XV went through an absolutely insane development hell. I still want that game presented from the original trailer for XIII Versus or whatever it was originally called.
More probably 2, the game was scraped so many times they had to rework the combat and other stuff completely because of a. The poor reception of the Nova crystalis stuff and b. The changes in the engine.@Wong_Shen
@Wong_Shen I dont think that. FF is the greatest franchise Square Enix has, I cant think a reason of why the would save a lot of budget in a NUMBERED GAME, that are the most important games in franchise. Anyway FF16 is being developed since 2015, so its 8 years of development, fair amount of time imo
FFXVI feels like a return to form--a pre-FFVII form. It's not ATB, or Turn-based, but the aesthetic is right out of the early FF games. I see so much of the early games in FFXVI, especially FFII and FFIV. I think the only way to get out of the shadow of FFVII is to remind people that the FF legacy started much earlier, and I think that's what this game is trying to do.
@@flamehiro That's a load of crap and you know it, you don't want an ff game, you want a turn based game You boiling this game down to just a "dmc copy" says more about you not caring about ff's story, the world, the characters, the music, and the grand adventures of the franchise; only the turn based gameplay Well go play OT2, SMT5 and Yakuza 7; also buy actual good turn based games like Crystal Project and EBF5
FF16 is a fantastic COMPLETE game. It runs smooth. The story is great. The combat is so much fun to play and experiment with. I am half way through new game + and it still feels fun as hell.
I really want to finally play it after I beat FF15! Having a blast with Noct and the boys. I just don't want it to end. is 16 woke at all? hope not. That's the only reason I wouldn't buy it haha cheers!!
I'm pretty sure everyone whose ever heard of Final Fantasy versus XIII still want it. The development of the game was absolute hell. BTW, anyone in 2023 playing Ffxv?
Back here after 3 weeks. Maybe versus XIII is pretty much impossible now but that's OK. They just need to make the game to be a little bit more of a challenge. I mean like, ardyn really just be standing there while noctis is literally blitzing him his armiger. I think changing the altissia battle arc gameplay would do well. They don't have to change the arc's story, just change the gameplay experiences and make it a bit more intense. One thing is also the warping graphics. If you've seen the trailers or the movie kingsglaive, you'd see how beautiful the warping seems. In the game, noctis just throws his weapon the ground and "dashes" to it. In the movie and trailers, when the user warps, they to teleport to it and blue explosion particle would appear. The warping graphics looks kinds boring.
You know I really loved the character designs of FFXV and actually enjoyed playing it throughout my whole play through. It was graphically beautiful stunning and I was always left in awe not too mention Noctis powers to me was the most bad ass and unique from other FF games like the dude can WARP! Thats bending space and time and moving through like a GOD! I feel like he was very underrated and unappreciated. Anyways I just wish that the combat development was better bc XVI looks extremely promising and having it be the same developer as DMC5 really gives me hype! I wish they couldve chose that dmc team for xv cause it wouldve been a hit! Oh well. I hope one day they’ll be a remake of XV but the day will never come 😂
@@ghanesabianca2239 yeah i mean why they didnt want to make ffxv sequel dude i mean thats gonna be so damn cool imagine if the story is in the underworld. Noctis meet with other friend there and soon maybe after a couple years prompto ignis and gladious join Noctis adventure
I think one of the problems with 15 is the inconsistency of their character designs. Like the characters that appears in the movie kingsglaive like Luna, looks very different in the actual game. And in the game itself, there are some cutscenes where Luna looked like a different person that doesn’t match the game and the movie. I honestly prefer her look in the movie, she looked like a real person. Another one is Noctis face, he just looks different as a teen compared to his adult bearded face and long haired. It’s like his face went from looking like a teenage Asian to complete European as an adult haha 😆😂 I honestly like his adult version more with the long hair and beard! I thought it was badass! I think that Noctis adult/older version should’ve been longer in the game. I kinda like the post apocalypse vibes, it reminded me of final fantasy 6.
15 really felt like it couldn't pick a theme, it felt like it was half-assing all aspects of the worldbuilding and lore. I couldn't really get into it with the clash between old world kingdoms and the modern day themes
I truly believe that if people don't like xv then it's because they couldn't thoroughly work the battle system. I loved ffxv so much. I beat it and wasn't too happy with it. But my 2nd and third play through years later was by far more enjoyable. Learning how to use team attacks and blindsides on demand made it so much better.
An important difference is that FF16 has a beautiful sense of cinematography, camera works and acting, while FF15 had way less focus on that. From the acting to cinematography, it felt really amateur-ish, as if someone was recording the scenes with their mobile phone and the actors (Noctis & friends) were inexperienced Since the fantasy is important in the franchise, FF16's great cinematography will really help into portraying it well
I think the acting worked overall but I super agree about the camera work. And it's weird because FF usually has pristine camera work that makes it feel cinematic for story cutscenes. It also has this weird thing about avoiding depth of field almost in it's entirity or switching camera lens. I'm sure it's a aesthetic choice but I always felt it worked to it's deficit
Think this is the first time someone else has said this for FFXV, loved the game but always thought the cutscenes were lacking especially compared to previous games in FF and FFVII Remake.
when i heard that tetsuya nomura recruit Jun Akiyama the event direction for Vagrant Story and FF12 im so hype because his work is really good but it fell apart after he left the project because director change
I am an old FF fan and I habe to go with FF XV, I don't like to be told where to go all the time and play so linear. So even if XV was 'unfinished' I still enjoyed it a lot more than XVI. Final Fantasy genre always contains some kind of exploration and looting and dungeouns. In FF XVI you literary watching a movie with 5min game play, and without any bustling cities to visit. No minigames. Too few items (and how you build them) Everything is like running down a simple road and get pointed out like a dummy where to go consistently. I don't know, I just don't feel it at all. Witcher 3 and God of War are way better battle wise
