of those hotel visits with people they don't know.. Plus look at the vehicle everyone jumped from a nice and decent not a beat up hooptie ride... Running from the Police should be considered a deadly threat to the public and the Police should be allowed to stop them with deadly force. I have personally seen what an idiot going over 100mph can do to a family of three.....on the way to church.

You can tell this cop isn't ex millitary , he walks around saying fuck a lot but doesn't make moves to clean and patchup his wound with his remaining hand, which isn't easy but can be done. Pouring clean bottled water on the wound will help the blood vessles contract up and wash out any dirt before it can set in and do damage (yes it hurts like a M-Fker) but is better in the long run to heal up and not get wonky through blood loss.
They have first aid kit in each Unit.
Just needs assailant wrapped up for time to clean wound.
