I always dreamed of having the first iPhone when it initially released. Years down the road I ended up getting this. Best first iPhone I owned!!
this was the first phone I ever had when I was 9. My dad gave it to me and I've loved it ever since . It was very cute and sturdy , pretty much was my baby, had it for 3 years. It always has a place in my heart
My phones so far: A few cheap 7/11 Tracfhones (mostly to talk to parents/family) ->Samsung Gravity 2 -> LG Optimus Elite (first smartphone!) -> Iphone 4s -> Galaxy S6 -> S8 -> S20
I feel like modern phones just are not innovative anymore aside from the Fold series. There was nothing like the feeling of upgrading to a new phone as a kid aside from a new game console.
To be honest, this iPhone looks pretty cool to this day. It's a very good historical phone for what it is as it came out in 2011. However, this phone got ULTRA-infamous because of it running ios 9, which made it very very slow. The good thing is, is that it's still supported by some apps and it sometimes gets the job done. Not to mention that it introduces Siri! However, obviously don't buy it as your daily driver, unless you live "simple" and you want a rather ancient phone, then go ahead. Be aware of the charging port though, as it's completely outdated.
The competitors at the time were so behind. The Voyager, the Dare, the first Droid. I had the latter. The iphone looked futuristic, but this was all metal. It was polished. It was designed so you could touch all four corners of the screen with one hand and everyone could. When Verizon finally got the iphone i got this on launch. So excited. You used to get a new phone every two years. This one you wanted to keep nice…and naturally the back glass shattered easier than any phone ever, but it looked nice for a little while.
I love the 4s. Not sure why but the white one particularly looks cool man. I bought a cheap one a few years back just to have one
iPhone 4S 64gb unlocked white was my 1st & favorite I got myself in October 2011. I still have it. A true diehard. On Verizon & up untill only last year did it work on thie 3G.
FaceTime was a 1st in the 4 as Wi-Fi only but S brought FaceTtime over 3G and later That was a big deal for us on Verizon especially & 2010 was the 1st year Verizon offered iphone w/ the 4. 6S Plus - 13 Pro Max had similar 12mp sensor with only changes in firmware & features. I loved mostly everything about it new but the battery RUclips vlogging was in & you absolutely needed a battery bank then until the so loved Apple Smart Battery Case.

Yes! I got the 4s in the summer of 2012 and it was my first smartphone. Good times back then! Felt so fancy when I first got this phone haha
I am going to correct you there. The latest IOS version on the 4S is 9.3.6. The reason why it’s on that is because of a security update.
There’s a electronic store in my city that sells a iPhone 4s black 32bg for $70 it’s legit and brand new still in box never opened. I think I can probably lowball to 55-60 ish. What y’all think is it worth it buying ?

Nothing was better than the iPhone 6/6s they were lightweight , thin, and beautiful screen . Easy on the hands

I love small phone. You can put it in your pocket every single day without afraid lost it. Meanwhile, I use iPhone 12 pro. I rarely put it in my pocket, when I'm working. I always put my IPhone 12 pro in my backpack because it was too big to put my IPhone pro in my pocket. It's very inconvenience sometimes.

I still have an iPhone 4s, but I did manage to downgrade it to iOS 6.1.3. I really like the design, however it's too bad that I can't use it with most carriers now a days.

This was the first iPhone I ever bought, bought it brand new in spring of 2012. Before that all you saw were blackberrys, flip phones and the iPhone 3G which was plastic. Everyone who saw me with this said how nice of a phone that was. Feel bad that I sold it back then.
Recently bought this but ofcourse, it's secondhand and most likely refurbished but I'm fine by that. I just want a cheap one that can still do basic tasks. I'll be using it mainly as a back up. Besides that, I kinda have a facinantion with old phones. I don't collect them cause let's face it, some old phone's hardware are not that great over time. I don't even wanna touch some of them becuase of it's case.
Does it support running WhatsApp or Messenger?

Idgaf about the history of iphones, I'm planing to buy a bundle sale that has an oppo a37 and Iphone 4s in it and wondering if the iphone was gonna be useful to me, who has never used an iphone before. I have a latest android phone and an old iphone 6 that i mainly use as an ereader. What I'm saying is this is not worth it and can be treated as a disposable phone for the price it's being sold currently.

Happy to report RUclips runs fine on an old version of chrome. Had an iPad mini 1 with same chipset and memory as the 4s and it ran great.

A great phone. I kept my perfect condition black 4S but sadly it cannot get apps in 2024 but it is a beautiful paperweight.