even in its unfinished state, ffxv is much more detailed and admirable when it comes to rpg/open world aspects. ff 16 without its boss fights, feels so repeatitive and rely too much on its cutscenes. the amount of things we can do in ffxv is damn near gta level versatile makes you actually travel and explore
It wasn’t a secret that Final Fantasy XV was a transition to Final Fantasy versus XIII and for some who played the game they were confused by the story
Noctis is one of the coolest characters ever made, too bad the game and the story are missing so much. FFVI has me on the fence, not sure if I really like it and I played most FF games including the original in Nes
15 in general was a huge waste of potential. After a decade of waiting it was so disappointing. if anything I wish they gave us a compelling COMPLETE story
Never played FF but this one just looks so enjoyable, and I respect the time they took to develop this game instead of rushing out a title it's gold certified since March and this is the first time I hear a gold certified game before it comes out
The Biggest Difference: Completely different development studio with little to no overlap is people involved in creating it. There being a large amount of differences is not that strange. Even though, they are both Final Fantasy games, in essence it would be the same as comparing it to God of War or Horizon. Different studio, different people, different experience.
Woa...Good thing U mention this atm. I am replaying 15 on X at 4K and OMG it was and is masterpiece. It feels brand new the royal edition for next gen! U appreciate the works it went thru though. I hope 16 able to surpass it. Graphic wise, 15 is superb and it is smooth fps next gen deserved.
The FF15 characters were more relatable. I love Noctis's LaBoutins and the way they had to visit diners after hunts. They looked like some goth club hopper kids (so royal ❤). FF16 was totally different stylistically and the melancholy element was somewhat lacking. Though, the gameplay was engaging and I think the game was longer. I think they should completely remake FF6 in this similar style. It's one of my favorites because the story is very classic....Also, does anyone know what happened to the original trailer that was released for FF16? Seems, it had nothing to do with the game.
Final Fantasy XV was an unfinished mess that went through 10 years of development hell switching developers and directors while having constant input from greedy know-nothing executives. Final Fantasy XVI is a passion project by a competent team that have been given carte blanche to do whatever the hell they want and seems to be a true form return for the franchise.
@@HybridEmblemnot to mention that the characters’ design on ff16 look so generic lol. Them all look so basic, ff used to have main characters or support characters with unique design but ff16 looks way too basic
At first I never thought ff16 would get a nomination. But after the demo shit. If starfield doesn't deliver I think this will be another ps exclusive vs ps exclusive with Spiderman 2 knocking on that door along with ff16. Baldurs gate 3 could get nominated but it's not a popular genre.
I’d just like to say that when you say there is no blocking that is untrue Titan’s abilities contains a block skill that has no cooldown. What’s more a well timed block just before an attack will launch a counterattack.
@@kpj2224 Please analyze the many videos that have been out before commenting Clive is literally seen holding the block button for awhile. It has no cooldown and can be held or it can be hit just before an attack to block the attack and immediately launch a counterattack. If you want to know where to specifically see Clive holding block for a while it’s during Benedikta fight after she half transforms.
You could also look at it as FF16 is what the team learned from FF14 and applied it to the FF16. The boss fight and mechanics are straight from FF14. Even the story premise is similar to the expansions from FF14. Map travel with aether points and even the moogle is straight from FF14. I would even bet you'll see The Good King Moggle Mog as one of the S tier hunt in FF16.
This is a far better comparison, considering some of the producers and directors from FFXIV were pulled from it to make FFXVI. FFXIV has become an amazing game with their latest expansions shadowbringers and endwalker, so I'm quite looking forward to what FFXVI will bring to the table.
@@XDark8SlayerX but how can you even compare them theyre literally nothing alike one is a hack and slash one is a mmorpg the gameplay is completely different like there isnt one thing in the game that is similar
Ff15 was good in attaching you to the characters but was basically lowered by listening to fans(still a good game) and had dlcs to fulfill the story but canceled the best ones, but is basically insecure and unsure. Ff16 had a good story and more ways to make your own combos, was a complete story, and is basically confident to cocky because they listened to themselves. When they make 17 they literally just need to add the comrades system and dynamic of 15(also with team attacks)with everything else 16 has already and it will be PERFECT 👌
@Maverick H17 I think is cuz how it came out at first before all the patch changes and Add DLC if you compare wen it Release to the royal edition you will se why people were complaining
I really like XVI but XV open world it’s makes a lot different I like walking around with my homies and driving mode in the game was awesome listen to the soundtrack of the game all of it while driving you can enjoy both the gameplay and the atmosphere of the game! I’m really impressed about the demo of the game I’m looking forward for the game👍
I'm still unsure on this one. I didn't like 15 and thought the combat felt clunky. I'll try the demo and then make up my mind. The fact that there's going to be a demo shows that they are confident
“thought the combat felt clunky” actually means “I sucked at the combat, so ill just say it felt clunky.” people usually don’t like things that they aren’t good at
@kp j people use make assumptions when they are invested to take someone's opinion. I play souls like games. Final fantasy 15 gave me 0 challenges for the combat if anything, it wasn't challenging enough. I didn't hate on 15 I liked noctis and the crew, but the gameplay for me was no fun, that's my opinion you don't need to be offended
tbh its better to have low expectations. The game sucks? no shock. Game ends up being a masterpiece? you'll be blown away because you didn't expect it.

