Imagine that, I have lots of hanger tape (animated snakes) and lightweight spackle ( rat-in-a-cake). Another awesome tutorial!! I enjoy your tutorials because they’re not only super easy to follow and detailed, but spooky not gory. Things I can build with my grandson that will fascinate him not scare him.
Oh Dana, the first part of your comment made me laugh out loud and the second part made me tear up. I am so thrilled that you can spend time with your grandson working on these props and seeing in his eyes the world of possibilities that open when your imagination is unleashed. Thanks for your comment!
I love Plumbers tape and screws for Rigging Halloween Props...It's a metal Duct Tape!
Wow that's a lot of stuff needed.......
This prop really has a Disney vibe to it! Cool!
Thanks Sherri, that is a great compliment!
Spectacular tutorial. The hits keep coming. Ingenious solution for the return mechanism.
I will be adapting your idea with using an arduino and stepper motor.
Hi Michael, sometimes the simplest solution is the best. Thanks for watching and for commenting.
This channel is a gem. Brilliant build and tutorial.
Wow Michael, what a wonderful thing to say. Thanks!
Lol this just popped up on my feed. Still one of my fav videos.
Halfway to Halloween. I’m reminding all my favorite channels that we haven’t forgot about them! Hope you are able to make some videos this year.
Thanks Car Guy> Yes, I have a few in the works. Thanks so much for keeping in touch, what a great thing to do!
Beautifully done.
Thank you I appreciate the nice comment.
Woot! My favorite channel finally uploads a new video!
Thanks Halloween Heathen, I really appreciate you being a fan of the channel. Covid, heat, smoke & supply shortages certainly curtailed my video production this year. Ugh!
Always a pleasure to see 1 of these videos
Hi Everfree, I am so glad that you enjoy my videos. Thanks for taking the time to watch them and to leave a comment.
I could really SEE myself doing this project... 🤪
Hi A Car Guy. If you do give it a try, I would love to see how it turns out. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
I SEE that too 👀
Yes, been waiting!!! Love his videos.
Thanks wrllovemen, sorry for the wait ... I'll blame it on 2020!
Haha. 👍🏻
Awesome tutorial, thanks!
Thanks for the compliment Xtreme Science, it is greatly appreciated. My apologies for not seeing this sooner in order to reply in a more timely manner.
Great tutorial!! I can SEE many ways to use those moving eyes! 👀👀
Hi Kerri, hopefully I sparked your imagination. Thanks for watching and for the comment.
Excellent as usual
Thanks Pat and thanks also for being a subscriber.
Another brilliant video. Great job!
Thanks Derek, coming from you that means a great deal.
I mean , can't be any more detailed. This is a clinic on how to do " how to " videos
Hi Howard. Thanks for the very nice compliment, as the saying goes "God is in the details". I have heard it said the other way, but I prefer this one. Thanks also for being a subscriber.
I have all the materials and am starting the build, I am a HUGE fan, best tutorials I have ever seen. I will be making a modification to the wording and width of the sign, my sign will have "Beware of spooky Pumpkins" this is due to being sensitive to the word spooks. I am normally not a politicly correct person but it can be misconstrued to be racist. The theme to my haunt is pumpkins and that will work out perfectly.
If anyone wants the supply list and links to sourcing them I have them and am willing to share. Drop me a line, Happy Halloween 2022 all!
Thanks for being a fan Joe! I had no idea about the word spook, I'm on the west coast so perhaps it is a regional thing. Just the same, thanks for your support by watching and commenting. Send a photo of your finished prop if you can.
@@HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms I just finished setting up for this season, Love to share some pictures and video. Let me know how to send them. I just posted a quick video on my Chanel.
Will week it and re post with pictures of the new sign.
Thank you so very much for inspiring me!
I'm a huge fan.

Really loved this project.
Thanks ochun57, I'm glad that you like it.
Your channel is fantastic, I love that you focus on spooky ambiance and more lighthearted things instead of blood and gore, I can’t wait to see what happens in 2021!
Thanks Chance for the kind compliment! Look for the 2021 prop videos to start rolling out in a month or so ... well, fingers crossed!
@@HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms Can’t wait to see it! Happy haunting!

What a great build, I will be looking forward to making this with my grandson makes Halloween more special
Many thanks 🤝
Thanks Marion, that warms my heart! Halloween should be fun and family friendly. A time for family members to get together with fun & spooky projects for the neighbors to enjoy and appreciate. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Another great Halloween prop - perfect sign for the entrance of your holiday haunts. As always wonderful detail in the how to build directions. I also appreciate the safety tip around the hole saw bit and that it gets hot. Another prefect video both creative and instructional. Happy Halloween!
Hey Arlen, I always appreciate your thoughtful comments!
Oh my gosh, that is so cute. I can’t stress enough how amazing I think you are as well as talented. Love everything you make. God bless you 🙏🤗❤️
Hi Jane. Thanks for the nice compliment and for watching, it is greatly appreciated.

