      That's some special shit right there. I remember painting tractor wheels with my pop-pop as a kid. I ended up painting fighter aircraft in the Air Force. Tomorrow, I'm painting a trailer for a friend, and my 15-year-old son will be out there learning with me. It's those memories we carry forever.

    Thank you so much for sharing so much knowledge that is helping to change careers, by learning all of the techniques that you teach, and being able to provide paying customers with quality work and products. My eyesight has become way too poor to continue doing tattoos, after 40+ yrs in the industry, but with your help, I'll be able to support myself doing something I love and tinkered around with over the years. I could never charge money for anything less than quality work, and you always provide very thorough videos that I can understand easily and learn quickly. After I can finally afford corrective surgery I might not even go back into tattooing because I know I'll be very satisfied painting and airbrushing with your products, and your instructions to keep knowledgeable about everything that you teach. I'm gonna be going back thru your archived videos and binge watching everything that I haven't seen yet, and I really want to learn how to paint with water based automotive paints, if it's something that you recommend, and have videos that I can find to watch. I'm really just beginning this journey, and I hope it's a very fruitful experience, because I'm willing to do anything I need to do to get as good as I possibly can, because as you surely know..... there's no amount of money that equals the pride we feel when we do something amazing and make our customers happy. The money is just a side effect that allows us to keep doing what we do. Thanks again PEACE

    The way I’ve always done “murdered” candy is by starting with black base then mix whatever candy color you want but mix a crystal pearl with the first 3 coats of candy then 2 more coats of straight candy, clear coat to top it off. Gives a super deep effect and when the sun hits the paint looks like it’s dancing.

    Hey Chris, Jerry here. It's been a while. I just re-watched this video and I'm going to give this a try on my neighbor kids ATV. As always you make it look so easy. I have had some great successes with the candy2O paints. now I'm going to try the hot rod sparkle. There still is no 4050 clear around here so I'm ordering it again. I did a small tank a while back with the candy2O blood red and I used some Molotow liquid chrome for my base. let it cure for about 30 days then the red candy20 over the liquid chrome and WOW. one light coat and then three medium coats and the depth was amazing. Three coats of clear and a little polishing and it looked really nice. I know iv'e told you before but thank you so much for these videos. Following your advice and your techniques has really stepped up my painting skills. I'm getting some really nice, professional looking finish products. Thanks again. Take care and Wishing you and yours a great 2023.

      Just get started and have fun with the process as you learn to paint things. Start small and simple, make test panels so you can learn from failures ahead of time, and give it time. Start with opaques and colors that cover so you can apply them evenly, and work up to pearls, then transparent and candy colors. Thanks for watching!

    I love the Mr. Rogers style intro. Oh me? Just dropping some sparkle.
    I can't agree more on the conservative use of black candy. I just got finished re-laying deep red over gold marble/black for a similar effect, and 1 coat of black candy was fine, but 2 was overkill. I would lean towards bright candies under black. The clear isn't going to magically bring the color back if you go overboard with the black.
    If it goes black, it's just a very expensive black paint job.

    • @CreatexColors
      @CreatexColors  4 года назад +1

      Without the pearl, the effect is not too noticeable as the pearl is what really creates the effect under the candy2o Black. The base is black (6002 Sealer Black), so a candy2o color applied over black looks black (candy2o dues are transparent). The pearl gives the candy2o color something to interact with. Definitely make a test panel or two to determine results with or without a pearl. Thank you.

    I have a set of alloys, media blasted, that are 'ripe' for that murdered candy black look. As a newbie to the candy paint (been shooting clear, base and some single stage whites) I've been looking for a Candy Prep how to but they're surprisingly hard to find. Also, the terminology and typical fast pace of the YB clips tend to gloss over (if you pardon the pun) the mixing and timing details. Can you direct me to a how to mix and prep candy tutorial? Createx paints handle heat well over 350 F., and can be used to paint engine walls, valve covers , hood liners, brake calipers and more. Not sure. Please make a murdered candy tank using Vantablack and share a video of the results. We'd love to see it. Thanks.

    Was the Hot Rod Sparkle Red mixed with anything besides reducer

      Hot Rod Sparkle was mixed with 4050 UVLS Gloss Clear. Mix ratio can vary but generally 4050 3:1 Hot Rod Sparkle works; thin ~ 10% per vol. 4011 Reducer. 4050 UVLS Gloss Clear, www.uvlsclears.com.

    Can you duplicate black novelty pearl from 98 Suzuki TL1000s?

    I have a 97 tl1000s that’s Pearl Novelty Black. It’s same style. Looks black most of time but in sunlight it’s a deep blue metallic. Beautiful color and expensive OEM. can you match closely?

      Please see our candy2o Color Chart video, where each candy, including 4666 Tealiscous, is applied over various base metallic colors, including Wicked W359 Metallic Charcoal which makes for dark value of the candy colors its applied over. Thank you. ruclips.net/video/svPIxC1mUHE/видео.html

    Question , i wanna make a britisch Racing Green (opaque) on( what base White (or black) ) (or a bit lighter Green than British Racing Green for later mid layer the gold effect in the Sun ) with mid layer Gold effekt (Pearl or Candy) and on Top British Racing Green (transparent) , and Top coat ( but what clear coat Matte or...) . End effect is by Sun light a rich Green with gold metallic effect instead silver normal metallic effect. And by Shadow or non direct Sun light a more none or less gold effect in the Green color or a matte.. If i am wrong with the color layers before and thinking at build layers cause to many ? and choose to for to get it right? Can Somebody Help and correct If wrong ? I want Take createx colors and coats etc. Thanks for helping greetings from Germany ; Alex Matera ; (; is IT easier Base coat than British Racing Green 1-2 layers than one layer transparent coat with gold effect in it and than clear coat layes on Top ?)
