The iPhone 6 to me felt like an enhanced 5S but it definitely got the job done for me. It also was great having an option for more memory with 32 GB compared to 16 that I had before on the 4 and 5S. I owned the 6 for 2 1/2 years until I’ve had my 8 Plus since July 2020
My first iPhone. Now also its working super fine. Haven't changed anything till now. I love small phones. That too whenever i compare them with 6.1, 6.4, 6.7 screens..
This thing came out about 9 years ago. I was 43 at the time, now I'm 52. I always find it funny how young people define "old". I don't feel any different than 2014. To me, nothing that came out in 2014 is old or vintage. It's amusing how 'perceptions' have changed over the years. When you're young, time seems to stand still, I envy young people. 😉

i definitely think that the iPhone 6 is a fine phone to use when it comes to light tasks like texting, and social media despite being slower than most iPhones in 2023, but it’s definitely not a good idea to buy one right now. im not that choosy when it comes to having a phone. i have a 64GB iPhone 6 Plus that still looks brand spankin new, my mom will upgrade to an iPhone 14 Pro Max this year and will hand her iPhone Xs down to me. i hope that Xs will last me 5 years lmao. 😌

are you sure? facebook requires iOS 13.4 or later to operate and youtube requires iOS 14 or later to operate. Basically the iPhone 6 is useless now. And the fact I actually have to punch my iPhone 6 to charge 🤦🏻
@@daineramosquitco5816 I have a 6+ and its literally as good as my 13 in majority of my tasks besides photo quality and tiny, fun quirks. I’m typing this on my 13 right now, the difference is extremely small. I can download Apex Legends on this and not the 6+ because it’s on the newest iOS whereas the 6+ is way behind but that’s it. Even though apps like google classroom don’t support phones that old the 6+ can still download an older version. 6+ is a great phone, just not futureproofed.
@@daineramosquitco5816 The old version of the apps still work. You don’t need the updates. Facebook on my iPhone 6 is literally the same thing as Facebook on my IPhone SE 3. Same with RUclips or any other apps. Developers are just lazy and drop support for older phones too soon. But I’d say at least 50% of the apps I have still support the iPhone 6 with the latest version of the app.
I still have one and took it out of the box put my Sim in and i had not used it super long. The original battery health is still at 100% it can do basic games and apps. Facebook works on a previous version. Snapchat is so so. Tested it the other day for the day and you certainly can get by with it.
This phone was legendary I know so many people who kept it for at least 4-6 years before upgrading.
I still have it since 2014
I use it to just watch RUclips so i have no reason to upgrade haha
@@shepard4245 yeah unless you’re gaming heavy on your phone there’s no reason to upgrade, new phones are a scam when yours works perfectly fine

I used my iPhone 6 until 2017 and upgraded to iPhone 8. it worked very well. I still have it, though I don't use it. It still works, was able to get it upgraded to iOS 12.5.7 before all was said and done. I think it would still make for a decent phone (for talking or texting only), and as an iPod. Running high-powered apps is probably something it will not do.
I sold iPhone 6 space gray with 16GB memory, 5 days ago. It's not bad phone, If you use for texting, watch youtube videos, surfing the internet. I refurbished that phone, and works fine. Change battery, camera, clean charging port.. My new phone is good to me. I use phone for texting, reading and call. POV is, iPhone 6 is not bad, If you have a 64GB or more, to do update for social media, and other stuff. The disadvantage of this iPhone is that battery capacity of 1810mAh.

It’ll probs last the next 3-4 years depending on the changes of iOS every year but you shouldn’t worry yet as the 11 is pretty much in a comfortable spot right now.
I still use my iPhone 6 in 2023 as I haven’t upgraded in 4 years but this phone is great and the battery health of my phone is really good. Though app support is a huge problem for me as Amazon for example doesn’t let me use their app anymore. I’m thinking to maybe consider getting an SE 3 as I do like the current form factor I’m using.

