It's the Honda pedal dance. To fully disable TCS:
    1. Turn car on
    2. Parking brake off
    3. Press and hold brake pedal
    4. Turn traction control on and off
    5. Release brake pedal
    6. Parking brake on
    7. Turn traction control on and off

    10. Traction control light should be solid and another light blinking

Hahaha! I would seriously consider getting one of those!
I have a FK8 and I like cars that handle and we’ve had two Honda odysseys, a 2000 and a 2012. The 2000 model actually is a really good foundation for a “performance minivan”. It was really nimble and when you removed the middle row seats, it did make a little bit of a difference. I actually at one point put on 2003 Mustang Mach 1 rims and it handled fairly well for a minivan.

I Chose the Elantra N DCT in Performance Blue to how amazing it. is. I am not sure if you guys know, but a simple $50 set of bushings solves the wheel hop and makes a world of difference. Also looks are subjective, and the EN looks (To me) better than the FK8. Also the DCT makes a world of difference and makes the EN very similar in performance to the Type R. I've had a deposit on this Type R since 2021 in Canada and still haven't been able to get one. The Honda dealer recently told me that there is extremely limited quantities in Canada. Only 95 units will be allocated here in 2023. Pretty sad as they could easily sell much much more than that immediately. Not sure if it's because of shortages on parts or the fact that they want it to be a very rare and exclusive car. Also, why is no one talking about the new parking sensors on Canadian models? And has blind spot indicators along with all of the other safety tech. I realize it's a Type R but these make it an even better daily driver.

@@noface1783 Nope. The dealer got 1 and gave everyone else their money back. They said they have no idea when more could come so no one else can get a car. Several months later I saw another one pulling off of the delivery truck. I’m sure that one was already sold before it arrived.
I’ve only seen two on the roads in Vancouver Canada. They are extremely rare. Now I’m also beginning to look at the Integra Type S. it seems like basically the same package. But also rare at the moment.

I'm so over dealerships, and especially Honda at this point. Wife and I owned an S2000 for 12 years and now have a Focus RS. We contact the Honda dealer wanting to test drive the Civic Si and they book us for a time slot a week later. We show up and they immediately pull some crap about having to sign on the dotted line before we get a test drive. We objected asking why and were told "because this is such a special car". We laughed explaining to them what was parked outside and how we've been test driving cars double the money (or more) with no issues from higher end brands. They were insistent and we walked away without even sitting in the stupid thing.
All of this is after my dad had gone to the dealer when the Civic Type R was new to the US trying to test drive one and they told him the same malarky even though he had a more expensive vehicle than the CTR. So obviously a recurring theme.
I'm not even close to young and I don't have an issue with affording these machines. I could understand Ferrari or McLaren asking some very pointed questions about my finances before I got a test drive, but a $30k or $45k Honda? Give me a break. Bubba up yonder has a meth, tobacco, and energy drink habit and rolls home in a $75k truck but Lord help us if we let a responsible middle aged couple drive a frickin Civic.

I bought an Elantra N (performance blue, 6MT). In no universe is the Type R worth $13,000 Canadian dollars (plus tax!) more IMO. If the difference was more like 7 grand then sure. Car critics love to call it ugly, but literally everyone who sees it in person loves it. I've had half my building randomly approach me to compliment me on the car (especially the colour) at this point lol. Never mind the fact that dealers already sold out of their allocations for the next 3 years on the Type R before the review embargo even lifted...same deal with the Corolla, so does it really matter if either car is worth the price over an EN when the EN is the only one of the 3 you can realistically purchase?

At 43K it is totally worth it and prices nicely against the Golf R, Audi S3 and (was WRX STI) but at 70K it's just not worth it when you can get an RS3 or BMW M340, or CLA45 for that kind of money.

that driving style is an actual thing, it's not just 'over driving'. It's most common/easiest on go karts as it does give you more grip around corners, you are wearing out the tyres more tho. What happens is you are digging the edges of the tyre into the road more when you turn, due to the linkages the wheel gains additional angle of camber. Doesn't work as well in our drive by wire steering modern cars, but in older cars (and F1) it really works.
