For the longest of time I never had anybody who would give me the right tips for the keys. So, thanks for being the guy who opened my eyes on the importance of scales and the fundamentals of the piano. God bless 🙏🏾❤️
Leon Lacey - and he orchestrates real strings, ensembles too I like to use expression pedal for some dynamics and a low pass filter assigned to a knob to change tone/timbre in different sections/moments of a song.
I know he’s not gospel but someone who is heavily slept on is the great Clare Fischer. His arrangements are unearthly... Everyone from Prince, Stevie Wonder to Mint Condition called him in to add his sauce to their project. You got to check out his orchestral projects. 👍🏾
Thanks Sean! Check out the arrangement of Blest Be by Thomas Whitfield on the Still Recording a beautiful example of strings and orchestra arrangement!
I am very néw to this. Man I am in love with the string sections of matt Johnson orchestra (I listened to it after watching this video).. Can some one pls give me a list of artists who's done great string arrangements in their songs.. Or list of songs also will do. Please help me out😊
But that's the keyboard I was asking you about Sean!! Luckily my wife bought it for me as a wedding anniversary gift! :) Fantastic video as always BTW!
Im recoeding a few albums of original songs. Id love some assistance on adding the steings to the piano tracks. Does anyone have.anyone to recommend I hire? Rhanks
@@praisewilliams8413 I thought I mentioned that in the vid, maybe I cut it out, combine a string that has a short attack: like Quartet Strings with long attack: like the "Romantic" or "Background"--- i would heavily adjust your volume down, otherwise it'll drown out the quartet strings and you won't catch the various timbres in the mix
@@SeanWilsonPiano Very Very nice. I just tried this technique on Symphony Essentials String Ensemble and WOW... Makes such a huge different. Thank you for this lesson
wow amazing. Sean you definitely got to listen to the talk music and solo in the first 5 minutes of this video ruclips.net/video/PBf9RuoVTGU/видео.html . Its some South African Zulu worship but the guy on keys is killing that solo and wow.
Thanks Sean for this tutorial. But I would like one day you could work on this video in this link ruclips.net/video/J3bqnYiuTgQ/видео.html. Each pianist has played a different progression. And the one that seems impossible to me is between 14:37 min to 16:54 more particularly from 16:32 to 16:34. I would like you to work on all of the progressions that are in this video. I am waiting for you Sean. Thank you
May God bless you and your family dear lovely brother ,,, I love you 💕 in Christ Jesus ❤️❤️ love from India....Thanking God for your hard work and talent, which has given to you 😊
The strings at the end,, Wow💯😭
Yeah 14:20... insane, my favorite song too

@Warren Roberts I've the blue one. It's the same board, the only difference is the colour:)
Hi! Are you using a sustain pedal or just trying to keep moving as few notes as possible between the chord changes!?
Great video, thanks!
Move as few notes as possible
@@SeanWilsonPiano Thanks man! Is the sustain used sometimes or it’s better to avoid it!?
Practice without it... use sparingly live with strings
Wooo sounds good string 🤗
I seen that video OMG🔥🔥🔥💯💯
Yeah bro!!
Listen to terry macalmon...the song this is the time ...has good strings onthe chorus part

Do you know what's it really called when you hold the note on the keyboard when playing the strings I could find the answer on Google
Also, I know it's secular, but the way Babyface incorporates his strings is so well balanced.
Yeah it the supports the track so well
Music is..music.
Isnt it?
Donnie McClurkin had nice strings in the earlier albums
For sure, the "Journey Live" one too

Nice Job! You do work for hire?
Hi Sean, what a software do you use to display the midi Information as score on the screen? Thank you!
I use Chordie App
@@SeanWilsonPiano Thank You!
Does anyone know of any popular songs that are recorded with strings only?

What board can we find the hybrid warm string doc
that's Omnisphere, its computer sounds
@@SeanWilsonPiano thanks doc..... Can you help with the string patches you’ll normally layer on a motif board🙏