@@MJsTechWorld Yeah it’s been a very great phone for me and I will miss it whenever I do decide to upgrade as the SE 3 doesn’t have the headphone jack.
@@emilsecker7881 I wouldn’t call the phone “Shit.” The phone has done me a very good job and considering I used it unsupported for 4 years it still gave me joy like what a new iPhone did. It also had a headphone Jack which was very useful. It’s only now I’m experiencing problems with it which is standard because it’s a nearly decade old phone.
I still miss the physical home button on iPhone 6s. I also miss it on the new iPads. I didn’t like the haptic button on iPhone 7 and later.

Unless you have a iCloud account already with all your favorite apps or are willing to jailbreak I would not recommend it to anyone because your going to struggle using the phone nowadays without old account/jailbreak

I used an iPhone 6 as my secondary device last year, it was able to run all my day to day apps fine with no compatibility issues etc. my main phone that I had last year was an XR and now I’m currently using a 12 Pro Max. My iPhone 6 broke and I’ve lost my XR
I have an iPhone 6 64GB and iPhone 6 Plus 16GB, the iPhone 6 Plus with only 16GB storage is defenitely unusable, there's not much room for anything. The iPhone 6 with 64GB storage however has lots of space left for music, movies, apps, games, etc. Bear in mind battery isn't great; but good enough for moderate use throughout the day. Both my iPhone 6 and 6 Plus have 90 percent battery health.
And they’re all unusable. Time to upgrade

I upgraded because it stopped working because I think it got water damaged and it just turned on when I plugged it in and it’s showing plug into iTunes lol. I’m downloading iTunes on my dad computer cause I only have an iPad Pro lol

One of the most sold Iphones ever, became one of the First apple devices that had a Larger base well apart form the regulae version 6s plus was the first Iphone to be as a big phone inthe apple lineup.
I had the 64 GB iPhone 6 I bought it 2015 and still have. Is it fast - yes. Can you make calls on it yes. Should you buy one - well the thing came out like nearly ten years ago so no but you can get a iPhone 11 or iPhone 10 and you should be alright
The 6 was nice with a different form factor one which is embodied on the iPhone 10 the seven and the Eight then the iPhone 11-15 they switched bac to the similar form factor of Square Sides as well as the components of it which are kind of like how the iPhone 4 4s 5 and 5s were it’s nice

Hey, did you notice this when making the review? It's about iPhone 13 mini (and probably iPhone 13 too) camera. It can't focus on close subjects! What it weird about it, 12 mini doesn't have this problem. I called Apple care and they literally said that hopefully someone would make this viral because they probably made this deliberately. I personally using iphone 6 and for me it is good enough for just calling and WhatsApp use only in 2023
And I would recommend not to buy iPhone 6 in 2023 if you are getting it for free then go for it otherwise upgrade to such iPhones like SE 2020 , X , 11

To be honest, the support that iPhone 6 and 6s lineups got the best support out of all the phones out there, especially the 6s.
The phone that makes me sad though is how early they cut the support on iPhone 7 models… They could’ve at least supported it with the iOS 16 but they chose not to and now, iPhone 8 are now on the verge of getting unsupported, just one iOS version away from the 7…
Rumors are circulating that iOS 17 may be a bug fix update so I’m pretty sure the iPhone 8 will get iOS 17. But either way just because you can’t get the latest features doesn’t mean you can’t download apps and use the phone like normal and you’ll still get security updates from Apple on iOS 15 even iOS 12 devices.

IPhone 6 is my least favorite phone becuz the phone can be easily bent it only got 4 years of software updates but thank god I bought the iPhone 7 is doesn't bend as easily like iPhone 6 and it lasted atleast 5 years of software updates

Apple bricked it themselves, I have a hand me down 6 and since it isn’t the S version it “can’t” download RUclips or any email app. Or any iOS past 12. I’m typing this RUclips comment from my phone that can’t access RUclips while watching the video ON THE PHONE. I went from thinking I’d give apple a second chance to refusing to buy anything they make, the planned obsolescence is real! I’m jailbreaking it out of spite and getting a Samsung when I can afford it
