The progression is absolutely bonkers! Way to get after it and get better with every day!! Truly awesome to behold. These biking videos are great bro keep them up!
When you hoot and holler during your runs, it shows you are having so much fun and it makes me think of the line "If someone had a revelation, passed some legislation, made it so elation is an obligation on every occasion, that'd be pretty dope".
Great stuff. I ski and I race dh mtn bikes. They compliment each other very well. You have to have good vision, read the terrain, and confidence helps. On the mountain bike think heavy feet light hands. Stand on the pedals don't put all your body weight on the handlebar. Grip the bar firmly but don't put all your weight on the handlebar. Drop your heels. Stand on those pedals. Keep your elbows out and your head up. Progress slowly, don't get broken off before the ski season starts.
thanks so much man! super helpful stuff. theres so much crossover with skiing and especially with the car racing that i do. another way to enjoy the mountains and make some videos in the offseason!
You honestly look like you been riding at least a year or two now! Your progression is amazing, and I really think that getting a mullet enduro bike is definitely the play for your riding!! The slack of an enduro bike is a lot more pushed out then steep which makes it so much fun to hit drops and you know your able to because of the geometry of the bike!! Awesome video!! Hope to ride with you one day!🔥
thanks shane! i think thats what i liked about the enduro bike the most! just a bit more constructed for pointing it downhill. would love to get a mullet enduro bike at some point! lets shred dude!!
Lucas lit started shredding like 2 weeks ago and his progreseion is equal to an average year!in 1 month he'll be riding pro lines as if they were a walk i the park keep it up ! 🎉
Dropping back in to the comments to tell you that you inspired me yesterday. Rode the Copper Harbor Trail System in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Stuck the biggest features of my life and it was probably the best day I've ever on my bike. Keep those MTB videos coming man. I am excited to see your cinematography skills in the biking world. Thanks again!
Insane progression!! That first spot on T&S that you bailed on was a good move. If you send that inside drop with any speed you blow the corner and crash. Has gotten most of the people I ride with. You're also spot on with the awkward root line. You need to set up way outside and dive in. Super techy!!
Also Nomad would be a really awesome bike for you. I got one this year and it's everything I've wanted my old bikes to be. Santa Cruz is an awesome company!
thanks dude! wanted to send that drop but just didnt feel right. and man that makes sense but seems a little sketchy having to cross those roots kinda sideways haha and yeah dude! the nomad seems like a good move based on what i think ill ride. bummer its so expensive though haha
Great video. Now I am going to have to fly out and do some Mt biking !! We have a sweet downhill park but you have to pedal up. They do rent e-bikes though. Last year I got the Trek fuel 8 ex and I love it !! As I progress next year I am adding to the Just released Trek Slash 8 series. Getting the Entry level Trek 9 actually. That will be for mainly downhill at the parks. I would seriously check that bike out if you can. It’s a legit game changer and shaping up to be one of the baddest enduro bikes you can get! Killer review so far.
Jealous of that bike wash station! I ride at Trestle (Winter Park, CO), and they definitely don’t have one. My fingers are crossed for a 2024 LC bike park road trip 🤞! I’d watch that!
Just at that bridge drop: those guys should not have been lingering on the trail so slowly where they were. Not sure about in the US but in Australia we shout “rider” when we are approaching people on the trail, stopped on the side, or even catching up on someone. Hope that helps.
Many brands have bikes marked down a decent bit right now. Transition is running a sale on their Sentinel and Spire. Specialized has their Enduro Expert also on sale. Pretty much all brands offer something similar.
@@LucasCatania17 Fezzari (local consumer 2 direct Utah brand) has their La Sal Enduro on sale. About $1k less than an equivalent spec bike. You can pick it up directly from their factory.
On that tight turn, I would start out wide, then aim for the inside of the turn on the way down, then try and swing that rear tire out a little bit when it's in the air.
Lucas I'd always encourage a rookie to try hardtails. They are best for learning and developing skills, not to mention they are way more fun because you are one with the trail
@ark530abe it's all in the rider not the bike. A more aggressive bike won't help anyone learn if they can't learn the foundation or the "why" which is what hardtails are extremely good at. They force you to improve your line choice or not to case a jump otherwise there's actually consequence. I rip my hardtail at northstar bikepark once or twice a season. It's a blast.
Not a mountain biker, but if you look at the tracks from other riders, they hug super close to the tree trunk and take the inside line for that instead of going wide.
yeah youre exactly right! someone was showing me the line for that and thats what it is - which makes sense. just a traditional racing line really but its sketchy having to traverse the roots down at an angle haha
@@LucasCatania17 Music is fine, it just seems like tire sound is being filtered out by either the camera or you during editing...at least much more so than othe MTB RUclipsrs I watch.
damn, at 9:54 people stopping just after that bridge is worse than people who sit just on the crest of a hill, at least on the ski slopes you usually have a lot of room to turn and avoid, these mt bike traisl are narrow.
such a fun day out there and man, what a bike! the stoke elk of bikes!
on a side note, gonna try to get the videos a bit shorter haha
I got a Bronson it rips 🤙
Sick dude! Do you mostly ride parks or trail stuff?
The video length is awesome man! Stay blessed brother!

Thanks bro! Appreciate the encouragement. Hopefully it helps some people who might be at the early stages of skiing to draw some parallels!

That’s what I thought haha! Such a difference

Gonna try a full 29er today I think!

I just zip tied a GoPro buckle to the front of my helmet haha

So many great brands with better spec for half the price of santa cruz!
Sick! What brands/models you suggest similar to the nomad?
feeling sendy....to bad armada doesn't make bikes!
I know right that would be sick!
Starting to look like a proform racer oh yeah
Hahah wouldn’t go that far!
I think you need to take a more advanced lesson, it will really help .
Yah I agree!
Please dont ever explain what a mx bike is again everyone knows
There was a time where you didn’t know what one was.
It's self explanatory, so no that time never existed
Cmon out to the Truckee area and I’ll show you some sick spots!
that would be fun!
