How to find a roof leak in an attack made easy is what this DIY howto video is about. VideoJoe is at his Motha's house & it rained the other day & water started coming out right at an eyeball can light fixture in her kitchen ceiling. It only rained for an hour or so but it did in fact rain pretty hard & this was the first time she has noticed she has a water leak to her roof. Even though it's the next day VideoJoe thought he would get up in the attic & see if he could pin point where the water was coming in at or at least check to see how wet the attic insulation got around the light fixture can & maybe move around to let it dry or whatever. Maybe he can also see where the water has been coming in from the roof or if he can't find the roof leak entrance he will at least be able to check everything out & it might rain again within the next few days & if he's still here then he can come back up in the attic when it's raining to see where the water is coming in at so he can then know where to go up on the roof to patch the roof. Yes I finally ear marked & pin pointed the roof leak & tried to fix myself only to have Motha tell me it was still leaking. Had a roofing friend come out & presto, he found it right off! Sometimes you have to call a roofer but I always try to locate & fix myself first in case I can save some money!