I wouldn't be surprised if they took a simular route in DLC, following Cid or Jill playing as them during points in the story they're not with Clive filling story gaps. Just some speculation.
I'm just glad it actually feels like a fantasy setting. 15 felt like a sci-fi story taking place in the united states. Not even the magic felt like magic, it was something you crafted 👎 Other heavy sci-fi settings like 7 or 8 do a good job keeping the fantasy feel with the lifestream, magic, story, final bosses, etc.
Noumura didn't direct XV nor VXI lol (not complaining im thankful but the poor guy gets blamed for everything) he isn't involved with XVI and he was only involved with XV in the early stages (wich is why it took so long but the 10 years wait are actually what saved FFXV from being a Cyberpunk 2077 or a Fallout 76 considering how bad Luminous engine is)

I have played every FF including the ones on handhelds and mmos(still playing) and I'm playing FF16 now. It earned the mainline series title for me. One thing I would've changed tho would be the character developments and their relationship progression. Some parts feel a bit rushed and some big moments feel unearned. I think they tried to remedy this with the active time lore and it helps a little bit but, still would've preferred they slowed this down a bit. Even with all the cutscenes and general feeling of you're not actually playing, instead watching a cinematic experience with a sprinkle of ARPG elements thrown in.
Sounds like there won't be secret areas on the maps? Not a fan of that. The only time I really like being surprised is when I stumble upon something in a video game. Hopefully they'll still have an Omega Weapon style character to slay.
FF15 was the first time I liked the combat since Lightning Returns. I liked the pause mode. I've been playing since FF1 on NES. I'll get this and gripe about the combat but I'll enjoy it haha. 😊 I still would've liked them to include the pause mode again.
There's literally items in the game that let you do full combos and auto dodge for you, with only one button. A disabled person could play it. Pausing is unnecessary.
I liked what they were aiming for but the execution was poor. The combat controls didn’t feel responsive at all, favoring fancy animations that made fighting feel floating and not 1:1 with what I was pressing. Also items were easily abused. Clearly they learned a lot with how amazing the battle system was in 7R. 16 is fully action but it’s cmon it’s led by the DMC battle director, I’m confident it’ll feel amazing to play
I don’t care what anybody says I’m loving FFXVI right now but FFXV is my favorite just bc of the dialogue while fighting and traveling , link strikes and Armiger
Just played the FF16 demo last night and it felt like a prequel to FF15, but like 500 years in the past. I even had to Google to make sure they didn't take place on the same world. I wonder why they wanted to make these games so similar in themes?
Even though l love Final Fantasy XVI more than l do Final Fantasy XV l loved playing Final Fantasy XV l thought it was a fantastic game l thought that Final Fantasy XV was a very underated game l didn’t care for the comments made by the critics and some of the player fan base when they didn’t like the premise of the game being about 3 guy buddies who travel across the country in a car and that that wouldn’t make for much of an interesting storyline l flatly disagree with that statement okay the beginning of the game starts a little slow but it takes time to build up characters and build up the story but very quickly into the game the storyline kicked in and became more intense and more exciting as the game progressed on to the point that l really started to really enjoy the story it just took a little time to get into
One thing I disliked about FF15 was its weird art design. The design choices were so different and varied that they seemed out of sync with each other in my opinion.
Im not really feeling the main protagonist in 16 , Noctis was really appealing to me as well as Cloud. Clive is okay but not as appealing as previous ff protagonist such as cloud and Noctis
Clive is way better than Noctis though. Personality wise, character development and so.on. Cloud isn't also the best example of protagonist at least not on the original game ( he's better on the remake) yet you have protagonists that are better.
I like the game but the 30fps are really bad. Its like you play with fog infront of your eyes. Grafik dont look good.most of the time the texture is soggy. Does anyone know if there will be a Performance patch in the future... i bought a ps5 to have better grafik otherwise i could have stayed with my ps4 pro.... i think they program them in ps4 quality.
I mean, the fact ffxvi will have a complete story at launch and both the story and characters were the devs top priority already made it leagues better than ffxv. Anything else is just the icing on the cake.
I love Clive, sweet Clive but Noct will always be my boy xD And even as I play other FF's, i still find myself intuitively trying to warp. I freaking love warping to bits and its shame its not in more games. Its so addictive to see Noct phasing and if im not wrong, his warp animation differs weapon to weapon. Its so cool. FFXV may have needed a lot more time to cook (the 10 year development only had 2-3 years of actual game making time), but this game is special, I love it warts and all. Its got so much soul in it! And that ending...so poignant and beautiful. I really really love the original ending T.T As much as i want something happier, the base game ending was much more impactful and tied up Noct's growth beautifully.
I love them both but 15 was just so much more captivating. It felt like a real effort, like it really wanted to make a name for itself. 16 is kind of generic
Kinda pointless to compare XVI and XV, they have literally nothing in common besides being part of the same series and XVI coming after XV in the sequence. Everything else is different. Different teams, different direction, different approach to pretty much everything.
Still hoping for 15 level editors, there so much more with the game, modder community can help a lot, with that much asset the game has they can create the unfinished dlc!
FFXV could’ve been the best FF, sadly all that time to not have everything inside the game kinda made it scale lower…and once they stopped with wanting to continue making content, it could never reach the heights it could’ve went…
ff 15 required 3 mediums and dlc's to become complete. a short anime, a cgi movie, and the additional content added on later to completely understand and get the full story. it was always incomplete on its own
If it wasn’t for FFXV we wouldn’t have mature story Large Stronger summons .Better magic .Action rpg..Strong mature personalities and big open boss fights .Good music good dialogues .FFXV in Reality was the Key for FFXVI I hope 16 does good Noctis is one of the coolest strong heartbreaking carácter so I do love 15 and wish the best for 16..

