I used to think that its funny seeing people say 'shes a nice mover' etc as I used to think that all horses moved nicely. I was wrong. After riding an ex-trotter standardbred that made my butt numb, I've become more aware of the nuances. The spring in their step, the length of their step and depth in their step, all important 😂

Ryan helped me train mine and my daughters horse when they were 2 and 3 years old. They have been great horses and are now 18 and 19 years old. They have never strayed from their lessons with Ryan. They don't run away. They respect my space and me mounting them. They are excellent in reining and leg pressure. I have no problems trailering them. I can ride in all terrains, including crossing streams, and then take them to the show arena. I'm glad I invested in his training sessions and it saved me alot of headaches down the road.

Hi Ryan! This was a very good training session for this horse, and you did a great job with her. I don’t have horses in my life now, but I have worked with them from my early 20’s to just a couple of years ago at the age of 68. I lost my last horse a couple of years ago to old age and the rigours of his time as a reasonably successful cutting horse. He was 32yo when he passed, and I had him as my friend since he was 10yo, so I felt his loss deeply.
I am 70 now and my old bones can no longer respond the way they need to when starting young horses or competing, or just sitting on a good horse for any length of time.
Your channel provides me with a lot of pleasure, and I love to watch you work with these horses that need a little help to reach there potential. Your videos take me back to earlier times in my life with horses, and evoke some fond memories, and for that I thank you. Keep up the great work, and greetings from Australia 🇦🇺!

I was privileged to attend a number of Ray Hunt sessions back in the day, and I appreciate so much your baseline of observing where the horse "is." I watched another guy who (I thought) was into looking for where the horse was "wrong" and "fixing" it. It wasn't forceful, and it was still observing, but it wasn't honoring "the slightest try," like Ray used to say. It's one of those funny life things, that NOT having pre-set expectations invites the "come-along." I hope lots of folks are watching and listening to you!

This takes me back to North Dakota when I saved a mare from abuse. I named her Diamond because she was a diamond in the ruff. After earning each other's trust, she stood pretty good for hoof trimming. It didn't take long to get her weight back on her as she had been tied to a heavy object with a rope around her neck. All she had was very little grass available, no water and just skin and bones. Trust came very quick! She even provided a foal and was a fantastic mother! I'm 60 now and have moved back home to Texas. I miss my little slice of heaven in North Dakota and having horses! Thanks for sharing this video and bringing me back to my horse days!GOD bless!🙏🙏🙏

Just wanted to say I watch a lot of horse training videos. I've only subscribed to two channels, Steve Young Horsemanship (from Wales), and yours. You both take pretty much the same approach, and it makes the most sense to me. There are so many trainers in the US with RUclips channels where the techniques look downright wrong but the production values of the videos are great, making the trainer look like some sort of western hero while he basically whips a horse into submission. The attitude is the horse is being "bad" and needs to be shown who is boss. Thanks for being another sane, knowledgeable voice out there.

I’m 60 and love horses, but as a kid at 5 I walked underneath one. I was told they were really scared what she done. Well she only stomped or kicked my knee, and I still have a scar. It never took my love away from them tho. I won’t lie, I was scared until five or so years ago when I decided to take an apple to the field to feed my cousins horse, who I love so much. His name is blue, but at 60 years old now I’ve never rode. He hasn’t been rode in 10 or more years, but every time I go visit, I bring him and his two girls an apple. He knows now when I get out the car. I do wish I could ride any horse tho, that’s ok with it. One of my favorite to meet is a freshen. Their an amazing spectacular horse. Thank you for letting me tell my little story, and keep teaching and loving because their amazing animals.

RYAN ROSE is the GOAT of horse communication, sure he learned from others, but he perfected his way. and I LEARNED from watching over 20 of his videos. I can't believe I went from touching a horse once in my life in 40 years, to owning 3, " had the land & were rescues" life works in weird ways, & worried as can be, on what am I going to do.
Finding Ryan's videos and Studying day and night amd learning from him.
and Well, the horses are doing well, and my wife loves that she can touch them now. and still working to be able to ride them soon, I hope.
    THANK YOU RYAN ROSE 🌹

I adore the way of training here and learned a lot, altough it's basic, it's the energy of the teacher and the way he does things. Thank you so much for shearing❤

She jumps beautifully too! My friend owned her before this person! She was so sweet, but was too scared to come up to people.

You’re brave! Riding a baby in that much wind can be very scary. She’s such a good girl.

It is amazing how easy it seemed to be as he went step by step in showing the horse what he wanted her to do just by being gentle and soft commands, i can tell hes a man that loves horses and loves his job working with them, i would love to do the same.

Hi Ryan! That was a great training video. I was wondering if you would ever considermaking a video about different careers working with horses and how to enter those fields. Thank you cant wait for the next video!