WOOT!!! New video 🎃
Thanks Daniel, I deeply appreciate your enthusiasm!
Nicely done, as usual! It's always interesting to see how you engineer these props.
Thanks Jasper, Im glad that you find them interesting. Thanks for watching.
Your prop building videos are awesome! Your instructions are clear and concise. Your video and audio quality is excellent. Thanks for taking the all the time and energy required to make such outstanding productions. Also really appreciate the tools and materials list. On a personal note I have been really discouraged this year for multiple reasons and we made the decision to Go Dark due to many factors. Watching your videos provide a lift to my spirits. Thanks for the inspiration. Wish you all the best.
Hi Joe. Yes, this year has been especially trying ... on multiple fronts. I was not able to produce as many How-To videos this years for those very reasons. Here is hoping for a better 2021. Just the same, thank you so much for watching and for your extremely kind and thoughtful comments, they gave my spirits a lift!
Your videos are the best produced Halloween how-to's on RUclips. Keep up the good work Paul!
Hi Ryan, what a great thing to say. Thanks for watching and commenting, it is really appreciated.
I loVe tHis gUy 👀 !!
I absolutely love everything you do, it’s just pure spooky Halloween fun! And your videos are so professional, whimsical, and entertaining at the same time! Just brilliant! Thank you for sharing your amazing creations! Happy haunting!!🎃👻💀😄👍
Such a wonderful comment Grimwood Hollow! I always strive for the fun and family friendly aspects of Halloween, thanks for noticing.
Hey, just wanted to say thanks for all 3 of these cool videos this Halloween season.
Thanks Car Guy, hopefully next season there will be a few more than three produced,
❤️ ❤️ ❤️!👻
Thanks Stacy.
I LOVE this channel!!
Thanks for being a loyal fan of this channel Maggie Sue, it is greatly appreciated.
Wow, such a large supply list. :-)
It's worth it. Thanks for watching Darin.
Wonderful video!
Thanks SD WA, glad you like. Thanks also for watching and leaving a comment.
Great video, so creative! + Wizard of Oz rules!
Morticia
Thanks JekyllHydeClub, it sure does and thanks for watching and commenting.
Have you tried this without the counter weight. The deer motor should be able to handle the eyes without it.
Paul...you did it again, an absolutely awesome video. I know that with your tutorials I can accomplish the mechanical aspects of these props, where I get myself in trouble is the decorating or the artwork. You nail the faux wood grain look and the lettering, when I try that kind of stuff, the comment usually is "That's close enough, it will be dark and the black light will make it look good enough." Thanks again, these new videos make my day.
Hi Steb, comments like yours make my day. As they say with the artwork and decorating "Practice Makes Perfect", however there is something magical that happens when the lights go off and the blacklight comes on. Darkness helps the work of us Haunters to take on a special look and feel.
Best wood tool I ever found was a brush I forgot to clean thoroughly after paper maching. I tried to pull the hairs apart, but it was a lost cause. The solid hairs make great wood grains.
@@jendubay3782 I'll try that, I have also been told that there is a "Wood grain tool" that is meant to make it easy to make faux wood grain.
I really miss your how to's Paul
I only have the ability to work on them seasonally but rest assured, I have some in the works for this 2021season. Thanks CFAO for your interest and support.
@@HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms can't wait!
love this video! I am working up a design to do a few signs with some of your techniques but wanted to share a tip if I may... use the florescent puffy paint as well for ultra thin lines that glow like mad on a dark surface... keep the bottle stored on its tip (keeps air bubbles to a minimum) and the tip on the surface when you use it.
WOW, that is a great tip, I will have to give it a try. Thanks Nathanderthal for sharing the tip and also for watching and taking the time to leave a comment.
.... let me know what you think... there has to be other peeps using it for thin bright lines... I am not finding them... but I can't be the first to try it and have success.
its time for some new tutorials!!
Soon, very soon. ruclips.net/video/8ttdYt2KQeg/видео.html
Instead of string, you could have used a rigid arm to move the eyes.
Yes, that is a great alternative. I always like it when viewers customize my props ideas to make them their own. Thanks for watching and for commenting.
Love this I am not seeing where I can purchase this motor not sure what my search should say.
Thanks for your awesome upload and thanks in advance for where I could get this little motor.
Thanks
Hi Michelle! The link for the motor is in the video's description, here it is: www.frightprops.com/electric-motors/motors/fixed-speed-110v-ac-5rpm-deer-motor.html Thanks for watching and for taking the time to leave a comment and ask a question.
@@HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms thanks ideas for next years halloween.
Great video where do you get the motor
Great job Paul! May I steal this idea?
Please do CFAO, they are meant to inspire and motivate others to give making your own animated Halloween props a try.
Do you seal the sign with any clear coat? Is there a finish that doesn't affect the black light paint?
Hi Grant. Since the blacklight paints are acrylic and should hold up to outside conditions, I did not apply a clear coat. If you feel that a clear coat would be a good idea for your use, I would first test a clear polyurethane (spary or brush on) over the black light paints that you use, on a test sample. I would be curious to know if a clear coat changes the blacklight effect in anyway. Thanks for asking.
I did a clear coat over my project, and it did not affect the black light effect at all.
This is dope!
Thanks Preachie, I'm glad that you liked it.
@@HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms bro i didn’t like it, I loved it!
I only have 2-star ping pong balls. What do I do?
2 star ping-pong balls will work, they are just more fragile. Be careful when drilling them since they are more apt to tear, giving you irregular holes. Thanks for asking Nick.
OK, but by the time I buy the smallest packs of everything, and the gas to go to three different stores, this thing is gonna cost me over $50!
Yes, but when all is said and done you can stand back and say "I made that!" Just the same, thanks LobsterMan for watching and commenting.
Yeah great... New video.... Boo 18 century imperial measurements lol
Hey Matt, sorry for the measurement conversion hassle for you, but very glad that you are enjoying the videos.
@@HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms no worries with the conversion. I work in the trade so standard practice to use 4x2 4.8m long etc lol. Just long winded using 3/8 instead of 9mm. Metric is definitely better 👍
Poor word choice sounds racist to me
