Added my own head from Nomad and I can't add hair. So fallen at the first hurdle. :(
@@biffoire77 Does it have a proper UV map?
@@NinoDefoq Thats what I'm just checking now. I can see a UV map in UV mode but not sure it it's right. Nomad has 2 ways of UV unwrapping so going to try both ways. Thanks for your help. :)

Tip: If your hair shape diameter not working, you have to be in render viewport and change the curve setting in render properties to strip

@stepanshnder1850 @stepanshnder1850 It's not directly exportable to other softwares. In general reselling of the product is product itself is not allowed. Commercial use of fully approved though. Check the standard royalty free license on Blendermarkrt for example for details if you're still wondering. Cheers!

If you're a Texture Paint noob (like me) and you can't figure out how to "set it to black" at 3:55, tap the 'X' key to swp the black/white colors. Also, if you see only six big squares instead of a whole bunch of little ones, apply the subdivision modifier on the original cube. Welp, applying the subdivision modifier may have been a bad idea? After doing the Texture Paint, and switching back to object mode, all my fur is in a cube shape surrounding the spherical Emitter.

great stuff, but can you apply hair physic dynamics to this hair after you are done , like the hair in the particle system ?
why so many guide hairs. surely the point is make less guide hairs and then interpoate between them? The one thjng missing from this new system is a paint modfier like in xgen, ie the abilty to sculpt the indivdual hairs, not just the guides. You have to collapse all the modifiers before you can do this ita a really essential feature as just using modifers is not enough

Maybe you could've started with a cylinder, then shaped the cupcake with loop cuts. Also, you need to use real life dimensions for your basic shape before start modeling, the object size is important because it affects your illumination.

I downloaded the Blender Universe demo and I can't find the Webify asset. Very Disappointed
ran into issues that this video did not cover and only showing the workflow on a sphere is not a good example when u are working on a complex model.

Thank you for this! I always forget that Geometry Nodes exist and I was just in need for Dust on the short animation I'm currently creating and I don't really like to do Dust with Hair Particles as it doesn't give enough control over the animation and for the first time ever I feel like getting the exact result I want! Only thing I needed to add to this was to set an another Noise texture of an already existing Noise texture's Vector Input and I'm using this another Noise Texture's <W> value as a final Seed value for final locations for the Dust Particles. I'm not sure if it's "right" way to do it, but at least it works.

I don't understand why you would make low poly feathers and hi poly at the same time and why you would make such an improper hi poly model and then make variations of if before even finishing the first one... I might recommend scripting a tutorial out before starting to record, im confused af, but i am learning stuff. So thank you.
