In the wild stallions will kill foals and even sheep. I've seen a video floating around of a wild stallion shaking a dead sheep around like a jolly ball. When they kill something since they don't have claws or anything to kill it with, they throw and shake them around. They don't just stomp them dead, they shake them to death. Plus, stallions have two canine teeth on the bottom jaw where the bit goes.

This is only one of the dozens of ancient horse breeds that were bred for war aka. War Horses. All war horse breeds are this huge, the old English ones are even bigger and more muscular. The best part about these horses is that they are strong enough to wear over 130 kg of steel armor on them, along with a soldier/knight who is also wearing about 60 kg of armor, weapons and shields and still be able to jump over huge fences just like your regular horses, some of them can jump eve higher...
I was mesmerized by how obedient and docile this huge horse is in simply doing exactly as this small woman wanted it to do. Amazing....it's beautiful to behold.
I live about 40 minutes away and have went their many times. He is so sweet. Everybody is scared of him lol. He is literally the definition of gentle giant.
This Belgian is gorgeous!! Kills my soul to think all he does is work in the field. By his neck & overall size, I’m guessing he’s a stallion. I’m praying he just hangs out & breeds mares. He is super Majestic!! Would love to ride him!!!!♥️♥️♥️
The Amish would not care for a horse they only kept around to breed. If the value of its work does not exceed the cost of its care, you can bet it’s being sold for meat, dumped at an auction, or simply left to fend for itself.
Those were my thoughts exactly! Impeccably clean! I imagine their stalls to be just as such. The beauty of the Amish is their purity. I’ve been blessed to speak with a gentleman that was higher up in the community when we rode through Colorado springs and stayed there overnight. I came away with a love and respect for these family oriented folks.

Belgian drafts are absolutely stunning. They also have quite the personality lol. All Belgians are either gentle giants or crackheads. There is no in between.
Draft horse breeds are majestic! I had the honor of visiting the Budweiser Clydesdales a few years back. You know that they are giants, but it's still startling to stand next to one in person.
It's hard for me to believe that some horse get that big. I've always wanted to care for and befriend a horse, I'd be one proud owner of something this magnificent.

Looking at there buggy horses (that had been driven there not those for sale) and draft horses being sold, the majority were in very good shape. He’s a beautiful boy. The best part? Is watching these gentle giants navigate around kids! My draft cross mare was standing out in the pasture, grazing, & my daughter climbed beneath the fence when I was feeding the horses. And she immediately plowed right into the back of my mare’s back legs. She looked at me with a look of stern reproof & said, “Come get your damn little human”. Without taking a step or even shifting. I felt properly admonished & even apologized. My 2 year old daughter got the scolding of her life.

I’ve been to this farm so many times. He’s super gorgeous and really sweet but has a bit of a hard time opening up to people and won’t usually take carrot chips from your hand. Absolutely gorgeous boy.
You have no clue, they dont crop tails in these breed. The tail hair is folded under the tail and tied to keep from getting in the rigging. Get educated!

In Grass Valley CA they have a draft horse fair every year.. (not this year im guessing) The Draft Horse Classic... You can see every kind of draft horse there is, up close. Also get to see them perform the traditional work they were used for.

It’s cool that the Amish have taken to elevating the Belgian breed & I have seen some of their gorgeous horses out in the fields & while they work hard, their horses are well cared for & cherished. I fed this horse today I visited the hersberger farm and I gave him carrots and it’s funny because as soon as he finishes a carrot he stomps his foot that he’s ready for more lol … the biggest horse I’ve ever seen in my life and very sweet!

I ride & have horses & my daughter does rodeos. She often sneaks photos of people’s “purse dogs” that run around & bark at horse’s feet. They darn lucky they don’t get kicked or end up dead. But those that do get kicked usually have “Karen” owners that SCREAM at horse owners. Never mind their dog is running loose & not behaving.

Large drafts are actually quite docile, much safer than say a pony despite their size. As long as you dont make them work too hard they wont argue 🤣

The horse is at hershburger's farm and bakery in Ohio. He is really a sweetheart, I've been there multiple times.

I fed this horse today I visited the hersberger farm and I gave him carrots and it’s funny because as soon as he finishes a carrot he stomps his foot that he’s ready for more lol … the biggest horse I’ve ever seen in my life and very sweet!

I ride & have horses & my daughter does rodeos. She often sneaks photos of people’s “purse dogs” that run around & bark at horse’s feet. They darn lucky they don’t get kicked or end up dead. But those that do get kicked usually have “Karen” owners that SCREAM at horse owners. Never mind their dog is running loose & not behaving.
Imagine how long it would take to muck his stall.

Amish train their horses different. I rode a former Amish buggy horse and it was unexplainable how well mannered he was.

It's a purebred Belgian draft. That's just how they look, the big neck is because he's a stallion

i have been there many times and he is very gentle, there’s so many other animals there too like, parrots, horses, fluffy cows, baby coats, pigs an much more he is a sweetheart 💗 it’s near Berlin, OH. it’s hershbergers farm 😊
