So only Hindus who worships Cow as a goddess can get entry inside pashupatinath main temple...foreigners who eats cow are strictly not allowed inside main temple premises....that's why Indira Gandhi was not allowed inside temple when visited back then during King Mahendra's time..

Tourism Ministry of Nepal should standardize guide through certifications. Only when one has good enough communication skills, knowledge about history and culture of Nepal and its monuments, they should be allowed to be a guide. It was difficult to understand and listen to her in this video.

In Hindu mythology, we are made of 5 basic elements (Pancha tatwa). They are land or soil, air, water, fire and sky. You are made from these and when you die your body will finally go back to disintegrate to 5 basic elements. Your soul goes to sky and your body is introduced to fire which will disintegrate further into ashes which is soil, when you let the ashes flow in water some of it will mix with air and most will dissolve in water. That's not the back side, it is the front side. All hindi temple faces east. When I was kid we could go on from the front gate but it had been 20 years they closed the front door
only Hindus are allowed inside the temple. If you try to enter the temple being non-Hindu and if security guard or the staffs identify you as a non-Hindu they wont allow you inside but its your responsibility to tell beforehand if you are not Hindu. if something is not allowed , its not allowed !! also the tourist guide couldn't explain you much and i think you deserve to know every detail after paying certain amount to your guide, she just said its a culture" most of the time, ofcourse its a culture but she couldnt tell what significance each of the process holds and why it is done so. thank you for visiting Nepal. hope you have a good stay here

The guide didn't explain well. She doesn't have adequate communication skills to be a guide neither she knows much about Hindu religion and rituals. Tourism Ministry of Nepal should standardize guide through certifications. Only when one has good enough communication skills, knowledge about history and culture of Nepal and its monuments, they should be allowed to be a guide.
It was difficult to understand and listen to her in this video.

PASHU MEANS ANIMALS PATI MEANS Supreme & THE NATH MEANS THE LORD.
One who gets the opportunity to be cremated at #Pashu-Pati-Nath doesn't have to go through the chakra of reincarnation.
Hindus hold that a person's soul leaves their body upon death and embarks on a new journey. Hindu philosophy holds that before the soul reincarnates as a human, it must first inhabit the bodies of 8.4 million distinct species. Thus, it is believed that human life is the best type of life. It is only in this life that one can attempt to break free from the "wheel of life," or "Samsara," by doing good karma (good deeds). The individual's Karma in this life will determine whether they are free to enter a new cycle of existence. The grace of union with the Existence (the supreme soul) will be enjoyed by an emancipated soul.
In Hinduism, the physical body has no significance after death. The soul is eternal, and the body is merely its outermost layer. The transition from one body to another-which might not be human-is called death. All material objects are composed of Panchabhuta, or the five elements. Fire and water must thus be used to reduce the object to these five elements. Panchabhuta: The "five great elements" of Hinduism are bhūmi (earth), ap or jala (water), tejas or agni (fire), marut, vayu or pavan (air or wind), and vyom or shunya (space or zero) or akash (aether or void). The system of five elements is found in Vedas, especially Ayurveda.
After death, the physical body has no further use. It does not need to be preserved as a result. Since they think it's the quickest way to release the soul and aid in reincarnation, they decide to cremate their loved ones. In Sanskrit, asthi refers to the leftover ashes from cremation. An essential Hindu funeral ritual called asthi visarjan, or the immersion of ashes in water, is carried out to aid in the soul's transition and attain moksha (liberation). For the family, this ceremony represents the ultimate act of closure.

The guide gave tourists misinformation that I did not like. Because everybody is allowed to enter the Pashupatinath temple. But Only Hindu people have faith in the Hindu god. A person who follows every religion like Hinduism, Buddhism, and Christianity has the right to enter Pashupatinath. There is no burden. So don't give anyone misinformation about our religion and cultural heritage.
She did that in previous video aswell. She lacks information though she have 10 years experience.Her english is not so good for being guide😅😅

Hi Ryleigh. I was raised in the Pashupatinath premises, and Pashupati is what I call home. Having been living abroad for a while now, it felt very nostalgic to watch home on TV. A very special feeling indeed. Thank you so much for sharing.
I wanted to share something with you too- anytime, I would feel overwhelmed with life, I would sit at the bank of the river and watch the cremation process. Somehow, while doing so, it used to feel as though my problems had faded away and they no longer mattered.

Aarati is a ritual of worship in which light from wicks soaked in ghee (purified butter) is offered to God. Pashupati Bagmati Aarati follows three priests conducting the custom with oil lamps, lanterns and other religious elements by chanting sacred mantra.

Pashu (Animals)+ Patinath (Lord)=Lord of Animals. IN Hindu religion, everyone wants to attain Moksha after death rather than being the part of life & death cycle. What our belief says is, After Moksha, the soul become the part of Lord Shiva. Yellow/Orange color have high significance in Hindu religion, that is the reason, every religious work we do in Yellow or in Orange cloths. Washing them with holy water signifies that we are making his body pure as he is going to be the part of Lord Shiva. Blowing Horn ("Shankh") means, summoning the gods, it also signifies the its the beginning of religious activity and people should be attentive to that.

In Hindu mythology, we are made of 5 basic elements (Pancha tatwa). They are land or soil, air, water, fire and sky. You are made from these and when you die your body will finally go back to disintegrate to 5 basic elements. Your soul goes to sky and your body is introduced to fire which will disintegrate further into ashes which is soil, when you let the ashes flow in water some of it will mix with air and most will dissolve in water. So a life started from earth is finally submitted back to earth. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Words are the most powerfull then we think in hindu the MANTRAS and chanting all of that have its significance. In our lifetime you use words that is not good or unintended your speak which may have been hurt to others so it must be burnt first. And if you see in Mahabharat the hindu holy book there is big fight against brothers which is started by the un pleasant word by KRISHNA(durpadi) to Durodhan and later catalystized by NOT SPEAKING BY HONORABLE PERSON in the country seeing injustice happening . only Hindus are allowed inside the temple. If you try to enter the temple being non-Hindu and if security guard or the staffs identify you as a non-Hindu they wont allow you inside but its your responsibility to tell beforehand if you are not Hindu. if something is not allowed , its not allowed !! also the tourist guide couldn't explain you much and i think you deserve to know every detail after paying certain amount to your guide, she just said its a culture" most of the time, ofcourse its a culture but she couldnt tell what significance each of the process holds and why it is done so. thank you for visiting Nepal. hope you have a good stay here
