Thank you so much for listing the information. Appreciate your effort.
Thank you for your hard work😉
Been making guacamole for decades. I'm also Hispanic, keep a 2 to 1 ratio of tomatoes to onions. A hint of jalapeños or just the juice is good. Go very light. 🎸
Awesome recipe - Is this recipe for only one person? Can the guacamole be refrigerated? If so, for how many days?
No need garlic and tomato. It waters down the guac and the garlic overpowers the onion and cilantro
I’ve been doing 2-3 avocados a day for 6 weeks on keto (mashed with Redmond real salt and Fresh squeezed lime juice) and all my bio markers have drastically improved. Blood pressure fell from 159/96 to 117/71. It’s my favorite food. I just eat it with a spoon.
I have done 2 avocadoes a day for 3+ years.....and I cant keep the weight on...and no inflammation on keto
I get a just about ripe one, cut a big hole in it on the side. and spoon it out like a dish of ice cream. I eat them just plain and they are delicious
@@gladysover5368 I like it plain too, but absolutely love it mashed with salt and lime😍 It’s even better with the other ingredients but it takes too long for me.
@@ramsareitwish I had that problem. 😅
Me too!
I am also a big guacamole fan, but instead of using tortilla or corn chips (due to high carbs and generally being bad for you), I use thick slices of cucumbers to eat my guac (at least 1/4" or thicker). I've taken my cucumber chips and guacamole to parties, and they are always a hit. I never leave the party with any cucumber slices or guacamole for that matter. :)
Thanks for the idea!
Fried corn chips sure. Handmade tortillas aren't bad for you. Old family members (I'm Mexican) use to eat 6 or 8 tortillas a day and they weren't fat. Difference between their generation and mine is they didn't eat junk food.
Great idea!
I'm doing this next superbowl party. Thanks
Thank you so much for this idea real game changer
I like to dip with cucumbers.
Small pickling cucumbers are crunchy & juicy, the skin isn't too thick (so you don't have to peel them), & they're pint-sized for easy grab & dip action.
The feeling in your tummy after you eat the combination of the 2 says it all.
I feel energized & full of life!

@@user-sc9pn3tq4y Starting out with ACV (ty Dr. Berg) I went down about 70 lbs over a 2 ish year period. It was tough changing my diet as it was a lifestyle change but wow do I feel better! I`m back to my 18 year old body and am told i`m too skinny but hey I feel great!
You my man are a genius. Look how many people you've helped. Not all hero's wear capes. Thank you for all you share dr berggy.
I love avocado, I love this video, and I love all your advice! I don’t know if this has been mentioned already, but always save the pit and insert it into the middle of your guacamole before storing in the refrigerator to keep it bright and green. Then the pit can be removed when serving.
So how long is the Guac good for usually?
I eat guacamole every day pretty much as part of my keto diet. I make it with red onion and a habanero pepper (no tomato) and sea salt. I've lost 59lbs since mid Nov. Down from a 40" waist to 34". Your advice is great. Thanks
Your comment is very interesting. What else is contained in your average daily eating. I really need to loose weight. Any help you might give would be very much appreciated.

Would love some advice on what you eat throughout the day, what time you eat throughout the day, and also if you include any workouts out. Would love some help on this as I’m trying to start my weight loss journey.

I can’t live on avocados only. I need vitamins , minerals and proteins.
Guac is so amazing.. it comes out to being the healthiest food i eat. I throw the entire spice drawer in it: Pepper, tumeric, sea salt, nutritional yeast, onion, garlic, cayenne powder, and i've recently started adding kimchi to it as well. Such a health bomb lol.
I like eat kimchi, avocado 🥑 and whole lemon 🍋 everyday. I make home fermented kimchi when run out.
You’ve changed my life through health and wellness Dr. Berg. Thank you for all you do!

That's so great! Glad I could help!
I live in Japan and can't get avocados all year round. However, when I go, I get 2, mash them with a fork, add sea salt, ground black pepper and cumin powder. Just slice up some cucumber on an angle and they serve as perfect chips.
I have severe UC. I suffered for 5 years straight. In and out of hospitals and could not hold my poop.
I make a smoothie everyday that has avocados in it and I eat guacamole VERY often. I’ve been doing this for 6 months. Just found out last week I’m in clinical remission through a scope. I feel amazing. I document everything I do on my channel❤️
Guacamole has become my go-to salad dressing! I eat a large salad daily with cucumber, greens, sunflower kernels, & guacamole. YUM! I've lost 40 lbs since January 1st ( now May 11th). Guacamole satisfies me til my evening meal. Thank you for helping us!!
I have been on keto diet almost 2 years and I turned to a guacamole fanatic well before this video. It just seems to be a great go to food that had all the benefits of avocados and more. I eat it with organic mixed salad greens, salsa, shredded cheese, and sour cream for a mexican salad type meal and it's great.
try pork cracklings as a chip.
I feel very satiated after eating an avocado with just a little sea salt and black pepper. I often have that to curb late night hunger.
@@jackedkerouac4414 that is a b4 bed snack I feed to my dad. I also feed him a few mashed strawberries or half banana sprinkled with xylitol and a splash of heavy cream.

