hey i tried to follow this guide step by step not exact but similar work a couple things i didnt like i would not add but those are minor, anyhow when i reached the texturing part when i set the wave texture to Y it still showed the same result as the X and it stayed horizontal to the leaf and in a circular pattern hopefully you can help me thank you so much for this amazing guide btw.
I am experiencing an issue with it, for my own take on it I tried making it and the textureing isn't working at all. I went through all the steps again and it doesn't show some of the values it shows for you

looks cool and all. but its faster to hand make it and you have more control. just think it looks abit mechanic, and allso you are using way to many polygons. and you are pretty much forming the players. instead of using textures but intresting video. but this seems tedious to add to any pipeline. it takes less than 5 min to hand make.
Glad you can make a flower quicker peter, this is however to show some fun geometry nodes and play around with the repeat zone. It's not meant to be a quicker way to make a flower, but rather showcase ideas on how to procedurally create stuff with geometry nodes.

You can try adding a vector in the wave texture vector input perhaps and giving a specific direction?
