I work on them Whwre I work they’re amazing to build brand new they come bare frame. The color is amazing this year thE VPP system takes some time to get used too but super fun playful bike
Fair play to Jordan for keeping up with DD if your a regular viewer of Nick aka vancan you know how well These guys shred on this stuff so Fairplay to Jordan shame Dave didn’t get that Stoppie that would’ve been absolutely sick if he landed that just shows you how skilled he is
I've got a 2022 Santa Cruz Nomad in Green, Fox 38 up front and love it so far! So sick watching Boostmaster himself on my steed. Big fan! So glad SC still has dope offerings with stock 27.5.
Nice video Jordan! Really liked you giving your honest impressions of the Nomad as well as an introduction to the Pros Closet - I’ll for sure check them out. Glad you got to ride with Dangerous Dave - he’s a legend here in Vancouver and a monster on the gnar that the Shore has to offer.
Nice to see you riding with DD. It looks like the more modern geometry and sizing was helpful in being more forgiving on line choice in that tech terrain.
Sweet, you hooked up with DD for a shred session! I thought that was him from the other vid. Awesome ring on the SC Nomad. I am sure with more saddle time, you were reach your desired level of comfort and tear through these tech trails.
I still have a 2015 model too and it’s still competitive over modern bikes. I have a dvo jade coil shock on it. I also have the 2016 and 2017 5010 which I like even more.
10:05 “I’d typically only be comfortably on that on a DH bike” This is funny to me because I do that kind of stuff on a hard tail that is falling apart and has a coil fork with 75mm of travel and will bottom out on a 1 foot huck to flat 😂🥲
That's my kind of trail, we have a few here in the South of Brazil and only the skilled guys can ride without putting a foot o the ground all the way long. Awesome Ride Jordan
I rode a rental Nomad at Bootleg Canyon in Vegas. The double blacks there are all jagged rocks, some sand and a few no fall zones. I came away really impressed, it was really composed. I ride an Evil Insurgent which seems to compare. But the Evil feels more playful even for a big bike. Probably because of the steeper front end. Both great bikes!
Super lucky. Those are very nice. Saw one in person the other day. Droolage. Ended up building a hardcore $5000 hardtail in the long run. But I’d definitely love a mega tower or nomad.
Would love to hear your thoughts on the bike a little more in depth! I also have a 2021 Nomad and have been having trouble with the shock tune. It would be a cool series to do with trying different bikes and giving your opinions. Great video as always, I enjoy these longer videos as well.
I've got the 2021 cc nomad I found when i put 3 volume spacers in the x2 air it transformed the ride Made it feel a lot more poppy instead of just ploughing thought everything Hope this helps man
3.5 tokens in my super deluxe shock. Feels perfect. Gnar dog 2.5 Token plus one extra token. Oh and double down tyres to mute the small vibrations. Bike feels mint up and downhill.
Neither weight or oval chainrings make that much difference to pedalling IMO, it's most likely SC's kinematics, they've designed the suspension to be much more pedal friendly. Long travel rigs pedal so well these days.
That trail system is so sick, I don't know how you guys ride that stuff. What sadistic bastard built that anyway? Lol. I'm a big Santa Cruz fan, was a dealer for many years and have ridden most of their bikes. Always liked the way they handled.
Imo what you felt were the tires (Vittoria's roll quicker than a comparable maxxis etc., since they have a hard rubber carcass as support for the soft rubber over moulding) and the oval chainring, the chainring in particular makes harder/ steeper trails much easier to push through, at least that's my experience, haven't felt it when using one, but definitely felt it was harder to go up when switched back to round, felt it it my knees too.
The smaller sizing definetly makes more sense on those trails, so slow and technical, you definetly wanna throw around the bike more with some endos and stuff.
Debated between the Nomad and Mach 6 ... That oxblood Nomad is still my favorite looking bike, but in 2020 Santa Cruz gave me a delivery date of "possibly 9-12 months" so I opted for the Mach 6. Sickest bike I've ever owned and couldn't be happier, though I'm sure I'd say the same thing about the Nomad. Never thought I'd get a Pivot, but aside from online retailers and a few brands, their prices are similar to most.
Probably the best bike I've ever had! My tallboy climbs better but is no more agile. The megatower that preceded it was a faster tank, but what do you expect us who don't wear bibs to do with all that speed...
you'd be surprised how much bigger bikes make a tech trail easier. I would like to see how you would compare a large size enduro 29er to your transition patrol
Same. I went with the large as well. I think it depends on how much you like to hit big stuff versus playing in the tighter sections. Trails like Lower Ladies I think will be easier on some of that tight jank with the smaller frame to help navigate.
The nomad is a sweet bike I was looking to get one but I rode both the nomad and a dreadnought but found for my riding style the dreadnought was way better Santa Cruz is awesome tho
Cela m"a l air un bon Nomad Jordan faudrait augmenter l intensité du ride pour voir ce qu il vaut en terrain bike park avec des drop etc... il est pas mal au premier abords
Problem is if you ride with others it gets to the point where the trails they want to ride for fun start to get pretty insane on a hard tail. You are always going to be the slowest on the downhills and be sitting by yourself at the top of the climbs. I finally decided to join them.
Honestly I am not sure it makes a difference. You don't even notice it for better or worse. I think the limiting factor is your legs only output so much power. If you put in more on one part of the stroke you get less on the other and in 99.99% of riding it isn't an issue of getting that ever so slight bit of more speed over a 1/4 pedal stroke that matters. It is more about the 2 or 3 full strokes leading up that prepare your momentum for difficult tech uphill. If it came on my bike I wouldn't change it, if I found one on sale for cheaper than a regular ring I would ride it. If I had to pay more not going to happen. Even people who ask to ride the bike with it don't even know it is an oval till I mention it.
Who here owns a Santa Cruz Nomad and loves it?
Just picked mine up in Oxblood for park riding. Don’t miss my V10…..yet
i got a xo1 2021 nomad and i love it
i do! favourite bike ever and the coolest colour as well
I love my Bronson. “Baby nomad”
I work on them Whwre I work they’re amazing to build brand new they come bare frame. The color is amazing this year thE VPP system takes some time to get used too but super fun playful bike
Nice to finally ride with you Jordan! Can't wait to get out again.
definitely man!
You guys both make really awesome videos keep it up!
as a nomad owner this makes me very happy
Dangerous Dave and the McSight! Nice to see you two dudes riding the shore together!
Fair play to Jordan for keeping up with DD if your a regular viewer of Nick aka vancan you know how well These guys shred on this stuff so Fairplay to Jordan shame Dave didn’t get that Stoppie that would’ve been absolutely sick if he landed that just shows you how skilled he is
the colors go soo good on this bike. This looks so sick to ride!!
I have the oxblood one and it's so sweet
@@HeyBaumeister i sawed your bike and i love the colors. they just look too good with the bike

