    I rented the '18 Enduro at Snowshoe this summer; and it was an incredible rig! Literally just hopped on and was comfortable jumping and railing berms straight outta the gate. It would be my choice, but I am extremely limited with experience on full-squishes. On another note, mountain bike prices have quickly gotten to the point where you can identify the haves and the have nots in the industry. It's truly unfortunate to say the least.

      Nothing wrong with a $500-$750 bike. The MTB industry is nuts. Most people think you have to have a $5k+ bike to be able to ride. It's like saying that buying a $300 pair of Nike's are going to make you play basketball better than the guy wearing Chucks. It comes down to skill and not your checkbook.

    • @jmard24
      @jmard24 5 лет назад +8

      @@XploreAz the industry is not nuts. manufacturers know that the bikes they make (especially boutique brands) are for a small group of avid cyclists. It costs alot of money to engineer, test and build these bikes. For the majority of people, bikes on the lower end of the scale will do just fine. it's the same on the road side. A beginner will recieve little to no benefit from a 10k bike vs a 700 dollar bike because they lack the skills to really take advantage of the technology. a skilled rider while still faster than most of would suffer on a lower end bike because they lack the precision and characteristics of the high end bikes.

    • @XploreAz
      @XploreAz 5 лет назад +21

      @@jmard24 The point I'm trying to make is that nobody needs a $10,000 bike. The industry makes it seem like you have to spend several thousands of dollars on a bike in order to get out and compete or even have fun. That's not the case. It comes down to skill more than anything.

    In my opinion, Devinci has the best R and D, and the only manufacturer to design AND fabricate aluminum bike frames and components in North America. In fact Devinci’s R&D offices are right next to their fabrication plant. That’s pretty awesome. They don’t have the trendy popularity or distribution of other brands but they are a great brand.....And of course the late Stevie Smith raced for them so I’ll always be fan.

    This year I was in the market for a new bike... was looking for an enduro bike and tried out many bikes including the Santa Cruz Megatower, Devinci Spartan, Evil Wrekoning etc. I Ended up going with 2019 Devinci Troy Carbon 29er :) This bike rules :) Felt very similar to the Spartan but just a little more playful/poppy. I didn't get a chance to ride the new Evil Offering or the 2020 Specialized Enduro but those bikes look sick as well. What I will say at the end of the day any of these bikes would have made me happy, they are all incredible. It's hard to find a bad bike these days. So close your eyes and play 'eni mini mani mo' you can't go wrong lol
