  • In the final part of the "creating fur" tutorial series, we'll be working on an example of details, in this case being the ears. They are their own hair system and I'll go over on how to approach something like that.
With this tutorial series, I hope to give you the tips & tricks to create your own desired animal fur just like I did with our fella Merry in this tutorial.
You can find the result as an asset within the Blender Universe asset library for free for a limited time.
    bakeduniverse....
Please follow the following steps if you use the Syberian Cat Fur asset:
    1. Drag and drop it in your scene from the Blender Universe library.
    2. Move the collection to the world origin.
    3. Go to object - apply - make instances real.
    4. You'll now be able to see the different fur systems and the geometry nodes that shape them.
    Cheers,
    Nino

Where’s the final rendering?! I appreciate you taking the time to show your steps but why not show the final rendered results? Even a still image would be helpful.

trying something this in real model of animal with armature and this new GN hair system have a so lagging result already with low density hair. in animated mesh you can`t use it in real work. so sadly

You can convert the geometry node system to an old school hair particle system where you'll be able to have physics. You can do so by selecting the hair, going to sculpt mode and selecting curves -> conver to particle system. The other way is to add a simulation zone in the geometry nodes and making a physics system yourself. It's hard, but it is possible. Have a look at the incredible youtuber & geometry node guru Cartesian Caramel. He has a video on it I believe.