@@luciosemirsahagun8376 I hate to break it to you, but XV has a lot less influence on XVI than you seem to think. I mean, of course, the devs are aware of its existence and the things it did well and the things it did very poorly (the latter is likely a far longer list), and they will definitely try to avoid making the mistakes XV's team made. But just because it's the previous numbered title, that in no way means XV is the biggest influence on XVI, let alone the key for XVI lol The key to what XVI is, and the biggest influence on the game overall, with combat, story, music, worldbuilding etc, is FFXIV. By your own admission you haven't played it, but if you had you wouldn't be making this argument in the first place. The influences of FFXIV are absolutely EVERYWHERE in XVI. From characters and storytelling (XIV had very mature themes, but was kinda held back by its milder rating at times) to combat encounter design, boss mechanics and so on. The whole game is basically a big "What if XIV was a PS5 exclusive singleplayer game?", which makes perfect sense because it's made by the same team. It has very little in common with FFXV.
Yet everyone was complaining 15 wasn’t final fantasy enough and they opinions influenced it to only be a ok to good game only because the characters and not the story
Nah while playing final fantasy 15 (2 Hours playtime) and ff16(2hours playtime) final fantasy 15 didn’t feel like a fantasy world but ff16 did I always felt like I’m in the world wiht magic kingdoms etc
I’m so glad ffxvi went and became a good game instead of sticking to forcing itself to face issues from limitations that only applied to the older ff games. It really really prioritized being an amazing game of final fantasy over catering to people who like repackaged stuff like Pokémon games have been doing for ages. Ffxiv and ffxv walked to break those chains, and once broken, ffxvi ran. Looking forward to seeing ffxvii fly.
XV and forspoken is developed with luminous engine and that's why when the game came out it was buggy and unfinished but FF16 engine is an upgraded engine of ff14 so the FF16 and 14 engine is more polished
@fusajiro446 at the end of the day it’s not that important - the visuals aren’t what will make it a good or bad game, like everything else it will be about the story the characters and the gameplay…I just thought it was interesting being as this is technically a full generation ahead of XV in terms of technology etc.
@@takerukurosawa2337 well that’s true - but for all we know if could have been possible for the game to run on PS4, putting it on PS5 may be just a marketing decision. Again though, the way it looks has no bearing on whether or not it’s a great game - it’s just interesting that’s all 🙃
The graphics look superior to me in FFXVI. Especially environments(the density, complexity and fidelity), lighting and the complexity of scenes/views in general. Character models looked very good in FFXVI. Really good art. I can see the demanding things like hair are more complex in FFXVI though.
Final fantasy 15 by far is way better than 16 because of the open world. And it has a better story line, Final Fantasy 16 in my opinion was not well made, it should of been a continuation of 15 even thou, what I don’t like about 16 it’s like a copy cat version of Devil me cry 4,5. Final Fantasy 16 should of been done after Noctis has been king, Ardin returns for his revenge on Noctis and the kings glave. That story like could of been more intense knowing Ardin is cursed to live forever even after the Ring of Lucas had disappeared a new ring could of been forged to stay with Noctis. On 15 when Noctis defeated Ardin and the ring disappeared at a small scene where Noctis gets married to Lunafreya, everything resets itself as if it never happened. So Ardin is still alive, looking dethrone the king of Lucas

