Robin H I'm in the same boat. What I find is that either a
video will have interesting eye shadow techniques but won't explain well, or the eyeshadow techniques bad/unoriginal and they just hide it behind false lashes...

Holy shit, this is so educational and straightforward. This is still high quality for anything on RUclips, let alone relative to its time. I have been watching make up videos for 3 years and I have learn but with this video I think I' ve learned more than than with any other videos. This was the "missing link" for me to understand the mixing of the colors and the different types of doing it. Very informative, thank you, you are the best.

Thank you so much Marlena for doing this tutorial. I instantly feel I have a better grasp on eyeshadow makeup after watching this. This whole time I've been usingb only 3. Using a light for under the brows medium for crease or lid and then a darker for the outer corner. I'm not very artistic and watching your videos on makeup helps me because I can watch you and (try) apply the eyeshadows. :) Very helpful. HUGS!

I learned so much from makeupgeek! I started watching about 2 years ago and went from "normal" makeup looks to more experienced looks! She describes what to look for not in brand but in color, which makes sense! Although I have to say I have the makeupgeek eye shadows and love them! :P

I absolutely love and adore you. This is like the 3rd video of yours I've watched today and I feel like I FINALLY know what the hell I'm doing with makeup! I can draw on paper with shading and color, but I never felt confident with makeup. I feel like I've just faked it good enough that I didn't look like a damn fool or clown. After having my son I lost my way as far as who I was as a woman and not only a mother. I recently decided to embrace the full person that I am now that my son is older and I have the mental space to think, feel and be. As a part of my #SelfCare2017 #TreatYoself project I have decided to dive back in to makeup. I and about to go BANANAS on Makeup Geek and get all the eyeshadows and brushes! I'm so damn excided!!!!!!