Yea, F 29s, although mullets are kinda sick
You just gotta love the colours of thst bike the green and the pink just match so good
ya it looks sweet!
It’s currently hailing it’s a frickn storm but I get snuggle up under my blankets and watch some awesome boostmaster content
I’ve never laughed at a biking video but “some of the jankiest jank I have ever janked“ got me
Of course Dangerous Dave knows the Boostmaster. Everybody knows the Boostmaster!
DD makes it look effortless.

the jankiest jank i have ever janked has to be one of the best sayings on this channel :)
haha :)
You are luckiest person that I know of , enjoy riding bikes and your really good
Nice Jordan, going out with Dangerous puts perspective on the jank and some peer pressure to top it off! 🤘🏼🤩
I've always been a fan of the Nomad, and it's super cool to see you riding with Dangerous Dave. Love his content as well.
Probably one of my favorite colors on a bike
Yo counter is off the charts. Haha
Nice to see you riding with DD. It looks like the more modern geometry and sizing was helpful in being more forgiving on line choice in that tech terrain.
Gnarly AF trails! Been watching Dave's channel, so awesome to see you both in a vid. 🤘
I really like my Nomad for the rough stuff in the NC mountains
Jordan Chunkmaster 🤘
My dream bike, man that bike is so gorgeous damn... Big travell, looks awesome, climbs well and 27.5... nowadays everyone is on 29" for some reason...
This vid was pretty helpful and I’m the same size as JordanBoostmaster so it’s nice what bike to pick and what bike not to pick, keep up the good work
Sick video 🤩🤘🔥 Good to see you shredding with DD 💪
When ist raw comming?
Awesome run, you and Dave are sick🤘🏽
it's live now!
Sweet, you hooked up with DD for a shred session! I thought that was him from the other vid. Awesome ring on the SC Nomad. I am sure with more saddle time, you were reach your desired level of comfort and tear through these tech trails.
First time in a while I watched the whole video. Sick vid🤘
Sick bike!
I’m a huge fan of vittoria tires now. Coming from maxxis. I definitely recommend you getting some on your other bikes.
That nomad is made for you haha. Seems like the perfect size and ride
I own this bike (oxblood) and seeing you demo this bike made my day
First time I saw DDave's face
Good to know stuff for people in Canada ordering the duty and fees will come about 2-3 weeks after account for a extra 500 :)
dream bike!!! i ride the 2015 nomad and its sooo good. In my opinion it rides better then some never bikes

Looks like fun I'm to old for that kind of riding 😂
The bike looks great!
Hey Jordan, you should test ride the new giant trance x 27.5, it suits your riding style just in a bit of a shorter travel bike
this is some insane riding. wow.

Super nice color grading and cool riding.

Awesome collab! You guys should make more videos!
the video was posted 55min ago how does this video only have 15 well now 16 comments this is boostmaster it shouldve been viral already
Super lucky.

I have a Nomad. I was previously on training wheels but went from n00b to pro on this bike in under a week.
Sick!! 🔥🔥
Sickk video. You guys crushed it!
I love that bike !!!
Wow! sick buddy.
this track is crazy and a lot of fun.
congratulations for the video, subscribed channel.
11:21 nearly the end of a fox 38
I was totally eyeing that bike on Pros Closet lol decided to go with a YT Capra instead though! Dope bike Jordon congrats🤙🏼

yay, a boostmaster video!
such a badass bike
You need to give it more time to adapt to longer reach and appreciate the longer wheelbase.
Bro the wheel set sounds like the ahhhhhh
You need to trie the propain spindrift mx in medium it’s a fricking blast to ride
Sick! You should try riding Santa Cruz
Yay boost master video
Just did a review on the Vittoria Mazzas on my channel - running them on my Ripmo V2 - definitely happy with them so far

That bike looks sick, I really wanted to get one at some point but obviously the price put me off a bit.
Anyways, great vid as always.
Can't help but feel like smaller wheels would work better in those wood rollers. big wheels just smack into the tight radius curves
yes that is true!
Cool
as a 5.10 rider, i ride a yt capra size l, and want to size up to an xl, rode a nomad in l size, very good bike, playfull, consider sizing up!

Thats's more like 7.5-8/10 rating for all the scratched and dints, but nice bike overall
Wow
How did you like the Fox 38 factory's? I find them too good for my ability haha, mine are 180mm on 27.5
Dangerous Dave's Norco model?? Sight?
Damn i would love to have a Nomad. Its just too expensive

Yeah still rocking a hardtail