Also the demon lord/chaos keeps the hero’s party alive but due to the dark/negative energy over hundreds of years they have become monsters that the hero must purge/kill them to free them. The hero only finds out half way through the game. Bam 💥
I love the new character, more fantasy, less Sci Fi feeling. I also they continue with the Japanese, handsome - stylish looking art style than the "Realistic Ugly" art style of the West RPG. We need Square going this direction with future FF.

I would say one thing missing is the romance story since most Final Fantasy titles often have some romance in play. Final Fantasy 15 was Noctis and Lunafreya while with 16 far as the protagonist not entirely sure if there is a romance story or not. However if there is perhaps it will end far less tragic than that of Final Fantasy 15 did. Another thing was mode of transportation given in Final Fantasy 15 you do a lot of traversing in the Regalia while with 16 it looks like you are warping about to each region. It does look like the Chocobo is back in this game so that is something the two games share. It also looks like this is another title where the male is the main protagonist, like, how many Final Fantasy titles alone have the male as the main character? I'm just saying the last time a female was the lead was what Lightning Returns? Anyway those were just some things I thought of while watching this video.
Biggest difference is it's not a Final Fantasy game anymore it's God of War with chocobos. The story is phenomenal and the only reason I'm forcing myself to play this stupid button mashing action game. Final Fantasy games used to be my favorite games of all time but the path this franchise has taken completely gutting the game of all RPG elements in favor of being another God of War clone to sell more copies truly breaks my heart.
First of all, you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about God of war is extremely complicated if you know how to string combos together and so is this. All you morons have all the accessibility elements attached because combo making can be extremely complex. If you take time to learn it to be able to string them together but everybody’s complaining about all they have to do is hit square. That’s true if you have all the accessibilities attached to it but it’s not literally the only thing you do is swing your sword and that’s it.

