Well, that's just it! It's actually a 3 Stage process. I based the car with 3 coats of jet black color 1st. Then I mixed a Clear Basecoat and added 1.5 grams of Powdered pearl to 1 gallon. Then I only sprayed one coat of that on top of the black to get the effect! Then 2 coats of cleat on top. If you add the pearl to the clearcoat, the car will turn blue and will look blotchy . I don't add it in the clear! It will be extremely Blochy. I add it into a Transparent Basecoat,,,, then Clearcoat on top. I added 1 Gram of Blue Powdered PEARL to 1 Reduced Quart of Transparent basecoat

Hey man, yes that pearl is only sold in pints . I don't know who would sell it in smaller amounts tbh. Maybe go to an Auto paint supply store and just get it PRE mixed

At one point you said .5 grams per 28 ounces and then 1.5 grams per gallon. It would be 2.29 grams per gallon if it was .5 grams per 28 ounces. I just want to make sure I get it right. Absolutely. I sprayed 3 different test panels! .5 ounces , 1 ounce, then 1.5 ounces of the Blue pearl! They chose .5 and this was the outcome.