Good morning! Yes! Ate avocados with eggs this morning. I am 6 months into my fourth pregnancy…gained healthy 12 pounds, low glycemic, low low low carb borderline keto, and am feeling like this is my most healthy pregnancy since I had been on the Berg train six months before this pregnancy. Congratulations and happy delivery!
Congratulations. I can just imagine how healthy your baby will be, also.
I have to say that some minor changes to my diet changed my life. IE cutting out wheat, corn, processed foods etc. It has dramatically reduced the pain in my joints, something my doctor just shrugged his shoulder at and called it ageing "You're no longer 18 years old, it is to be expected" he said .
The doctors statement isn’t surprising given the upside down food pyramid… several industries are making lots of money from it. Now there’s groups claiming obesity is not harmful (?) Just seems carefully complicit given the role diet plays

As a Mexican, this is why I try to eat ‘basic’ Mexican foods because they are relatively healthy- avocados, tomatoes, lime, beans, cactus (nopalitos), zucchini, pumpkin/squash, chiles.
I try to buy healthy corn tortillas (only ingredients are food grade lime (calcium hydroxide), corn and salt). A taco with beans and guacamole and salsa is one of the best things in the world. 🥰
Just watch out for the tequila.
The Hispanic population used to have such good health stats they called it "The Hispanic Anomaly". It 's gone and now the group has double the diabetes (along with blacks) of whites, Asians have the lowest of all and Native Americans a disaster with the worst rates of diabetes in the world (except for the tiny cluster of super-rich oil sheikhdoms where nobody has to do any labor). It's from eating processed foods instead of what their ancestors ate. Incredibly, as with blacks, as the family incomes went up, their health got worse. They were healthier when they were poorer! (It does not help when the government gives EBT for Hot Cheetos, Oreos, Twinkies, etc)
Corn is all gmo so skip it
@@runecscapeman That is an outright lie. How much corn have you grown? None? High fructose corn syrup and fuel are the two most common gmo corn products.
@@runecscapeman as a Mexican I cannot skip corn- it’s practically in our genes. I try to buy organic corn tortillas with corn from Mexico, that have gone through the nixtamalization process (ancient Mexican technique). If you don’t know what it is, look it up.
Mexico while also affected by GMO crops has fought against GMO corn. I trust them a bit more than the US in that arena.
Great recipe ! I also add green chile and sometimes diced jalapeno or some cayenne if you like spicy! I eat and dip with sliced cucumbers and baby carrots, green peppers, etc. I Love gaucamole-- it makes it a lot easier to stick on keto! Thank you for listing all the nutrients I am eating with it. I love guacamole! Eating it every day would not be a problem for me 😋
LOVE GUACAMOLE!!!! I would eat this EVERY day...and now I"m going to figure out how to add it as often as possible. THANK YOU!
Guacamole is one of my favorite things to add to salad. The Winter Garden Restaurant on the Coney Island boardwalk in NYC makes an avocado salad which is just all the ingredients in guacamole cut into chunks tossed together with cucumber and a lemony vinaigrette and served over lettuce, very refreshing and delicious.
I love avocados! My mom used to cut them in chunks, and kinda marinate them in oil & vinegar. I now do the same but use olive oil & balsamic vinegar or lime juice.
Thanks. Moved to Thailand where the elevation microclimates grow avocados nearly all year round. I can grow garlic, lime, tomato, and shallots or onion. Cilantro is everywhere. I am in a moist, rice growing region where centella asiatica grows well. It is in the parsley family and 20 fresh leaves a day can be added to the guac.
I don't know about a connection between gall bladder and taste. I would say that we all have sociocultural psychosis that we blow off as, "preference." Growing up as anglo, blue collar, Caucasian, my first reaction to cilantro was the same, "soapy." If I were latin or asian culturally, it would be taught as a medical, 5 element theory ingredient.
Sounds amazing I live it all.we use a lot on cilantro in the Spanish culture Sofrito it's a great base for cooking blessing enjoy enjoy
It can be adapted to pesto recipes to assist in removing heavy metals from the body. If you like Mediterranean cooking, also.

Onion and tomato fresh pickle : slice 1 small purple or red onion and 2 tomatoes into thin rings. Add a generous amount of sea salt and mix well. Cover for 30 minutes. (Onion will "cook" in the salt - no strong smell of taste)

Put into fridge for 30 minutes. Serve with your dinner. Cucumber can be also used instead of tomato. These fresh pickles are very popular in Hungary and super healthy. Some people add dill or parsley, some people also add a tbsp of sour cream. All variations are delicious!

