    I’ll likely never make a prop that complicated, but I had to tell you how very enjoyable it was watching you create this amazing prop! You do a wonderful job of showing each step. I feel like so many videos go too slow or worse too fast. If I was physically able, I think you put together the perfect tutorial to create this little gem of a prop!

    I’d love to see a how to for doing floating instruments, chairs, and objects like the haunted mansion. They move up and down and some in a circle? It looks random but they must just have a simple motor and a black light reactive paint.

Since I have a graveyard scene, I will figure a way to adapt this build to a tombstone or maybe a corpsed skeleton. NO... it's a *NEW* and glorious video that only you can make 😁 This year the pandemic makes it so uncertain... I'm not to sure how I'm going to set up - maybe more as a yard and/or garage display instead of a garage walk-thru? But I'm doing something!!! And that reminds me... I made a prop similar to this for my phantom manor haunt last year, I made a 3 tier rotten wedding cake with Spanish moss as mold and bugs and rats picking away at the sides. I even added the bride and groom statuette to the top with the groom fallen down the side to represent how the bride will never be with her groom again! I’m excited for your future tutorials!

    HOW do you come up with these things? I mean, the precise measurements and stuff... is it just trial and error?

    • @HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms
      @HALLOWEENHOWTObySaulFilms  3 года назад

      Hi Cory, thanks so much for asking. It is a combination of things. Some of the props I came up with many years ago (such as the Rat-In-a-Cake), I am now revisiting them and rethinking them in terms of what materials are available today. Others I build and figure out as I go along in front of the camera, however I already have a pretty good idea of what will and will not work for those. Then there are those, such as the soon to be released "Animated Flying Bats" (way over due because of the smoky, bad air conditions in my garage because of the fires here in N. California), for those I build a complete prototype off camera, perfect it and then build it again in front of the camera. I started building Halloween displays when I was in Jr. High and that was loooong before Halloween stores and the internet, so everything had to be built by hand and from scratch. Necessity really was the mother of invention back then!

I work out of my garage, which is a non-conditioned space, so construction, painting, filming, etc., has been limited and at times impossible during the recent summer months.
