It is really expensive, but it's silly to compare its price and spec to a direct-sale bike like Propain or YT. Bikes sold in bike shops are always going to be relatively more expensive. If you don't want to pay the premium for a shop bike, that's understandable, but don't act shocked because they don't offer the same value as direct sales.

Good review video, Kaz! Here's my tip for my Saints brake pads, I did " carefully" spread out the pads springs away from each other, to have the pads pushed against the pistons. It did the trick for me, hope that helps 🤘
Solid bike , both colours are awesome. I think the mixed shock combo is actually good. The Super Deluxe is really plush and the Fox Forks are simply the best. I bought a bike with 4 piston XT brakes and I m not experiencing the rattling ... maybe they re not all doing it. I don t have a bite point problem either.
Pretty much everyone knew it was Nomad SC was dropping next. I like the design of the new head tube, looks cool. Surprised to see them mix Rockshox with Fox, thats a new one. Why not just throw a Zeb up front or an X2 in back? One of the nicest looking frames out there. Looks like a great bike and fantastic video.
It has not won design and innovation award so I don't think so. Santa Cruz only has one award for Stigmata in 2017, Merida on the other hand has had around 12

I like the amount of travel this bike has, soaks up just about everything. But the rear feels loose all the time. I'm constantly checking tire pressure and spokes mid ride. I'm going to try carbon wheel set and if that doesn't fix it I'm gonna sell..

I feel like all frames being made now a days should have some form of swat box. Especially as the lead designer of SC said its one of the things he's most gutted they never thought of. I mean even trek are doing it
And the price, SC are way over priced, the entry level ones have componentry that is well below the level expected for the price, and they are no better than other brands especially for average riders that do not push the bike to the limit where any subtle differences may show if there are any.
@@TheAllEngineering I used to think the same, but after owing the Nomad V4 for over a year i couldn't disagree more. The Nomad was my first bike that i really truly loved. No pedal bob, not much pedal kickback, enough progression but not too much so you can still setup up different shocks, etc. I used to own a YT, Canyon etc because of the parts but now i would definitely choose a high end frame over parts. Plus every time something brakes you get excited to upgrade 😊😅
@@JulienVollweiter If you climb at a sedate pace then pedal bob and inefficiency is not really an issue, but if you power it up then the forward momentum definitely does not match the power being put in. I rode HT and found it really bad when you ramped the power up, at a sedate pace it was ok.
The fork crown is backwards in at least some of the shots - bike in the stand and when it's in the field and they're panning around it. Not sure if it's also backwards in the riding shots.
If you want to jump go for nomad! If you want to roll fast go for the enduro. Climbing is really the same. The nomad is more a freerider that you can pedal welland the enduro is more enduro bike that is pretty massive on the descending 👍
Still stuck in 2015, eh? The current reverbs are brilliant, and if you don’t want it, just remove it. It’s not like you wouldn’t have money to do that.

With much cheaper and more reliable options on the market, i still think that this spec is just plain outdated. Until rockshox understands that hydraulic droppers aren't a thing, i'll keep this exact line of thought. It's just one more thing to bleed. Let's keep oil in our brakes, where it makes an actual difference. Making the post go up faster by half a second won't make anyone choose the reverb over any other reliable cable actuated dropper; that is also probably cheaper.
The review on Vital references that Santa Cruz is specifically recommending not to mullet this bike. Does anybody have any SPECIFIC information on why that is?
I'm really tired of people knocking on the shimano brake rattle. Dinging SC because of the brakes a con is stupid. I rather have the xt brakes over any of the shit sram brakes. Plus I prefer the older 2poc m8000 brakes over the new ones.

Also very good value if you ask me (comes with Carbon Main frame as Well) ;)

Completely agree. It's not Nike and Adidas. You can't even see the shock all black, and if it bothers you that much just swap it out.
I don't know if they will ever release an alloy version again, there were so many customers complaints about cracked chainstays

Probably, because you will have to size up the front wheel, unless you want to go 27.5 up front and 26 in the rear.