FF16 is a fantastic COMPLETE game. It runs smooth. The story is great. The combat is so much fun to play and experiment with. I am half way through new game + and it still feels fun as hell.
I really want to finally play it after I beat FF15! Having a blast with Noct and the boys. I just don't want it to end.
is 16 woke at all? hope not. That's the only reason I wouldn't buy it haha
cheers!!
A buttery smooth 40 fps at times yes
I love the game, the world and this Cid is one of the best( my favourite is from IX) but I wouldn't call the game smooth.
Story is awful
@@randalthor6872"is it woke???" You are cringe af
I'm pretty sure everyone whose ever heard of Final Fantasy versus XIII still want it. The development of the game was absolute hell. BTW, anyone in 2023 playing Ffxv?
Truth!! Versus is what we wanted!!
I started playing this year finally. i just got at the city that looks like Venice.
I am currently replaying it for a 3rd time in 2024 with a totaly or 280 hours XD
Oh well. I hope one day they’ll be a remake of XV but the day will never come 😂
15 should have put the full story in the game from the start
Yes or release dlc noctis for real ending
FFXV REMAKEEE PLSSS...
Agree , that warp move is so badass
I agree the character design differences was very noticeable across the varied mediums the universe was spread across. I liked movie Luna best too.
15 really felt like it couldn't pick a theme, it felt like it was half-assing all aspects of the worldbuilding and lore. I couldn't really get into it with the clash between old world kingdoms and the modern day themes
this could be avoided if ffxv were only a single game. not multimedia crap
FF15 is the worst FF game of all time
@@sheriffdraws8789🤓🤓
@@sheriffdraws8789 No... Frikin.... way.
@@sheriffdraws8789Bullshit.
An important difference is that FF16 has a beautiful sense of cinematography, camera works and acting, while FF15 had way less focus on that. From the acting to cinematography, it felt really amateur-ish, as if someone was recording the scenes with their mobile phone and the actors (Noctis & friends) were inexperienced
Since the fantasy is important in the franchise, FF16's great cinematography will really help into portraying it well
I think the acting worked overall but I super agree about the camera work.
The voice acting in ffxv was amazing wtf are you talking about
@@thejonkler224 Agreed. All the voice actors did a wonderful job giving the characters and game a lively and fun atmosphere.
Agreed
even in its unfinished state, ffxv is much more detailed and admirable when it comes to rpg/open world aspects. ff 16 without its boss fights, feels so repeatitive and rely too much on its cutscenes. the amount of things we can do in ffxv is damn near gta level versatile makes you actually travel and explore
It wasn’t a secret that Final Fantasy XV was a transition to Final Fantasy versus XIII and for some who played the game they were confused by the story
I like that Final Fantasy XVI is not open world. I feel like a lot of XV's shortcomings were due to it being one.
I just played the first 2 hrs of ff16 demo and the story has kinda grabbed me it seems interesting and the eikings is cool

The Biggest Difference:
Completely different development studio with little to no overlap is people involved in creating it.
16 isn’t coming to the Xbox.
yeah I know that, and I have PS5. I love both systems. Not a problem which comes first.
it is, as it seems, it will stay exclusive for 6 months but who knows...
Played both, I still like 15 way more.
One note about the difficulty, there is a harder mode after you beat the game. more like how FF7R does it where it requries you to have everything.
XV has an amazing story that's told poorly. So much to dive into, but you REALLY have to go out your way to piece things together.

I’d just like to say that when you say there is no blocking that is untrue Titan’s abilities contains a block skill that has no cooldown.
What’s more a well timed block just before an attack will launch a counterattack.