Guacamole salad!
Mine is onion, tomato, garlic, jalapeno pepper diced, cilantro, sea salt and I have to have Cumin in my guacamole salad as well as chili powder. I prefer mine chunky so I slice it in cubes length by width while it's still in its half shell then scoop the little cubes out with a spoon. Stir it up and add lettuce at the end and then stir a bit more but not alot. The salt makes the avocado soften up and kinda thins it out when stirred

In season I add whatever wild edibles are growing around here, now there's lots of Checkweed. Dandelion leaves and flowers are a favorite too. Endless creative possibilities. Hold the raw onion though; instant reflux for me, which no matter what I do, won't cease.
I could definitely eat guacamole every day and be totally content! I love it with eggs and on a big bed of greens with some black beans too.... no salad dressing needed, except maybe a little olive oil. 😋
Another great and informative video. Thank you!
You're a great man Eric. Thank you.
Who's Erik?
Several months ago I saw another Dr. Berg video on avocados 🥑and their benefit to the liver, I've since increased my avocado consumption. This video simply seals the deal. 😋 Lucky me, I really enjoy avocados. Thanks Dr Berg!
THANKS AGAIN FOR HELPFUL INFORMATION. WE ARE ON A HEALING JOURNEY!
Dr. Atkins cookbook has a great guacamole recipe that I've used for years. Basically & paraphrased, of course.
2 avocados smashed pretty good
1 diced jalapeno
1 diced roma tomato
1/4 c. diced onion
2 t. minced garlic
1 t. oregano dried flakes
juice of 1 lime
1 T. olive oil - slows oxidation & tastes good
salt & pepper to taste
Mix everything altogether and use as a dip or topping
You are touching every parts of our health with different kinds of food combinations . I am benefiting from your informations and sharing it too. Thank you, Dr Berg
Very glad to be of help.
My recipe is the same but I use zest of one lime as well. You’re videos are fantastic I’ve also been off bread one month and really don’t miss it.
Thanks 4 sharing the benefit of eating Guacamole
I am late to the table here, but I always take a bag of plain pork rinds with me whenever I go out for Mexican, so I can dip the guac, queso, and salsa! 😘❤️👍🏻
Love this info and guacamole! Thank you Dr. Berg for all your great info! ❤
I make a detox green Gaspacho smoothie with 1-2 avocado, 1/2-1 bunch of cilantro with stems, 2 celery ribs, 1/2 cucumber, 1/2 of a raw onion, a garlic clove, one lime juiced salt and water.
Krista you gotta try pork cracklings as a dip chip.
I will definitely give this a try. Thank you so much Dr. berg! Unfortunately they charge almost $1.60 for guacamole 🥑 at Subway which is expensive. I will look at the recipe below on how to make guacamole 🥑.
I love your videos in general, and this one in particular makes me happy because guacamole is one of my favorite foods. My recipe is similar to yours.
QUESTION: Can you show on your community page the keto chips you consume? Or a quick video showing the best bread, crackers and chips keto friendly? Thanks.

Dr. B & his wife have a great recipe for keto homemade bread in the archives... fairly recent video.
I would think you could slice that thinly & toast for guacamole "bruschetta."
@@julieannmyers8714 thank you
doc please tell us which keto crackers you consume with you guacamole.😊
@@julieannmyers8714 p
I use olive oil, lard, avocados butter etc...
Love your presentations! Eat quite a bit of guacamole. I find it is easy to hide a little turmeric in the recipe without making a noticeable difference in flavor.
So healthy & easy to make!
Thank you Dr. Berg. You break wide open the diet lies we've been sold for years as healthy! I dropped flour and sugar back in 2016. Best thing I ever did! Lost 83# and my labs are great. I eat fruit once in a GREAT while, I eat loads of veggies, meat, fish, and good fats
I put the lime zest in together with the juice plus a diced chilli to add a little kick but no garlic which is odd after watching this vid. I will try it with garlic now.
I've been using all those ingredients including turmeric, pepper, basil, and cayenne powder. Tastes amazing
Thank you so much for all the explanations I learn so much GoD bless you
I love guac but also dice them up and put them on any bowl array I eat with: chopped radishes, cabbage, arugula, cilantro or basil, cucumbers, red peppers, red onion, sprinkle with olive oil, lemon, salt and maybe balsamic vinegar and tomatoes sometimes.. the crunch makes it more of a chop salad than chip or crackers crunch. *I am not keto but do intermittent
Thanks for the info Dr Berg 🌸 I like guacamole too. I actually make avocado hummus (my recipe) 😅 in which I mix peeled sliced avocados with half a cup of tahini, garlic cloves, lime juice, salt and coriander (cilantro) in the food processor to a puree, and use it as a dip with keto crackers.
sounds delicious!
@@tyjomeb123 very 😋
Hi how many avocodos?
@@robinlaing9560 1 only per half a cup of tahini.
Can you tell me what brand of keto chips you eat 🙏🏼 please
Also love guacamole! Have it on Baked Salmon, with celery etc. Mostly though, I just have my avocado cut up on my daily OMAD salad bowl. I will start incorporating the cilantro. All other ingredients in Dr. Bergs guac recipe I am consuming every day minus the tomatoes. I press two large garlic cloves for my olive oil, apple cider vinegar salad dressing. Yumm!
gale taxera can you please give me the measurements for your salad dressing.
@@lindataylor855 Hi Linda, I use 2 Tbs. olive oil, 1Tbs. Apple cider vinegar, 1 Tbs. stoneground mustard, 2large fresh garlic cloves, crushed and allowed to activate the Allicin for 10 minutes, then sea salt and fresh ground pepper.
Thank you sounds delish.