You could also look at it as FF16 is what the team learned from FF14 and applied it to the FF16. The boss fight and mechanics are straight from FF14. Even the story premise is similar to the expansions from FF14. Map travel with aether points and even the moogle is straight from FF14. Ff16 had a good story and more ways to make your own combos, was a complete story, and is basically confident to cocky because they listened to themselves.
One thing I disliked about FF15 was its weird art design. The design choices were so different and varied that they seemed out of sync with each other in my opinion.
Ff16 makes the game feel open world by making some of the locals really large and being able to return. 12 did this on a bigger scale.
I love 15 it has a special place in my heart. 16 is also great but I liked 15 more.
I only played the demo and I’m gonna play the rest of ff16 after playing rebirth and maybe 15 but from what I’ve played I love him as much as cloud

I mean, the fact ffxvi will have a complete story at launch and both the story and characters were the devs top priority already made it leagues better than ffxv. Anything else is just the icing on the cake.
Also a big diffenfwce they didn’t take yoshi p off the project to go work on kingdom hearts and final fantasy 7 remake
I love how Clive looks like post-apocalypse Noctis only even older and more mature. And with an accent for some reason

I loved FFXV so if they take that formula and improve upon it FFXVI should be great
FFXV could’ve been the best FF, sadly all that time to not have everything inside the game kinda made it scale lower…and once they stopped with wanting to continue making content, it could never reach the heights it could’ve went…
ff 15 required 3 mediums and dlc's to become complete. a short anime, a cgi movie, and the additional content added on later to completely understand and get the full story. it was always incomplete on its own

But just because it's the previous numbered title, that in no way means XV is the biggest influence on XVI, let alone the key for XVI lol
The key to what XVI is, and the biggest influence on the game overall, with combat, story, music, worldbuilding etc, is FFXIV.

…not that this really means anything in the grand scheme of things but I think XV has the more impressive visuals - which is odd 🤔
@@ACameronUK if that was the case it could've been on PS4 but it's only on PS5
@@takerukurosawa2337 well that’s true - but for all we know if could have been possible for the game to run on PS4, putting it on PS5 may be just a marketing decision. I mean looking at the footage in this video and to me at least it looks extremely similar to the image quality of FFXV, some of the environments in that game still look pretty amazing in fact.
Im so happy ff16 its not a Open World game ❤❤.
Yeah this is better
want a better attack system /slower looking attacks
so that the attacks looks as if they had more weight behind it
I hope the next final fantasy games a female playable character final fantasy 17 I really enjoyed playing as lightning ⚡️
So Ardin is still alive, looking dethrone the king of Lucas
is FFXVI similar to Witcher 3? They looks pretty close there.
PS5 is a RTX 2070..
FF XVI need a PC gaming 4080/7900XTX/4090..
That shit otimization.
Imagine a souls style final fantasy set in a world where the darkness/demon lord killed the last hero a few hundred years ago and took over the world. Instead of destroying it he wanted to wait because right before the hero died he said if only he had another chance he would be able to kill the demon lord so the demon lord amused by this and waits for the hero’s reincarnation while keeping the world shrouded by darkness and plague. You are the hero now fight in the comments my champion
That's a awesome story idea 😮
@@illahall4054 yeah square should hire me
You should make that game yourself, and call it Last fantasy.
Yea so far Japanese games are the best when it comes to aesthetics and beautiful character models! I hope it lasts forever and that they don't become woketarded like western developers have : (
Just look at Aloy from Horizon Forbidden West! What the heck have they done to her?!? makes be ill.
@@randalthor6872a white man crying about a female having body hair….. yup checks out
@@nyanyancatzlmao I'm white? haha you need to take better classes at psychic school : )
In all seriousness, your assumption of my race just demonstrates how racist you are. Cheers though :)
Anyway those were just some things I thought of while watching this video.
all the crazy woke people are ruining romance options in video games, especially in the west : (
Long live Noctis, I want him back 😭 killing him off was cruel.
Amen
The sun sets on Noctis time watching over the series my nephew said. Im just like Pfft we know the scions of the seventh dawn had to pick up the slack lol
Jokes aside i wish they had done more showing not telling with XV more than anything. I got it on release and while it was a rose tinted glasses run my second playthrough i saw the cracks.
Final Fantasy 15, does let you go back to the open world at the final chapters. You jst have to find the dog that allows you to go back.
final fantasy 15 was great :D i loved playing as sasuke uchiha
FF XV have a better graphics obviously, but the bug in it (PC) is unbearable.
XV still my fav 🥺✨️
Final Fantasy XVI looks better in every way
i wonder if SE will have the balls to remake all their early FF titles into this kind of gameplay. Because i cant help to imagine how fun would have been to play ff4 with Cecil swapping dark knight and Paladin mode like in Dissidia.
